  • Created a new zone in DNS manager - can't get site bindings to work in iis 7

    - by nick gowdy
    Firstly I would like to say that I am a noob when it comes to DNS, I am a web developer and I am trying to setup an intranet site for a charity. I have windows server 2008 and I installed both iis 7 and dns manager. In IIS I have this binding that works - Type: http:// IP Address: 192.168.1.9 Port: 80 Host name: My host name is empty and when I try to navigate to this website on the network, the http code is 200 and the page renders. Now if I try Host name of test.organization.intranet Internet explorer says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and the server response is aborted. In DNS manager I created a new forward lookup zone of organization.intranet I did this through the configure a dns server wizard and I created a host (A) with the same IP as the one being used in IIS. The full Host name is test.organization.intranet but it doesn't work. Maybe I am missing something obvious because it's not an area of IT that I know very well, but I am stuck for why I can't get it to work.

  • Ninject WithConstructorArgument : No matching bindings are available, and the type is not self-bindable

    - by Jean-François Beauchamp
    My understanding of WithConstructorArgument is probably erroneous, because the following is not working: I have a service, lets call it MyService, whose constructor is taking multiple objects, and a string parameter called testEmail. For this string parameter, I added the following Ninject binding: string testEmail = "[email protected]"; kernel.Bind<IMyService>().To<MyService>().WithConstructorArgument("testEmail", testEmail); However, when executing the following line of code, I get an exception: var myService = kernel.Get<MyService>(); Here is the exception I get: Error activating string No matching bindings are available, and the type is not self-bindable. Activation path: 2) Injection of dependency string into parameter testEmail of constructor of type MyService 1) Request for MyService Suggestions: 1) Ensure that you have defined a binding for string. 2) If the binding was defined in a module, ensure that the module has been loaded into the kernel. 3) Ensure you have not accidentally created more than one kernel. 4) If you are using constructor arguments, ensure that the parameter name matches the constructors parameter name. 5) If you are using automatic module loading, ensure the search path and filters are correct. What am I doing wrong here? UPDATE: Here is the MyService constructor: [Ninject.Inject] public MyService(IMyRepository myRepository, IMyEventService myEventService, IUnitOfWork unitOfWork, ILoggingService log, IEmailService emailService, IConfigurationManager config, HttpContextBase httpContext, string testEmail) { this.myRepository = myRepository; this.myEventService = myEventService; this.unitOfWork = unitOfWork; this.log = log; this.emailService = emailService; this.config = config; this.httpContext = httpContext; this.testEmail = testEmail; } I have standard bindings for all the constructor parameter types. Only 'string' has no binding, and HttpContextBase has a binding that is a bit different: kernel.Bind<HttpContextBase>().ToMethod(context => new HttpContextWrapper(new HttpContext(new MyHttpRequest("", "", "", null, new StringWriter())))); and MyHttpRequest is defined as follows: public class MyHttpRequest : SimpleWorkerRequest { public string UserHostAddress; public string RawUrl; public MyHttpRequest(string appVirtualDir, string appPhysicalDir, string page, string query, TextWriter output) : base(appVirtualDir, appPhysicalDir, page, query, output) { this.UserHostAddress = "127.0.0.1"; this.RawUrl = null; } }

  • Best C# bindings for Qt?

    - by Stefan Monov
    I've written a game in C# with SDL.NET and OpenGL. I want to add a menu to it, for which I need Qt. What bindings do you recommend for Qt in C#? Qyoto? qt4dotnet? other? Requirements: fast should just work and be polished - i.e. no weird problems at every step integration with the buildsystem, uic, resources, etc, should work well

  • Custom Key Bindings in SWT

    - by Dimitar
    Hey all, Is it at all possible to add custom key bindings to buttons in SWT? I can't use & in the text of the button to set a mnenomic because my buttons have no text (only an image). Is there a good way to do this using key listeners or is there something like the input/action map in swing? Thanks in advance.

  • KnockoutJS 2.3.0 - Uncaught Error: You cannot apply bindings multiple times to the same element.

