  • Redirect in codeigniter after login

    - by edelweiss
    Trying to do a redirect after a successful login. The login info is sent using ajax to the controller. My controller code as below public function login_controller_function() { $this->load->model('login_model'); if ($this->input->is_ajax_request()) { $user_name=$this->input->post('username'); $user_password = $this->input->post('password'); $this->load->helper('url'); $result = $this->login_model->verify_user($user_name,$user_password); // echo 'user_logged_in'; if(strcmp($result,'user_logged_in')==0) { redirect('welcome'); } } } But it is not working at all. Anyone knows whats wrong? Hi my html as requested. i am using twitter bootstrap as well <li class="divider-vertical"></li> <li><a href="#" id="login_btn">Login</a></li> <li><a href="<?php echo base_url('register'); ?>">Register</a></li> for the buttons so when i click the login button, a modal window will appear and ask for login info. so when i click on the login button, my js code will send an ajax request my js code as below /*Attempt register user jquery ajax*/ $('#login').click(function(){ var user_name = $('#loginHere').find('#user_name').val(); var user_password = $('#loginHere').find('#login_pwd').val(); if(user_name==""||user_password=="") return; var login_data = { username:user_name, password:user_password}; $.ajax({ type: "POST", dataType: "json", async: false, url:"login_register/login_controller_function", data: login_data, success: function(data) { if(data.login) { alert(data.redirect); window.location.replace(data.redirect); } else if(!data.login) { alert('data login not true'); } }, error:function(data){ alert('ajax error'); } }); }); });

  • Preallocating memory with C++ in realtime environment

    - by Elazar Leibovich
    I'm having a function which gets an input buffer of n bytes, and needs an auxillary buffer of n bytes in order to process the given input buffer. (I know vector is allocating memory at runtime, let's say that I'm using a vector which uses static preallocated memory. Imagine this is NOT an STL vector.) The usual approach is void processData(vector<T> &vec) { vector<T> &aux = new vector<T>(vec.size()); //dynamically allocate memory // process data } //usage: processData(v) Since I'm working in a real time environment, I wish to preallocate all the memory I'll ever need in advance. The buffer is allocated only once at startup. I want that whenever I'm allocating a vector, I'll automatically allocate auxillary buffer for my processData function. I can do something similar with a template function static void _processData(vector<T> &vec,vector<T> &aux) { // process data } template<size_t sz> void processData(vector<T> &vec) { static aux_buffer[sz]; vector aux(vec.size(),aux_buffer); // use aux_buffer for the vector _processData(vec,aux); } // usage: processData<V_MAX_SIZE>(v); However working alot with templates is not much fun (now let's recompile everything since I changed a comment!), and it forces me to do some bookkeeping whenever I use this function. Are there any nicer designs around this problem?

  • firefox does not load large size images

    - by Pradeep
    I am stuck with a kind of bug in FF, wherein it’s unable to load images of big size (I have 8 MB size of image) from the server. The loading of image is all fine on IE. I am still looking out for ways to get rid of this problem. I changed server(IIS) settings to allow bigger file sizes. Also, I used “load” event on image using JQuery and tried all sort of options listed here http://api.jquery.com/load-event/, but nothing worked so far. If anyone of you has come across any such similar problem, and a way to resolve it, it would be nice to hear from you Please note: high resolution images are part of the requirement. Code : <style> img { background-color: #FFFFFF; background-image: url(http://eremurus.hyd:8080/QMS/plugin/imagepanner/loader.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center center; } </style> <script src="../plugin/jquery-ui-1.8.7.custom/js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script> jQuery(document).ready(function($){ ///var _url = "http://eremurus.hyd:8080/QMS/plugin/imagepanner/floorPlan.jpg"; // set up the node / element _im =$("#main"); //_im.bind("load",function(){ $(this).fadeIn(); }); // set the src attribute now, after insertion to the DOM //_im.attr('src',_url); $("#main").one("load",function(){ alert('loaded'); }) .each(function(){ if(this.complete){ $(this).trigger("load"); } }); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="target"><img id='main' src="http://eremurus.hyd:8080/QMS/plugin/imagepanner/floorPlan.jpg"> </img></div> </body> </html>

