  • free video streaming API

    - by rl123
Hi, I'm trying to build a website that will allow user to upload video files and show them as a streaming video. I'm a complete newbie in the streaming world so I don't know exactly how to do that, and I definitely don't want to reinvent the wheel. Are there any free platforms that I can use for that? Do I need a streaming server, or is there a special kind of player I can use that does not require dedicated server? Thanks!

  • Getting started with JUCE for Android

    - by steveha
I need to start building an Android app that uses the JUCE libraries. I'm reading the web site and trying to figure stuff out. I tried installing JUCE on an Ubuntu 11.04 system, and when I built the IntroJucer app, the menus don't work right (they flash open when I click with the mouse but then disappear). Can a JUCE app for Android be built on Mac OS X, or even Windows? If you are using JUCE to build Android apps, please give me any advice you can.

  • How to reduce compile time with C++ templates

    - by Shane MacLaughlin
I'm in the process of changing part of my C++ app from using an older C type array to a templated C++ container class. See this question for details. While the solution is working very well, each minor change I make to the templated code causes a very large amount of recompilation to take place, and hence drastically slows build time. Is there any way of getting template code out of the header and back into a cpp file, so that minor implementation changes don't cause major rebuilds?

  • Get with the ajax data into a php file

    - by Max Torstensson
    I'm trying to build a login system with ajax and php. I use a log-view where I then save the data in ajax which brings into my doLogin.php (php file). My problem is that php file should never be any ajax data for when I build it into a class and a function VIEW: public function DoLoginBox() { //inloggning form-tagg... return '<p>&nbsp;</p> <div id="content"> <h1>Login Form</h1> <form id="form1" name="form1" action="Handler/doLogin.php" method="post"> <p> <label for="username">Username: </label> <input type="text" name="username" id="username" /> </p> <p> <label for="password">Password: </label> <input type="password" name="password" id="password" /> </p> <p> <input type="submit" id="login" name="login" /> </p> </form> <div id="message"></div> </div>'; } AJAX: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#login").click(function() { var action = $("#form1").attr('action'); var form_data = { username: $("#username").val(), password: $("#password").val(), is_ajax: 1 }; $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: action, data: form_data, success: function(response) { if(response == 'success') $("#form1").slideUp('slow', function() { $("#message").html("<p class='success'>You have logged in successfully!</p>"); }); else $("#message").html("<p class='error'>Invalid username and/or password.</p>"); } }); return false; }); }); </script PHP: <?php require_once ("UserHandler.php"); class DoLogingHandler{ public function Login (){ $is_ajax = !empty($_REQUEST['is_ajax']); if(isset($is_ajax) && $is_ajax) { $username = $_REQUEST['username']; $password = $_REQUEST['password']; $UserHandler = new UserHandler(); $UserHandler -> controllDB($username,$password); if($username == 'demo' && $password == 'demo') { echo "success"; } } } } ` $DoLogingHandler = new DoLogingHandler(); $DoLogingHandler-Login(); ?

  • In django, how can I include some default records in my models.py?

    - by kdt
If I have a models.py like class WidgetType(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=200) class Widget(models.Model): typeid = models.ForeignKey(WidgetType) data = models.CharField(max_length=200) How can I build in a set of built in constant values for WidgetType when I know I'm only going to have a certain few types of widget? Clearly I could fire up my admin interface and add them by hand, but I'd like to simplify configuration by having it built into the python.

  • Building a balanced binary search tree

    - by Znarkus
Hi! Is there a method to build a balanced binary search tree? Example: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 5 / \ 3 etc / \ 2 4 / 1 I'm thinking there is a method to do this, without using the more complex self-balancing trees. Otherwise I can do it on my own, but someone probably have done this already :)

  • PowerBuilder 11.5 .NET DLL pbl

    - by RepDetec
I have converted a PowerBuilder application to 11.5 .NET. When it builds, it compiles into a DLL, an EXE and a bunch of “netmodule” files. Are the netmodules necessary for deployment, or just part of some intermediate step? Is there any way to get the compiler to build me one DLL for each pbl (PowerBuilder library)?

  • MonoTouch on Device - Vibrates at launch?

    - by Driss Zouak
I just deployed my app to my iPhone for the first time. Every time it launches it vibrates before running, and it runs fine. The build is a Debug | iPhone one of my app. Any ideas why it vibrates when it launches and how to stop that? It's definitely not something I coded up and I don't have any exceptions or issues when running in the simulator.

  • how can I easily upload outlook contacts into my web application?

    - by Angela
Hi, I am trying to find a way for our users to very easily upload their outlook contacts into our web application (mysql database). I'm not sure where to begin. I've seen various tools which are pretty complex. I am open to existing third-party solutions, but my hope is that there is something which is very simple to use or build. Thanks. PS: Ideally, it would not involve using visual basic.