    - by Aligned
    Originally posted on: http://geekswithblogs.net/Aligned/archive/2013/07/25/knockoutjs-2.3.0---uncaught-error-you-cannot-apply-bindings-multiple.aspxI upgrade KnockoutJs through Nuget and started getting the error ‘Uncaught Error: You cannot apply bindings multiple times to the same element.’ when I used applyBindings after the main page load. I had some dynamically added DOM elements and re-applying bindings worked before. It always seemed like a workaround/hack, but now Knockout is telling me that I shouldn’t do it. The quick way to fix this is to use ko.cleanNode($(‘#id’) and this works. A different/possibly better way, as suggested by x0n might be to use templates and Knockout’s template binding (<script type=’text/html’>…</script>).   Thanks again to the StackOverflow community for quickly providing me with the solution. Check out my question for all the details.

  • Using bindings to control column order in a DataGrid

    - by DanM
    Problem I have a WPF Toolkit DataGrid, and I'd like to be able to switch among several preset column orders. This is an MVVM project, so the column orders are stored in a ViewModel. The problem is, I can't get bindings to work for the DisplayIndex property. No matter what I try, including the sweet method in this Josh Smith tutorial, I get: The DisplayIndex for the DataGridColumn with Header 'ID' is out of range. DisplayIndex must be greater than or equal to 0 and less than Columns.Count. Parameter name: displayIndex. Actual value was -1. Is there any workaround for this? I'm including my test code below. Please let me know if you see any problems with it. ViewModel code public class MainViewModel { public List<Plan> Plans { get; set; } public int IdDisplayIndex { get; set; } public int NameDisplayIndex { get; set; } public int DescriptionDisplayIndex { get; set; } public MainViewModel() { Initialize(); } private void Initialize() { IdDisplayIndex = 1; NameDisplayIndex = 2; DescriptionDisplayIndex = 0; Plans = new List<Plan> { new Plan { Id = 1, Name = "Primary", Description = "Likely to work." }, new Plan { Id = 2, Name = "Plan B", Description = "Backup plan." }, new Plan { Id = 3, Name = "Plan C", Description = "Last resort." } }; } } Plan Class public class Plan { public int Id { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } public string Description { get; set; } } Window code - this uses Josh Smith's DataContextSpy <Window x:Class="WpfApplication1.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:WpfApplication1" xmlns:mwc="http://schemas.microsoft.com/wpf/2008/toolkit" Title="Main Window" Height="300" Width="300"> <Grid> <mwc:DataGrid ItemsSource="{Binding Plans}" AutoGenerateColumns="False"> <mwc:DataGrid.Resources> <local:DataContextSpy x:Key="spy" /> </mwc:DataGrid.Resources> <mwc:DataGrid.Columns> <mwc:DataGridTextColumn Header="ID" Binding="{Binding Id}" DisplayIndex="{Binding Source={StaticResource spy}, Path=DataContext.IdDisplayIndex}" /> <mwc:DataGridTextColumn Header="Name" Binding="{Binding Name}" DisplayIndex="{Binding Source={StaticResource spy}, Path=DataContext.NameDisplayIndex}" /> <mwc:DataGridTextColumn Header="Description" Binding="{Binding Description}" DisplayIndex="{Binding Source={StaticResource spy}, Path=DataContext.DescriptionDisplayIndex}" /> </mwc:DataGrid.Columns> </mwc:DataGrid> </Grid> </Window> Note: If I just use plain numbers for DisplayIndex, everything works fine, so the problem is definitely with the bindings. Update 5/1/2010 I was just doing a little maintenance on my project, and I noticed that when I ran it, the problem I discuss in this post had returned. I knew that it worked last time I ran it, so I eventually narrowed the problem down to the fact that I had installed a newer version of the WPF Toolkit (Feb '10). When I reverted to the June '09 version, everything worked fine again. So, I'm now doing something I should have done in this first place: I'm including the WPFToolkit.dll that works in my solution folder and checking it into version control. It's unfortunate, though, that the newer toolkit has a breaking change.

  • Creating a Compilation Unit with type bindings

    - by hizki
    I am working with the AST API in java, and I am trying to create a Compilation Unit with type bindings. I wrote the following code: private static CompilationUnit parse(ICompilationUnit unit) { ASTParser parser = ASTParser.newParser(AST.JLS3); parser.setKind(ASTParser.K_COMPILATION_UNIT); parser.setSource(unit); parser.setResolveBindings(true); CompilationUnit compiUnit = (CompilationUnit) parser.createAST(null); return compiUnit; } Unfortunately, when I run this code in debug mode and inspect compiUnit I find that compiUnit.resolver.isRecoveringBindings is false. Can anyone think of a reason why it wouldn't be true, as I specified it to be? Thank you

  • How to aggregate bindings in Silverlight UserControl

    - by Peter Wone
    Imagine a UserControl containing some sort of ItemsControl. The UserControl as a whole has a DataContext, but you also need to expose the ItemsSource of the ItemsControl. I have tried all manner of arrangements, and eventually passed a DomainDataSource as a UserControl dependency property named DDS, and bound the ItemsControl like this: ItemsSource="{Binding DDS.Data, ElementName=userControl}" It works, but this is mucky, and with Silverlight mucky is nearly always a sign of incorrect approach. Your advice is sought. It looks like multi-bindings might be the answer to this.