    - by Balu
    I am doing a webservice in phonegap.Here the application fetch values from a xml file in remote server when user search particular keyword and load the content to a div in my application.Here my problem is I want to show toast message like "loading..." or "progressing..." till the content is loaded into the div of application.I have created a toast message.But I dont know how to hide the toast message after the content is loaded since the time for fetching values from xml file is different for different keywords. • How to make chrome.tabs.update works with content script

    - by user1673772
    I work on a little extension on Google Chrome, I want to create a new tab, go on the url "sample"+i+".com", launch a content script on this url, update the current tab to "sample"+(i+1)+".com", and launch the same script. I looked the Q&A available on stackoverflow and I google it but I didn't found a solution who works. This is my actually code of background.js (it works), it creates two tabs (i=21 and i=22) and load my content script for each url, when I tried to do a chrome.tabs.update Chrome launchs directly a tab with i = 22 (and the script works only one time) : function extraction(tab) { for (var i =21; i<23;i++) { chrome.storage.sync.set({'extraction' : 1}, function() {}); //for my content script chrome.tabs.create({url: "http://example.com/"+i+".html"}, function() {}); } } chrome.browserAction.onClicked.addListener(function(tab) {extraction(tab);}); If anyone can help me, the content script and manifest.json are not the problem. I want to make that 15000 times so I can't do otherwise. Thank you.

  • Printing an Image embedded into an asp.net page. C#

    - by user1683846
    I am looking to print using C#, micorsoft visual studio, asp.net. The goal:- I am trying to print all pages in a fax document. Format:- The fax document is received as a single .tiff file with multiple pages. What needs to be done:- I need to iterate each page in the .tiff image and print them all. // This function will iterate all pages, one at a time. // protected void PrintAll_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { // counts number of pages in the fax document.// int number = _FaxPages.Count; // for loop to iterate through each page. // for (int i = 0; i < number; i++) { string _FaxId = Page.Request["FaxId"]; _PageIndex = i; imgFax.ImageUrl = "ShowFax.ashx?n=" + _FaxId + "&f=" + _PageIndex + "&mw=750"; PrintAll.Attributes.Add("onclick", "return printing()"); } } and In my Java script I have: function printing() { window.print(); } Now the issues are: <1 The function only prints one page (the very last page of the tiff file)....and it prints the entire window and not just the embedded .tiff image in the entire web browser window. Any Ideas of how to go about just printing the .tiff embedded image instead of the entire web browser window. <2 Although my for loop iterates through the pages. The print function is only called after the loop has iterated through all the pages and stopped on the final page (say page 6/6). And then it only prints that last page (along with the rest of the contents on the browser window). This is not what I want to happen... I dont want to print all the excess material on the browser window such as buttons, links etc... I just want the embedded .tiff image from the browser window.

  • Need help with jQuery/AJAX call in Safari/Mac

    - by protohominid
    I've got something that works perfectly in FF and MSIE but it's not working properly in Safari. It's a form with selects that get updated via AJAX/jQuery from a MySQL DB. In Safari, when you select the first item, it correctly loads the options for the next select menu; however, when you choose one of those (which loads new options in a subsequent select menu), the whole form resets and is broken from that point on. Does anyone know of a Safari bug that would cause this? Here's the JS: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#searchForm select").change(updateSearchForm); }); function updateSearchForm() { $.ajax({ url: '/elements/search_form.php?ajax=true', data: $('#searchForm').serialize(), error:function(xhr,err){ alert("readyState: "+xhr.readyState+"\nstatus: "+xhr.status); alert("responseText: "+xhr.responseText); }, success: function(data) { $("#searchForm").html(data); $("#searchForm select").change(updateSearchForm); } }); } I can post the relevant PHP/HTML for the form, but it's lengthy. I'm relatively new to JS so I'm not sure where to start debugging this... TIA

