    I am new to Jquery but my task is to create a Slider in Jquery, which will have a range as Current Date to (Last 3 Months Date). Slider --------------------------------------------------------------------- (Below is Just a Reference, the Slider should have a callout box or an area to show the Current Date which is selected) 1-----------------31 | 1---------28 | 1---------30 | 1------Curr Date Jan Feb Mar Apr Also the Data should change according to the range selected. If anyone who has come across any such problem/solution please let me know, I would be more than grateful to him/her. Thanks!

  • How do I select a class element based on its id in jQuery?

    I have multiple dynamically generated buttons with a class name of ".button". Each of these are given an unknown ID value used to uniquely identify them. In jQuery I must select one and alert the values. <div class="button" id="3"></div> The ID value is dynamically generated, therefore I do not know it. I'm new to jQuery but am basically looking for something like this: $(".button").attr("id").val(); How do I target one button when there are many? Thanks!

  • jquery help assigning multiple mouse events using a .each() to hide/show icons and show background c

    Need some help assigning a mouseover event to display some icons that start out hidden. For every <li> in the ul, I have icons. When the user mouses over the <li> I want the span tag with a class called "icons" to be displayed. When the mouse out event occurs remove the class and/or just hide the span. The problem for me is how to assign event so just the span tag and its contents appear and disapear when the mouse hovers over the <li>. Heres the HTML: <ul id="nav"> <li>Cat 1 <span class="icons"> <div>stuff here</div> </span> </li> <li>Cat 2 <span class="icons"> <div>stuff here</div> </span> <ul> <li>Sub Cat 2A <span class="icons"> <div>2A stuff here</div> </span> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> Heres my jquery code. $('#nav li').each(function(){ //Add Background Shading o Mouseover to all Rows in the menu $(this).mouseover(function(){ $(this).addClass("background_grey").removeClass("icons"); }) $(this).mouseout(function(){ $(this).removeClass("background_grey").addClass("icons"); }); }); Thanks for the help.

    I am a beginner in jQuery and I was wondering how to validate the form before submission specifically for check boxes. I am creating a simple check list form where my user would tick a check box if he finished that step. What I am planning to do is that, the script would prevent the form submission if there is an "unticked" checkbox and highlight it with a color.   • Can I use Jquery to automatically find and set the width and height of a variety of images?

    I am using the Masonry Plugin and for it to work correctly with images, you need to set the width and height within the image tag. All the image's heights will vary, but the width will be set at 200px. Is there a way for Jquery to detect the height of each image and set it's height? That way I don't have to go set the height of every single image. Does this make sense? Hope someone can help! I am new to Jquery.

    I'm using Snow Leopard, on a macbook pro... Is there any way to "tap to click" (on the trackpad) instead of pressing down on the trackpad when interacting with the login screen? It's not really that big of a deal, but I'm curious. Thanks.

  • middle click works only once

    Just recently I'm having problems with middle click. After a reboot, it works the first time I use it, but then it doesn't work after that. As far as I've investigated, that's the same on Linux and Windows. The mouse is Reaper ZMS-1000. To me it sounds like a hardware issue, but it's strange that it works after a reboot every time just for one time. Any suggestions?

    I don't want to install PowerToys, I'd rather a simpler solution for this specific problem. I've tried Ctrl+Shift+Right-Click. I've tried adding a registry script, but I get the following error: Cannot import D:\Admin\Reg\Open command window here (Administrator)\Open command window here (Administrator).reg: The specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor. Any suggestions?

    I noticed that on Windows 8's Start screen, I could right click a Windows legacy program (A program which runs on Windows XP, Vista and 7), and I could run it as Administrator. However, whenever I clicked on a Windows 8 Modern UI or a Metro app, I didn't have that option. So here are my questions:- Why can't I run the Modern UI apps as an Administrator? Does it make any difference as far as security is concerned?

    Is this possible? I want to close programs in the taskbar with middle-click, like tabs in firefox. The best approach I have so far is waiting for the mini-view that pops up when you point with the mouse in the taskbar and then middle-clicking there, but I would like to close them directly.