  • vlc python bindings - how to receive keyboard input?

    - by itsadok
    I'm trying to use VLC's python bindings to create my own little video player. The demo implementation is quite simple and nice, but it requires all the keyboard commands to be typed into the console from which the script was run. Is there any way I can handle keyboard input also when the video player itself has focus? Specifically, I care about controlling the video while in fullscreen mode. Perhaps there's a way to keep the keyboard focus in the console (or maybe another window) while showing the video? I'm using Windows XP, if that has any relevance.

  • Contextual bindings with Ninject 2.0

    - by Przemaas
    In Ninject 1.0 I had following binding definitions: Bind<ITarget>().To<Target1>().Only(When.Context.Variable("variable").EqualTo(true)); Bind<ITarget>().To<Target2>(); Given such bindings I had calls: ITarget target = kernel.Get<ITarget>(With.Parameters.ContextVariable("variable", true)); ITarget target = kernel.Get<ITarget>(With.Parameters.ContextVariable("variable", false)); First call was resolved to instance of Target1, second call was resolved to instance of Target2. How to translate this into Ninject 2.0?

  • MonoTouch- 'curated' bindings?

    - by Glinkot
    I'm just converting a video player sample to MT and came to this part: self.view.layer.sublayerTransform = CATransform3DMakePerspective(1000); In Monotouch, I've started with: this.View.Layer.SublayerTransform(CATransform3D.... But no perspective option is available. There is a 'scale' and 'rotate' one - does this mean this functionality is unavailable in MT? Or that I need to start creating my own bindings even though this one has been processed by the binding creation tool Xamarin uses? If anyone could advise how I would apply that transform I'd appreciate it. Cheers

  • WCF 3.5 Service and multiple http bindings

    - by mortenvpdk
    Hi I can't get my WCF service to work with more than one http binding. In IIS 7 I have to bindings http:/service and http:/service.test both at port 80 In my web.config I have added the baseAddressPrefixFilters but I can't add more than one <serviceHostingEnvironment> <baseAddressPrefixFilters> <add prefix="http://service"/> <add prefix="http://service.test"/> </baseAddressPrefixFilters> </serviceHostingEnvironment> This gives almost the same error "This collection already contains an address with scheme http. There can be at most one address per scheme in this collection. " as if no filers were specified at all (This collection already contains an address with scheme http. There can be at most one address per scheme in this collection. Parameter name: item) If I add only one filter then the service works but only responds on the added filter address. I've also tried with specifing multiple endpoints like (and only one filter): <endpoint address="http://service.test" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="" contract="IService" /> <endpoint address="http://service" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="" contract="IService" /> Then still only the address also specified in the filter works and the other returns this error: Server Error in Application "ISPSERVICE" HTTP Error 400.0 - Bad Request Regards Morten

But the challenge that I am facing is in adding behaviorConfiguration. How should I modify the following code to enable the service for both the bindings? Please help… <service name="Lijo.Samples.WeatherService" behaviorConfiguration="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://localhost:8000/ServiceModelSamples/FreeServiceWorld"/> <add baseAddress="net.tcp://localhost:8052/ServiceModelSamples/FreeServiceWorld"/> <!-- added new baseaddress for TCP--> </baseAddresses> </host> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="Lijo.Samples.IWeather" /> <endpoint address="" binding="netTcpBinding" contract="Lijo.Samples.IWeather" /> <!-- added new end point--> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="False"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> Please see the following to see further details http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2887588/wcf-using-windows-service Thanks Lijo