  • Passing a Variable into jQuery AJAX

    - by Scott
    I'm stuck in a rut. I hope some one can help. Basically, I am building an AJAX mobile web app with jQuery. I am able to parse a specific XML file just fine, but I want the option to parse other XML files based on the link they were clicked on and load them on the fly into the same DIV or UL. So: click on Link1, loads XML1 click on Link2, loads XML2 I would like to be able to do this all client side, so no PHP (or is that a bad idea?). This the jquery code I've been using: $(document).ready(function() { $("a.load_ajax").click(loadAjax()); function loadAjax() { var fileID = get('?lineID='); var dataID = "xml/" + fileID + ".xml" $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: dataID, dataType: "xml", success: parseXml }); function parseXml(xml) { $(xml).find("train").each(function() { $("ul#ajax-output").append('<li>' + $(this).find("time").text() + '</li>'); }); } } }); Its just not working at all. I have been passing the variable using GET in the url. So the link in the HTML goes to /?lineID=SBD_to_Union and it should load the XML file called SBD_to_Union.xml Making sense to anyone? I'd appreciate some help.

  • Disable specific dates in jquery

    - by rvdb86
    I am using the jquery date picker found here: http://www.kelvinluck.com/assets/jquery/datePicker/v2/demo/datePickerStartEnd.html that allows the user to pick a start and end date. However I want to be able to disable specific dates. I tried to implement the code found here: stackoverflow.com/questions/501943/can-the-jquery-ui-datepicker-be-made-to-disable-saturdays-and-sundays-and-holida that discusses disabling national holidays. Here is my complete code: $(function() { $('.date-pick').datePicker({ beforeShowDay: nationalDays}) // $(".selector").datepicker({ beforeShowDay: nationalDays}) var natDays = [ [1, 26, 'au'], [2, 6, 'nz'], [3, 17, 'ie'], [4, 27, 'za'], [5, 25, 'ar'], [6, 6, 'se'], [7, 4, 'us'], [8, 17, 'id'], [9, 7, 'br'], [10, 1, 'cn'], [11, 22, 'lb'], [12, 12, 'ke'] ]; function nationalDays(date) { for (i = 0; i < natDays.length; i++) { if (date.getMonth() == natDays[i][0] - 1 && date.getDate() == natDays[i][1]) { return [false, natDays[i][2] + '_day']; } } return [true, '']; } $('#start-date').bind( 'dpClosed', function(e, selectedDates) { var d = selectedDates[0]; if (d) { d = new Date(d); $('#end-date').dpSetStartDate(d.addDays(1).asString()); } } ); $('#end-date').bind( 'dpClosed', function(e, selectedDates) { var d = selectedDates[0]; if (d) { d = new Date(d); $('#start-date').dpSetEndDate(d.addDays(-1).asString()); } } ); }); But this does not seem to work. I would really appreciate any assistance with solving this!

  • IE AJAX/Jquery issue - redirecting to new page instead of loading it into a div

    - by phx-zs
    I have a page like this: <form class="ajax" method="post" action="add_item.php"> [text input] [submit button] </form> [list any items the user has in a div here called #items] When the user clicks the submit button, a function like this is called: $("form.ajax").live('submit', function(event) { params = $(this).serialize(); $.post($(this).attr("action"), params, function(data){ json = $.parseJSON(data); // do stuff based on the json results if(json.success.action == 'replace'){ $(json.success.container).html(json.success.message); } else{ $(json.success.container).prepend(json.success.message); $(json.success.container).find(".item:first").slideDown(); } }); event.returnValue = false; return false; }); This is supposed to load add_item.php into the #items div, and it works fine in FF, Chrome, Safari, just not IE. In IE (tested 7 and 8) when I click Submit it redirects the page to add_item.php rather than loading it into the #items div. I tried adding event.preventDefault(); to the end of the function but that didn't work. Any ideas?

  • Asynchronous javascript issue

    - by amit
    I am trying to create a function which takes values from various html elements of the page to create a string and pass on to a variable. now this works great for all browsers except IE 8 and 9. IE tends to skip the part of fetching the values and goes straight to the variable and finds nothing.. is there a way to sync it all so that it works in IE? function seturl() { var qstring = returnQString(); $('span.keyword').text($.trim($('#hdnKeyWord').attr('value'))); $('input.search_box').attr('value', $.trim($('#hdnKeyWord').attr('value'))); $('#hdnSearchKeyword').attr('value', $.trim($('#hdnKeyWord').attr('value'))); $(".search_box").val($.trim($("#hdn_span_hdnKeyWord").text())); $(".header_inner input[type='text']").focus(); $(".search_term input[type='text']").focus(); $('#locationurl').attr('value', qstring); } function returnQString(){ var qstring = $.trim($('#locationurl').attr('init')); //initial value of the url qstring += "?type=" + $('#hdnSTSearch').attr('value'); // type of handler hit qstring += "&keyword=" + encodeURIComponent($('#hdnKeyWord').attr('value')); // keyword addition qstring += "&pagestart=" + $('#current_page').attr('value'); // pagestart(current page) addition qstring += "&pagesize=" + $('#show_per_page').attr('value'); // per page size addition qstring += "&facets=" // facetsearch $.each(selectedFilter.items, function (index, value) { qstring += value.filter + ","; }); qstring += "&selectedSection=" + selectedSection // Section Select return qstring; }

