  • What is the best way to observe the scroll over an element with overflow set?

    It's simple to observe the documents scroll event but I can't seem to find anything relating to the scroll of any other element with css property overflow being set? To get around this myself i've been observing mousemove which only fires while you hold down on the scrollbar but this would need to be teamed with a mouse wheel observe also to get the full effect. Could anyone point me in the right direction for a better way of implementing this?

    I have a square <div> (70px x 70px) which will contain an image of a variable dimensions(Square, landscape or potrait). I want this image to be symmetrically centered inside the <div>. how do I get it..? <div class="img-polaroid" style="width: 70px; height: 70px; background-color: black; text-align:center;"> <image src='.base_url("images/store/images/".$image->image).' /> </div> The actual size of the image can be greater than 70px x 70px. But it should fit symmetrically in the center. I also have to make it cross-browser compatible.. Help Appreciated...

  • What statistics app should I use for my website?

    I have my own server (with root access). I need statistics of users who visit my website etc etc... I have looked at an app called Webalyzer... Is this a good choice? I run apache2 on a Ubuntu 9 system... If you know of any good statistics apps for servers please let me know. And a follow-up question: All statistics are saved in log-files right? So how large would these log-files become then? Possibility to split them would be good, dont know if this is possible with Webalyzer though...

Now, I only plan on running solr, and using it as it is (I have no java programming skills at all), so my Q is, do I need the entire JDK which includes JRE, or is JRE enough?   • load page with inactive scrollbar

    I have a page that scrolls through images, some taller than the others. When a tall image loads it auto-creates a scrollbar in the browser window, causing a width jerk. Is there a way to load a scroll bar regardless of if it is needed, and when a tall image apears it activates itself accordingly, then deactivates its self accordingly when the image changes to a shorter image? Thank you!

  • How do I access the array submit() calls in the dom?

    I want to grab all the inputs inside a form, in order to submit them. The point of this is to use jquery's ajax to submit a dynamically sized form. Surely there must be an array inside the dom somewhere which i can just do something like... docment.forms['form'].elements which only lists inputs for that form, meaning I can loop through them and grab their values to play around with?

For example, if I know the exact page I want info from, for the sake of simplicity a Best Buy item page, how would I get the appropriate info I need off of that page?   • images changing the position of other elements on being zoomed

    I am making a page in which there will be array of images. I need the images to be zoomed when the mouse is hovered and i got it successfully through java script. But the problem is when the image gets enlarged the position of the other images is also getting changed.