  • Parameter based bindings in ninject 2.0

    - by Przemaas
    I want to use conditional binding in ninject, based on passed parameters. I have something like below: public class Subject { } public interface ITarget { } public class Target1 : ITarget { } public class Target2 : ITarget { } And now I need to instantiate ITarget interface: public void MethodName(IKernel kernel) { ITarget target1 = kernel.Get<ITarget>(new Parameter("name", new Subject(), true)); // Should be instance of Target1 ITarget target2 = kernel.Get<ITarget>(); // Should be instance of Target2 } I have problems to define proper bindings. I tried the following: kernel.Bind<ITarget>().To<Target1>().When(Predicate); kernel.Bind<ITarget>().To<Target2>(); private bool Predicate(IRequest request) { IParameter parameter = request.Parameters.Count == 0 ? null : request.Parameters[0]; if (parameter == null) { return false; } object parameterValue = parameter.GetValue( /*what to put here?*/); return parameterValue != null && parameterValue.GetType().IsAssignableFrom(typeof(Subject)); } but I don't know how to get value of passed parameter. I need to pass IContext instance to GetValue method, but don't know how to get valid instance of IContext. Or maybe there is better way to accomplish my task? Regards

  • Applying correct bindings to WPF datatemplate to maximize reusability

    - by johncatfish
    Hi. I have a WPF application. I want to apply that datatemplate to a Listbox filled with records from Table02. Then, for each listboxitem I need to bind the combobox to the same database table (Table01), but for each listboxitem the selected item will vary. It will be a foreign key to Table01. <DataTemplate x:Key="Table01DataTemplate"> <Grid> <ComboBox ItemsSource="{Binding Model.IQueryable_Table01, RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type Window}}}" SelectedValue="{Binding Table01_ForeignKey}" DisplayMemberPath="name" SelectedValuePath="id" /> <!-- Other stuff --> </Grid> </DataTemplate> <ListBox x:Name="lbTest" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource Table01DataTemplate}" /> <!-- In .cs file lbTest.DataContext = this; --> Notes: Model.IQueryable_Table01 is a property which encapsulates a Linq-to-sql call returning a IQueryable. lbTest will be filled by setting ItemsSource with a Linq-to-sql call. Is this a good way to do the bindings in a data template for a maximum reusability? I also thought of replacing AncestorType={x:Type Window} with lbTest.DataContext = this; AncestorType={x:Type Application} and lbTest.DataContext = App.Current; But it didn't work (Exception on loading) and I don't know if there's any caveats or down-sides to this approach. Is this good? Any suggestions or improvements? Thanks.

  • Python bindings for a vala library

    - by celil
    I am trying to create python bindings to a vala library using the following IBM tutorial as a reference. My initial directory has the following two files: test.vala using GLib; namespace Test { public class Test : Object { public int sum(int x, int y) { return x + y; } } } test.override %% headers #include <Python.h> #include "pygobject.h" #include "test.h" %% modulename test %% import gobject.GObject as PyGObject_Type %% ignore-glob *_get_type %% and try to build the python module source test_wrap.c using the following code build.sh #/usr/bin/env bash valac test.vala -CH test.h python /usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/h2def.py test.h > test.defs pygobject-codegen-2.0 -o test.override -p test test.defs > test_wrap.c However, the last command fails with an error $ ./build.sh Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/codegen.py", line 1720, in <module> sys.exit(main(sys.argv)) File "/usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/codegen.py", line 1672, in main o = override.Overrides(arg) File "/usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/override.py", line 52, in __init__ self.handle_file(filename) File "/usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/override.py", line 84, in handle_file self.__parse_override(buf, startline, filename) File "/usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/override.py", line 96, in __parse_override command = words[0] IndexError: list index out of range Is this a bug in pygobject, or is something wrong with my setup? What is the best way to call code written in vala from python? EDIT: Removing the extra line fixed the current problem, but now as I proceed to build the python module, I am facing another problem. Adding the following C file to the existing two in the directory: test_module.c #include <Python.h> void test_register_classes (PyObject *d); extern PyMethodDef test_functions[]; DL_EXPORT(void) inittest(void) { PyObject *m, *d; init_pygobject(); m = Py_InitModule("test", test_functions); d = PyModule_GetDict(m); test_register_classes(d); if (PyErr_Occurred ()) { Py_FatalError ("can't initialise module test"); } } and building with the following script build.sh #/usr/bin/env bash valac test.vala -CH test.h python /usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/h2def.py test.h > test.defs pygobject-codegen-2.0 -o test.override -p test test.defs > test_wrap.c CFLAGS="`pkg-config --cflags pygobject-2.0` -I/usr/include/python2.6/ -I."   • How do I bind to a custom view in Cocoa using Xcode 4?

