• Question about a http form GET method, using query arguments

  I am looking at a bug in WebSVN where when I get into a file log and click on compare, it looses the repository name as part of the request. The details are unimportant. However, I've tracked down the bug to a http form that looks like this: <form method="get" action="comp.php?repname=Binaries&amp;" id="compare"> .... <input type="hidden" name="KEY" value="VALUE"> Is this supposed to work? Will both the "repname" argument, specified as part of the URL, and the hidden value be sent? It seems Chrome 4.1 only sends the hidden argument, and removes the repname parameter altogether. Is this correct? I fixed it temporarily, pending more information, by adding another hidden field for repname with the same value, and now everything works, I'm just wondering if Chrome or WebSVN is in fault here.

• Move entire line up and down in Vim

  In Notepad++, I can use ctrl + shift + up/down to move the current line up and down. Is there a similar command to this in Vim? I have looked through endless guides, but have found nothing. If there isn't, how could I bind the action to that key combination? Edit: Mykola's answer works for all lines, apart from those at the beginning and end of the buffer. Moving the first line up or the bottom line down deletes the line, and when moving the bottom line up it jumps two spaces initially, like a pawn! Can anyone offer any refinements?

  Hi I have a multi value cck field in my cck content type. I want to simulate click on "add another item" using jquery. which is like $('#edit-field-supp-quan-field-supp-quan-add-more').trigger('click'); but it causes whole content form to submit instead of adding extra multi value cck field. Manuall clicks are working perfectly. • WPF calls not working during long method processing

  Hi, The following method does not apply the wpf changes (background = red) until the 2nd method (DoWork) exits: private void change() { Background = Brushes.Red; Dispatcher.BeginInvoke((Action) DoWork); } DoWork() takes several seconds to run and I don't really want to put it into a thread, as this code will be used in several places and will probably interact will the Dispatcher thread at various intervals. I've tried calling the Invalidate...() methods, but to no avail. The BeginInvoke() was added to see if the delay would allow the background change to be applied before the logic was called. Typically, the logic would be part of this method. Btw, most of the logic is performed on a different thread and shouldn't block the Dispatcher thread?! Can someone please help? Thanks

• Avoid htaccess redirecting to one folder Yii

  I have a website running over Yii Framework, I created a folder in the root path named blog, I installed a wordpress blog under this folder, but the files .htaccess that comes with yii is trying to redirect my request to www.domain.com/blog to the controller/action type which I don't want, I want to treat the blog folder as a completely app with no relation to yii. here is what I've done so far Options +FollowSymLinks IndexIgnore */* RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} "/blog/" RewriteRule (.*) $1 [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . index.php as you can see I added the conditions to avoid redirecting for the blog folder but when I try to access the the url is telling me The page isn't redirecting properly.   Well it's not really a problem but I check if the user exist and log them in and redirect to site/members_area, but I don't want to send the user to a specific page but i want to reload the current controller. • How do I distinguish a SharePoint file update as being from a file upload?

  In SharePoint, when an item is first added to a document library, it fires the ItemAdded and ItemAdding events as expected. And if you upload the same filename to update the existing file, it will fire off ItemUpdated and ItemUpdating events, likewise as expected. However, I have been unsuccessful at determining whether this kind of action has actually occurred or not. Or, more specifically, I am entirely unable to differentiate between the following: An item is updated because someone uploaded a new file but did nothing to any of the form fields. An item is updated because someone hit "OK" but did nothing to any of the form fields. Is there actually a way to distinguish these kinds of updates? There appears to be nothing in event properties that contains this information, nor in the version history for both the list item and the file itself. I have even tried comparing the files themselves via OpenBinary(), but in both mentioned cases I still get the same result. Thank you in advance for any help!

• Artificial Intelligence in online game using Google App Engine

  I am currently in the planning stages of a game for google app engine, but cannot wrap my head around how I am going to handle AI. I intend to have persistant NPCs that will move about the map, but short of writing a program that generates the same XML requests I use to control player actions, than run it on another server I am stuck on how to do it. I have looked at the Task Queue feature, but due to long running processes not being an option on the App engine, I am a little stuck. I intend to run multiple server instances with 200+ persistant NPC entities that I will need to update. Most action is slowly roaming around based on player movements/concentrations, and attacking close range players...(you can probably guess the type of game im developing)

  Mathematica has a built-in function ArgMax for functions over infinite domains, based on the standard mathematical definition. The analog for finite domains is a handy utility function. • P2 Touchpoint chmod not working?