  • Multiple leaf methods problem in composite pattern

    - by Ondrej Slinták
    At work, we are developing an PHP application that would be later re-programmed into Java. With some basic knowledge of Java, we are trying to design everything to be easily re-written, without any headaches. Interesting problem came out when we tried to implement composite pattern with huge number of methods in leafs. What are we trying to achieve (not using interfaces, it's just an example): class Composite { ... } class LeafOne { public function Foo( ); public function Moo( ); } class LeafTwo { public function Bar( ); public function Baz( ); } $c = new Composite( Array( new LeafOne( ), new LeafTwo( ) ) ); // will call method Foo in all classes in composite that contain this method $c->Foo( ); It seems like pretty much classic Composite pattern, but problem is that we will have quite many leaf classes and each of them might have ~5 methods (of which few might be different than others). One of our solutions, which seems to be the best one so far and might actually work, is using __call magic method to call methods in leafs. Unfortunately, we don't know if there is an equivalent of it in Java. So the actual question is: Is there a better solution for this, using code that would be eventually easily re-coded into Java? Or do you recommend any other solution? Perhaps there's some different, better pattern I could use here. In case there's something unclear, just ask and I'll edit this post.

  • how can you have the same form handle by javascript multiple times on the same page?

    - by DeChamp
    I have a thumb gallery where I am using ajax/javascript to submit a form per image to report the image as broken seamlessly along with php. The form and script is templated so the script is in the header and then the form is printed multiple times on the same page with a hidden field with a different id for the value per thumb. So basically this is what i have. javascript in header just a quick idea of the forms i have. Just a quick idea not what I actually have. image1 followed by the form image2 followed by the form So when you hit the button it basically submits all of the forms at the same time. I am sure it can be fixed with a (this) or something like that so it only submits a single form at a time. Let me know please. $(function() { $(".submit").click(function() { var imgId = $("#imgId").val(); var dataString = 'imgId='+ imgId; if(imgId==''){ $('.success').fadeOut(200).hide(); $('.error').fadeIn(200).show(); $('.error').fadeOut(200).hide(); }else{ $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "inc/brokenImgReport.php", data: dataString, success: function(){ }); $('.error').fadeOut(200).hide(); $('.success').fadeIn(200).show(); setTimeout(function() { $('.success').fadeOut(200); }, 2000); } return false; }); });

  • How to use ID selector after jQuery html()

    - by user555617
    It's amazing to try to understand why the function alert("hello") is not generated after clicking more than once... There is some method to do this function is executed? Note that doesn't work after update using html() involving id "press" in button. Any idea? See: http://jsbin.com/atuqu3 JavaScript: $(document).ready(function (){ $("#press").click(function() { $("#relation-states").html('<select id="state" name="state"> <option value="Texas">Texas</option> </select><button id="press" type="button" title="" aria-haspopup="true" style="width: 175px;"><span>Select an item</span></button>');; alert("hello"); }); }); HTML: <div id="relation-states"> <select id="state" name="state"> <option value="New York">New York</option> </select> <button id="press" type="button" title="" aria-haspopup="true" style="width: 175px;"><span>Select an item</span></button> </div>

