• problem with facebook api - Keeps redirecting

  I created an application with a name and connect URL on facebook. I put below code in test.php here (test.php): include_once 'facebook.php'; $fb = new Facebook('api_key', 'secret'); $user = $fb->require_login(); echo $fb->api_client->user; echo $fb->api_client->session_key; when I go to that page, it takes me to facebook login, after I login it redirects me to same test.php with an auth_token. But it doesn't stop there. For some reason, the script is taking me to facebook again and since I already logged in facebook redirecting me to test.php with another auth_token just like below /test.php?auth_token=76a6eb21b872cdfe787ea85a240905dd&auth_token=597d7532bf53c8ce37cc003bcf7d2905 It never stops there, test.php taking me to facebook again and again :( Please tell me what wrong?? • CAPTCHA blocking for my scraping script?

  I am working on a scraping project which involves getting web data and parsing them for further use. I have been working using PHP and CURL to make scraping scripts which crawls web data and I make use of either PHP Dom or Simple HTML DOM Parser library for these kinds of projects. On a recent project I encountered some challenges; initially I found the target website blocked my server IP such that the server could not make any successful requests to the site. Understanding these issues as common I bought a set of private proxies and tried to make request calls using them. Though this could get successful response, I noticed the script is getting some kind of blocks after 2-3 continuous requests. On printing and checking the response I could see a pop-up asking for CAPTCHA validation. I could not see any captcha characters to be entered and it also shows an error “input error: invalid referrer”. On examining the source I could see some Google recaptcha scripts within. I’m stuck at this point and I m not able to execute my script. My script is used for gathering data and it needs to go through a large number of pages periodically over the site. But in the current scenario I am not able to proceed with my script. I could see there are some options to overcome these captcha issues and scraping these kinds of sites too are common. I have been checking my script performance and responses over last two months. I could see during first month I was able to execute very large number of requests from a single IP and I was able to get results. Later I get an IP block and used private proxies which could get me some results. Later I am facing now with the captcha trouble. I would appreciate any help or suggestions in this regard. (Often in this kind of questions I used to get a first comment as, ‘Have you asked for prior permission from the target?’ .I haven’t ,but I know there are many sites doing so to get the details out of sites and target sites may not often give access to them. I respect the legality and scraping etiquettes but I would like to know at what point I stuck and how could I overcome that! ) I could provide any supporting information if needed.

• Good, simple reasons for having a multiple environments

  Throughout my career I had worked at companies that had a collection of different environments for different purposes. We always had more or less our desktop environment, a test environment, a QA environment, a staging environment and a production environment. This went for both servers/applications and any data sources we were using. When I started at my current company I found that 90% of the apps were either developed on a desktop environment against production data sources or developed directly on the production server depending on the platform. I wasn't phased because I was hired in part to make changes to improve the way the development team functioned, which was clear from my interview process. We slowly started to turn the philosophy and pretty soon, most of the apps could be run in either a desktop, test or production environment. Not too long after that staging came around as well. Now most of our developers see the benefit of this methodology and defend it vigilantly. However, we have a number of legacy apps that never got migrated. We also have a number of legacy programmers who think of this as a waste of time. Unfortunately, we got lip service but never full buy-in from management. We got what we thought was a commitment to invest substantially in this about a year ago, but nothing materialized despite the considerable planning that we put into it. Now we are finding that we need more and more environments. We need help from the server/network administration teams for setup and we need participation from the business stakeholders to support the release cycle. We are at a place now where a project can function what I consider "normally" only if you have the right people on the project and the time to set up the proper environments. I'd love to present a complete argument, but management really has no time and interest in hearing me out until there is a critical issue. I cant really articulate the benefits simply as it always just seemed second nature to me. I was wondering if there are any good, simple, irrefutable reasons for the separation of environments that would get managers with no development experience to get behind this idea. Are there any good resources/literature on the topic?

  EDIT: I'm going to put my code in here due to comments below. So sit tight for a few minutes ;-) Thanks! I'm an inexperienced php programmer and only found out about PDO a few days ago. I'm now trying to port my website code over to using PDO, but I am getting an error when I try to use the PDO object that I create. I'm using a CMS on my website, and it makes building page output kind of complicated, but I've tried to draw the structure of what is being called below: index.php -class myClass defined --method myFunction defined (it gets called on pageload & returns the page output) ---include file1.php ----require_once('mysql_connect.php') (creates pdo object) ----*I can use the pdo object here successfully* ----require_once('file2.php') -----require_once('mysql_connect.php') -----function myFunction2 defined ------*trying to use the pdo object here results in the error* The error I'm getting is: Fatal error: Call to a member function prepare() on a non-object in /home/rgcpanel/public_html/account/account_functions.php on line 147 Any idea what's going on?