  I'm using Eclipse 3.5.2 and I've created a p2.inf with the following information: instructions.install = \ chmod(targetDir:@artifact,targetFile:$os$/libfoo.so,permissions:755); instructions.install.import= \ org.eclipse.equinox.p2.touchpoint.natives.chmod I placed the p2.inf inside the META-INF folder of the fragment, but when I install the update site, libfoo.so does not have execute permissions. After pulling my hair out, I tried a p2.inf referencing a non-existing *.so, but nothing seems to happen. No error messages, exceptions, or warnings of any kind to indicate the P2 touchpoint action failed... What's the deal? Any ideas?

• Dynamically add a new row as Add in UITableView in edit mode?

  I have a table view with 0 or n rows of data from datastore. I added a customized Edit button on the right of the view's navigation bar. By default, when the edit button is clicked, in the action event, I set the view as edit mode: [self.tableView setEditing:YES animated:YES]; I would like to add a row at the end of the table view with Add button as an accessory on the left when the table view is in edit mode. And the "Add" row will not be displayed when the view is not in edit mode. This is very similar to the case of iPhon'e Contacts application when a contact is in edit mode. I am not sure if I need to add a row dynamically, and how if so? An alternative way I guess is to add more row when tableView:numberOfRowsInSection: is called? If later is the case, I have to make it hidden when the view is not in edit mode and visible when the view is in edit.

  My class diagram: BaseContentClass Page inherits BaseContentClass Tab inherits BaseContentClass ... If I do this ModelBinders.Binders.Add(typeof(BaseContentObject), new BaseContentObjectCommonPropertiesBinder()); then when in controller action parameter of type Tab appears, custom model binder is not fired. It gets fired if I do this: ModelBinders.Binders.Add(typeof(Tab), new BaseContentObjectCommonPropertiesBinder()); But I don't want to go writing "n" number of Add statements in my global.asax.cs to associate all the derived classes with my custom model binder, do I? I don't know if I have any other option.

  Hi, We have an AIR app and using a datagrid. We want to store the dataGrid.columns array in mySQL DB through PHP. This is needed because the user can customise the column headers of the datagrid and his preference needs to be stored and shown to him on his next login. Using HTTPService, we tried sending the dataGrid.columns array as a string, as follows, var ht:HTTPService = new HTTPService(); ht.url = Config.getServerURL(); ht.method = URLRequestMethod.POST; ht.resultFormat = "text"; ht.request["action"] = "updateGrid"; ht.request["headercolumns"] = colsArray.toString(); The data is stord as comma separated array string in DB. When we retrieve it back, cannot seem to cast it back to the DatagridColumns and assign it. Please let me know. Regards Jada.

  I have two files: index.php /lib/user.php Index contains the form: <div class="<? echo $msgclass; ?>"> <? echo $msg; ?> </div> <form id="signin" action="/lib/user.php" method="post"> ... </form> User.php makes all the processing. It sets $msg to 'some error message' and $msgalert to 'error' in case of any error. At the end of processing it uses header() to redirect to index.php But after redirection $msg and $msgalert get out of scope and index only gets empty vars. How can i fix this?

• Syntax to specify Namespace when using helper.RouteUrl

  I am using Asp.Net MVC 2 - RC w/ Areas. I am receiving an ambigious controller name exception due to having same controller name in two different areas. I've read Phil Haack's post I can't figure out the syntax when trying to use UrlHelper (I have an extensions class). e.g. public static string MyAreaHome(this UrlHelper helper) { return helper.RouteUrl("ARoute", new { controller = "Home", action = "Index" }); } I've tried the obvious of adding namespace="mynamespace" but that didn't work, it just added the namespace to the url. This seems like a very poor design because my PHP script checks a number of $_POST variables to make sure they were passed along to the script. When the $_POST['check_box_1'] value is not set, then how do I know whether the script failed to pass along the value or the checkbox was just not set?

Considering that resources are already defined in routes.rb I was expecting it to work easily, bute somehow when I click the save button it calls the create method, instead of update, using a POST http request. Inmediatly after that it autocatically log out form the session. Any ideas?