  • Increasing understanding of validating a string with PHP string functions

    - by user1554264
    I've just started attempts to validate data in PHP and I'm trying to understand this concept better. I was expecting the string passed as an argument to the $data parameter for the test_input() function to be formatted by the following PHP functions. trim() to remove white space from the end of the string stripslashes() to return a string with backslashes stripped off htmlspecialchars() to convert special characters to HTML entities The issue is that the string that I am echoing at the end of the function is not being formatted in the way I desire at all. In fact it looks exactly the same when I run this code on my server - no white space removed, the backslash is not stripped and no special characters converted to HTML entities. My question is have I gone about this in the wrong approach? Should I be creating the variable called $santised_input on 3 separate lines with each of the functions trim(), stripslashes() and htmlspecialchars()? By my understanding surely I am overwriting the value of the $santised_input variable each time I recreate it on a new line of code. Therefore the trim() and stripslashes() string functions will never be executed. What I am trying to achieve is using the "$santised_input" variable to run all of these PHP string functions when the $data argument is passed to my test_input() function. In other words can these string functions be chained together so that I only need to create $santised_input once? <?php function test_input($data) { $santised_input = trim($data); $santised_input = stripslashes($data); $santised_input = htmlspecialchars($data); echo $santised_input; } test_input("%22%3E%3Cscript%3Ealert('hacked')%3C/script%3E\ "); //Does not output desired result "&quot;&gt;&lt;script&gt;alert('hacked')&lt;/script&gt;" ?>

  • problem linking vba modules in MS Access 2007

    - by Ted
    I am upgrading a database system from Access 2000 db to Access 2007, which communicates with several chemistry measuring devices(pH meter, scale, etc) via an RS 232 serial port. The first db consists of several modules containing vba code that enables the communications with the ports, as well as supports the code behind the forms in the second db. The user, or lab tech, navigates through the forms in the second db to interact with the lab devices, and also to generate the reports which display the info. from the devices. The reports are also part of the second db. The code works in Access 2000, but once I convert it to 2007, the code in the second db cannot find the function calls in the first db that dictate the progression from screen to screen. I have tried importing the modules into the second db, and I have tried linking them, but it still doesn't work. The error message is #438: "Object doesn't support this property or method." Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here is the code for the first function that is not being called correctly: Description: ' This routine is used to return to the calling form and close the active form. ' ' Input: ' strFormCalled --- the active form ' strCallingForm --- the form that called the active form ' blnUnhideOrOpen --- whether to open or just unhide form Public Sub basReturnToCallingForm(ByVal strFormCalled As String, ByVal _ strCallingForm As Variant, Optional blnUnhideOrOpen As Boolean = True) On Error GoTo err_basReturnToCaliingForm If Not basIsBlankString(strCallingForm) And blnUnhideOrOpen Then DoCmd.OpenForm strCallingForm, acNormal Else Call basUnHideForm(strCallingForm) End If Call basCloseForm(strFormCalled) exit_basReturnToCaliingForm: Exit Sub err_basReturnToCaliingForm: Err.Raise Err.Number, "basReturnToCaliingForm", Err.Description End Sub I will post the second function shortly, but I have to go to a meeting... The second funtion that isn't 'working' is a cmdStartClick that is supposed to be called when a user initializes a pump. However, within that function, it's also sticking on a line that is supposed to progress to the next form in the db. The other thing is that the code works in Access 2002, but not in Access 2007...

  • Javascript Instance Variable Syntax (AJAX page refresh)

    - by Rosarch
    I'm having difficulty with Javascript instance variables. I'm trying to make an easy way to refresh the chat page, looking for new messages. The AJAX call supplies a mid, or the lowest message id to be returned. This allows the call to only ask for the most recent messages, instead of all of them. MessageRefresher.prototype._latest_mid; function MessageRefresher(latest_mid) { this._latest_mid = latest_mid; // it thinks `this` refers to the MessageRefresher object } MessageRefresher.prototype.refresh = function () { refreshMessages(this._latest_mid); // it thinks `this` refers to the window this._latest_mid++; } function refreshMessages(latest_mid) { $.getJSON('API/read_messages', { room_id: $.getUrlVar('key'), mid: latest_mid }, function (messages) { for (var i = 0; i < messages[0].length; i++) { var newChild = sprintf("<li>%s: %s</li>", messages[1][i], messages[0][i]); $("#messages").append(newChild); } }); var messageRefresher = new MessageRefresher(0); setInterval(messageRefresher.refresh, 1000); This results in all the messages being printed out, over and over again. I know it has other bugs, but the main issue I'm trying to work out right now is the use of the instance variable. Or is there another way I should be going about doing this?