The purpose of the series is to discuss real world identity use cases that helped shape the innovations in the recent R2 release and the implementation strategies that customers are employing today with expertise from PwC. Part 1: Looking at R2 for Customer Organizations In this inaugural post, we will discuss some of the new features of the R2 release of Oracle Identity Manager that some of our customer organizations are implementing today and the business rationale for those. Oracle's R2 Security portfolio represents a solid step forward for a platform that is already market-leading.  Prior to R2, Oracle was an industry titan in security with reliable products, expansive compatibility, and a large customer base.  Oracle has taken their identity platform to the next level in their latest version, R2.  The new features include a customizable UI, a request catalog, flexible security, and enhancements for its connectors, and more. Oracle customers will be impressed by the new Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) business-friendly UI.  Without question, Oracle has invested significant time in responding to customer feedback about making access requests and related activities easier for non-IT users.  The flexibility to add information to screens, hide fields that are not important to a particular customer, and adjust web themes to suit a company's preference make Oracle's Identity Manager stand out among its peers.  Customers can also expect to carry UI configurations forward with minimal migration effort to future versions of OIM.  Oracle's flexible UI will benefit many organizations looking for a customized feel with out-of-the-box configurations. Organizations looking to extend their services to end users will benefit significantly from new usability features like OIM’s ‘Catalog.’  Customers familiar with Oracle Identity Analytics' 'Glossary' feature will be able to relate to the concept.  It will enable Roles, Entitlements, Accounts, and Resources to be requested through the out-of-the-box UI.  This is an industry-changing feature as customers can make the process to request access easier than ever.  For additional ease of use, Oracle has introduced a shopping cart style request interface that further simplifies the experience for end users.  Common requests can be setup as profiles to save time.  All of this is combined with the approval workflow engine introduced in R1 that provides the flexibility customers need to meet their compliance requirements. Enhanced security was also on the list of features Oracle wanted to deliver to its customers.  The new end-user UI provides additional granular access controls.  Common Help Desk use cases can be implemented with ease by updating the application profiles.  Access can be rolled out so that administrators can only manage a certain department or organization.  Further, OIM can be more easily configured to select which fields can be read-only vs. updated.  Finally, this security model can be used to limit search results for roles and entitlements intended for a particular department.  Every customer has a different need for access and OIM now matches this need with a flexible security model. One of the important considerations when selecting an Identity Management platform is compatibility.  The number of supported platform connectors and how well it can integrate with non-supported platforms is a key consideration for selecting an identity suite.  Oracle has a long list of supported connectors.  When a customer has a requirement for a platform not on that list, Oracle has a solution too.  Oracle is introducing a simplified architecture called Identity Connector Framework (ICF), which holds the potential to simplify custom connectors.  Finally, Oracle has introduced a simplified process to profile new disconnected applications from the web browser.  This is a useful feature that enables administrators to profile applications quickly as well as empowering the application owner to fulfill requests from their web browser.  Support will still be available for connectors based on previous versions in R2. Oracle Identity Manager's new R2 version has delivered many new features customers have been asking for.  Oracle has matured their platform with R2, making it a truly distinctive platform among its peers. In our next post, expect a deep dive into use cases for a customer considering R2 as their new Enterprise identity solution. • Besxt Text-to-Speech Solution for my Website

  I'm working on the 'Ease of Access' section of my website with the options to increase the font-size displayed on pages to a minimum, invert colours and whatnot. I wish to implement a plugin which, if enabled by the user, to read content on my website. Presumably my best option is a website plugin, however there might be some programming I've not come across which allows the likes of PHP to read content. I'm not entirely sure how this all works. • Simple collision detection in Unity 2D