  • Global mouseMove

    - by Jacob Kofoed
    I have made the following javascript to be used in my jQuery based website. What it does, is to move a slider up/down, and scale the item above higher/smaller. Everything works fine, but since the slider is only a few pixels in height, and the move event is a bit slow (it does not trigger for every pixel) so when I move the mouse fast, the slider can't hold on and the mouse get's out of the slider item. The mouseMove event won't be triggered no more since it is bound to the slider. I guess everything could be fixed by setting the mouseMove global to the whole site, but it won't work, or at least I don't know how to make that work. Should it be bound to document, or body? here is my current code for the slider: $.fn.resize = function (itemToResize) { MinSize = 100; MaxSize = 800; pageYstart = 0; sliderMoveing = false; nuskriverHeight = 0; this.mousedown(function(e) { pageYstart=e.pageY; sliderMoveing = true nuskriverHeight = parseFloat((itemToResize).css('height')); }); this.mouseup(function() { sliderMoveing = false }); this.mousemove(function(e) { if (sliderMoveing) { (itemToResize).css('height', (nuskriverHeight + (e.pageY - pageYstart))); if (parseFloat( (itemToResize).css('height')) > MaxSize) { (itemToResize).css('height', MaxSize) }; if (parseFloat( (itemToResize).css('height')) < MinSize) { (itemToResize).css('height', MinSize) }; }; }); }; Thanks for any help, is much appreciated

  • C++ RPC library suggestions

    - by Oxsnarder
    I'm looking for suggestions regarding RPC libraries implemented in C++, for C++ developers. Some requirements constraints: Should work on both linux/unix and win32 systems Be able to execute free function and class methods Hopefully written in modern C++ not 90's/java-esque C++ Be able to function over networks and hetrogenous architectures Not too slow or inefficient Hopefully provide interfaces for TR1 style std::function's et al. My example usage is to invoke the free function foo on a remote machine. ---snip--- // foo translation unit int foo(int i, int j) { return i + j; } ---snip--- ---snip--- // client side main int main() { //register foo on client and server //setup necassary connections and states int result; if (RPCmechanism.invoke("foo",4,9,result)) std::cout << "foo(4,9) = " result << std::endl; else std::cout << "failed to invoke foo(4,9)!" << std::endl; return 0; } ---snip--- Something that can achieve the above or similar would be great.

  • Chrome Extension - Console Log not firing

    - by coffeemonitor
    I'm starting to learn to make my own Chrome Extensions, and starting small. At the moment, I'm switching from using the alert() function to console.log() for a cleaner development environment. For some reason, console.log() is not displaying in my chrome console logs. However, the alert() function is working just fine. Can someone review my code below and perhaps tell me why console.log() isn't firing as expected? manifest.json { "manifest_version": 2, "name": "Sandbox", "version": "0.2", "description": "My Chrome Extension Playground", "icons": { "16": "imgs/16x16.png", "24": "imgs/24x24.png", "32": "imgs/32x32.png", "48": "imgs/48x48.png" }, "background": { "scripts": ["js/background.js"] }, "browser_action": { "default_title": "My Fun Sandbox Environment", "default_icon": "imgs/16x16.png" }, "permissions": [ "background", "storage", "tabs", "http://*/*", "https://*/*" ] } js/background.js function click(e) { alert("this alert certainly shows"); console.log("But this does not"); } // Fire a function, when icon is clicked chrome.browserAction.onClicked.addListener(click); As you can see, I kept it very simple. Just the manifest.json and a background.js file with an event listener, if the icon in the toolbar is clicked. As I mentioned, the alert() is popping up nicely, while the console.log() appears to be ignored.