  I realise other posts exist with this topic yet none have gone into enough detail for me. I am attempting to create a 2D game in Unity using C# as my scripting language. Basically I have two objects, player and bomb. Both were created simply by dragging the respective PNG to the stage. I have set up touch controls to move player left and right; gravity of any kind is not needed as I only require it to move x units when I tap either the left or right side of the screen. This movement is stored in a script called playerController.cs and works just fine. I also have a variable health = 3 for player, which is stored in healthScript.cs. I am now at a point where I am stuck. I would like it so that when player collides with bomb, health decreases by one and the bomb object is destroyed. So what I tried doing is using a new script called playerPhysics.cs, I added the following: void OnCollisionEnter2D(Collision2D coll){ if(coll.gameObject.name=="bomb") GameObject.Destroy("bomb"); healthScript.health -= 1; } While I'm fairly sure I don't know the proper way to reference a variable in another script and that's why the health didn't decrease when I collided, bomb never disappeared from the stage so I'm thinking there's also a problem with my collision. Initially, I had simply attached playerPhysics.cs to player. After searching around though, it appeared as though player also needed a rigidBody attached to it, so I did that. Still no luck. I tried using a circleCollider (player is a circle), using a rigidBody2D, and using all manner of colliders on one and/or both of the objects. If you could please explain what colliders (if any) should be attached to which objects and whether I need to change my script(s), that would be much more helpful than pointing me to one of the generic documentation examples I've already read. Also, if it would be simple to fix the health thing not working that would be an added bonus but not exactly the focus of this question. Bear in mind that this game is 2D; I'm not sure if that changes anything. Thanks!

But when we are in another page like domain.tld/my-page, how do we generate the URLs to match the current page but with another subdomain/language using PHP

  Hi, I'm currently develop a facebook mafia like PHP game(of course, a light weight version), here is a simplify database(MySQL) of the game id-a <int3> <for index> uid <chr15> <facebook uid> HP <int3> <health point> exp <int3> <experience> money <int3> <money> list_inventory <chr5> <the inventory user hold...some special here, talk next> ... and 20 other fields just like reputation, num of combat... *the number next to the type is the size(byte) of the type For the list_inventory, there have 40 inventorys in my game, (actually, I have 5 these kind of list in my database), and each user can only contain 1 qty of each inventory, therefore, I assign 5 char for this field and each bit of char as 1 item(5 char * 8 bit = 40 slot), and I will do some manipulation by PHP to extract the data from this 5 byte. OK, I was thinking on this, if this game contains 100,000 user, and only 10% are active, therefore, if use my method, for the space use, 5 byte * 100,000 = 500 KB if I use another method, create a table user_hold_inventory, if the user have the inventory, then insert a record into this table, so, for 10,000 active user, I assume they got all item, but for other, I assume they got no item, here is the fields of the new table id-b <int3> <for index> id-a <int3> <id of the user table> inv_no <int1> <inventory that user hold> for the space use, ([id] (3+3) byte + [inv_no] 1 byte ) * [active user] 10,000 * [all inventory] * 40 = 2.8 MB seems method 2 have use more space, but it consume less CPU power. Please comment these 2 method or please correct me if there have another better method rather than what I think. Another question is, my database contain 26 fields, but I counted 5 of them are not change frquently, should I need to separate it on the other table or not? So many words, thanks for reading :)

• Is there a simple way to "roll your own forms" for mysql in php, for example in jquery?

  I've been googling around for a really simple way of making what is, in effect, nothing more than an enhanced phpMySql. In a mysql database, I have: Name, address, phone, website etc, plus 2 or 3 custom fields. This data is pulled out to make a website. All I want is to be able to make a freeform form, a bit like Access, but for the web, and the only thing I want to do over and above normal field editing would be to have a list of when I contact them, what was said, and perhaps a reminder when the next action is due. I've looked at so many CRMs my mind is boggling, and they all do WAY more than I need. I don't have leads or accounts, all I have is the need to make sure than when I update the person's details, and for that data to be in the same DB as my site is generate from. I'm happy to learn if I can get pointed in the right direction, and I have a feeling that something like what I want might lie in the direction of jquery. It's just that there's so much good jquery stuff about, I can't see the wood for the trees! Thanks.

• Can we compare programming languages ergonomically?

  For instance, would Python be a more ergonomic programming language since it doesn't force you to make curly braces which requires the AltGr key. Also Python usually requires less code to achieve the same or am I being biased towards Python and PHP actually is an ergonomical and comfortable language despite forcing the programmer to use the AltGr key? Isn't forcing the programmer to use the AltGr key not very ergonomical?

  in my cms i have index.php, where client must enter username and password. if they are correct, he'll moove to admin.php, where the cms is. but now hacker can enter to cms/admin.php, so my security now is awful. i know, that i can use $_SESSION variable. index.php - i can give some value to $_SESSION['success']: $_SESSION['success'] = TRUE, and in admin.php just verify it admin.php if($_SESSION['success'] == TRUE) { my script here... } else header("Location: index.php"); but i want to rich this effect without SESSION. could you give me an idea, how can i do it? thanks