I have validated JSON that im getting returned from server, so i know that is correct, however my javascript function is not doing anything with it. My succes function is as follows: success: function(data) { $('input[name=customer_name]').val(data.name); $('textarea[name=customer_address]').text(data.address); $('input[name=customer_email]').val(data.email); $('input[name=customer_tel]').val(data.tel); $('input[name=user_id]').val(item.id); } Yet the fields are not being repopulated with the data that is returned, if it helps, a sample of my JSON data: { "name": "Terry O'Toole", "address": "Terrys House\nTerry Street\nTerrysville\nTerrytown\nTT1 6TT", "email": "[email protected]", "tel": "05110000000" } Any help would be appreciated. [EDIT] Expanded ajax call: $.ajax({ url: "<?php echo site_url('user/users/ajax'); ?>", type: 'POST', data: {"userid": item.id}, success: function(data) { $('input[name=customer_name]').val(data.name); $('textarea[name=customer_address]').text(data.address); $('input[name=customer_email]').val(data.email); $('input[name=customer_tel]').val(data.tel); $('input[name=user_id]').val(item.id); } }) });

  • Jquery Ajax Search on pressing return key in Internet Explorer

    - by haribo83
    Hi I have found the following code to create a search on my site - this works really well the only problem is in Internet Explorer the search doesn't work when you press the return key. Does anybody have any ideas? The search code is below - if anything else is needed please let me know. $(function() { $(".search_button").click(function() { var search_word = $("#search_box").val(); var dataString = 'search_word='+ search_word; if(search_word=='') { } else { $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "searchdata.php", data: dataString, cache: false, beforeSend: function(html) { document.getElementById("insert_search").innerHTML = ''; $("#flash").show(); $("#searchword").show(); $(".searchword").html(search_word); $("#flash").html('<img src="ajax-loader.gif" /> Loading Results...'); }, success: function(html){ $("#insert_search").show(); $("#insert_search").append(html); $("#flash").hide(); } }); } return false; }); });

  • Preloading Image Bug in IE6-8

    - by Kevin C.
    Page in question: http://phwsinc.com/our-work/one-rincon-hill.asp In IE6-8, when you click the left-most thumbnail in the gallery, the image never loads. If you click the thumbnail a second time, then it will load. I'm using jQuery, and here's my code that's powering the gallery: $(document).ready(function() { // PROJECT PHOTO GALLERY var thumbs = $('.thumbs li a'); var photoWrapper = $('div.photoWrapper'); if (thumbs.length) { thumbs.click( function(){ photoWrapper.addClass('loading'); var img_src = $(this).attr('href'); // The two lines below are what cause the bug in IE. They make the gallery run much faster in other browsers, though. var new_img = new Image(); new_img.src = img_src; var photo = $('#photo'); photo.fadeOut('slow', function() { photo.attr('src', img_src); photo.load(function() { photoWrapper.removeClass('loading'); photo.fadeIn('slow'); }); }); return false; }); } }); A coworker told me that he's always had problems with the js Image() object, and advised me to just append an <img /> element inside of a div set to display:none;, but that's a little messy for my tastes--I liked using the Image() object, it kept things nice and clean, no unnecessary added HTML markup. Any help would be appreciated. It still works without the image preloading, so if all else fails I'll just wrap the preloading in an if !($.browser.msie){ } and call it a day.

  • Adding property:value pairs from GooglemapsAPI to an existing json/javascript object

    - by Rockinelle
    I am trying to create a script that finds the closest store/location to a customer using googlemapsAPI. So I've got a json object which is a collection of store objects. Using Jquery's .each to iterate through that object, I am grabbing the driving time from the customer to each store. If it finds the directions, It copies the duration of the drive which is an object with the time in seconds and a human readable value. That appears to work, however when I try to sort through all of those store objects with the drivetime added, I cannot read the object copied from google. If I console.log the whole object, 'closest_store', It shows the values I'm looking for. When I try to read the values directly via closest_store.driveTime, Firebug is outputting undefined in the console. What am I missing here? $.getJSON('<?php echo Url::base() ?>oldservices/get_locations', {}, function(data){ $.each(data, function(index, value) { var end = data[index].address; var request = { origin: start, destination: end, travelMode: google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING }; directionsService.route(request, function(response, status) { //console.log(response); if (status == google.maps.DirectionsStatus.OK) { value.driveTime = response.trips[0].routes[0].duration.value; //console.log(response.trips[0].routes[0].duration.value); }; }); }); var closest_store; $.each(data, function(index, current_store) { if (index == 0) { closest_store = current_store; } else if (current_store.driveTime.value < closest_store.driveTime.value) { closest_store = value }; console.log(current_store.driveTime); } ) });