    - by Newt
    I'm a beginner when it comes to writing Mac apps and working with Cocoa, so please forgive my ignorance. I'm looking to create a custom view, that exposes some properties, which I can then bind to an NSObjectController. Since it's a custom view, the Bindings Inspector obviously doesn't list any of the properties I've added to the view that I can then bind to using Interface Builder. After turning to the Stackoverflow/Google for help, I've stumbled across a couple of possible solutions, but neither seem to be quite right for my situation. The first suggested creating an IBPlugin, which would then mean my bindings would be available in the Bindings Inspector. I could then bind the view to the controller using IB. Apparently IBPlugins aren't supported in Xcode 4, so that one's out the window. I'm also assuming (maybe wrongly) that IBPlugins are no longer supported because there's a better way of doing such things these days? The second option was to bind the controller to the view programmatically. I'm a bit confused as to exactly how I would achieve this. Would it require subclassing NSObjectController so I can add the calls to bind to the view? Would I need to add anything to the view to support this? Some examples I've seen say you'd need to override the bind method, and others say you don't. Also, I've noticed that some example custom views call [self exposeBinding:@"bindingName"] in the initializer. From what I gather from various sources, this is something that's related to IBPlugins and isn't something I need to do if I'm not using them. Is that correct? I've found a post on Stackoverflow here which seems to discuss something very similar to my problem, but there wasn't any clear winner as to the best answer. The last comment by noa on 12th Sept seems interesting, although they mention you should be calling exposeBinding:. Is this comment along the right track? Is the call to exposeBinding really necessary? Apologies for any dumb questions. Any help greatly appreciated.

  • How to access a site in IIS with no DNS mapping

    - by CiccioMiami
    In my IIS 7.5 hosted in a Windows Server 2008 R2 I have several websites with no DNS address assigned. Let's take for instance the site (as named in IIS) with site name mySite. I have for this site the standard binding with no host name. Suppose that my server IP address is, for instance, 101.22.23.01. Therefore it seems logic to me that in order to access the website, I should place in the address bar of my browser: [IP_address]/[sitename] in this case: 101.22.23.01/mySite but it does not work. Shall I specify something else in the bindings?

  • When is it possible to override top-level bindings in (R7RS) scheme?

    - by Marc
    I have read the current draft of the forthcoming R7RS scheme standard (small language), but I don't understand under which conditions it is not an error to redefine top-level bindings. I guess that it is possible to define or set! a binding that has been introduced at the top-level of a program a second time. But what about imported bindings from an external library? Is it possible to override these bindings by the standard? On page 26/27 of the report, it says: The top level of a program may also include import declarations. In a library declaration, it is an error to import the same identifier more than once with different bindings, or to redefine or mutate an imported binding with define, define-syntax or set!. However, a REPL should permit these actions. Does it mean that redefining is only an error when it does happen in libraries for imported bindings? I understand that it prohibits optimisations by compilers if the compiler does not know whether, say + still means the built-in addition or is any other user-specified error. But from this perspective, it does not make sense to restrict forbidding to rebind on the library level, when it would also make sense (at least) for imported bindings in programs. P.S.: As this is all about the environment of a scheme program: am I right in saying that environments are not first class citizens because one cannot get hold of the current environment? (Which, in turn, allows a compiled program to forget about the chosen names of the bindings.)

  • TFS - Rebinding solution to new TFS when prior TFS no longer available

    - by MikeMalter
    The prior instance of TFS I was using is no longer available and I have a test project I want to bind to the new instance of TFS. However, when I try to add the solution to source control, the error message tells me that the collection is not available on the server. I have deleted all old source control files, and it still has the old bindings somewhere. Does anyone know how to remove ALL bindings so I can just simply start over again with a new instance of TFS? Thanks.

  • NSObjectController confusion binding to a class property. Help!

    - by scottw
    Hi, I'm teaching myself cocoa and enjoying the experience most of the time. I have been struggling all day with a simple problem that google has let me down on. I have read the Cocoa Bindings Program Topics and think I grok it but still can't solve my issue. I have a very simple class called MTSong that has various properties. I have used @synthesize to create getter/setters and can use KVC to change properties. i.e in my app controller the following works: mySong = [[MTSong alloc]init]; [mySong setValue:@"2" forKey:@"version"]; In case I am doing something noddy in my class code MTSong.h is: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @interface MTSong : NSObject { NSNumber *version; NSString *name; } @property(readwrite, assign) NSNumber *version; @property(readwrite, assign) NSString *name; @end and MTSong.m is: #import "MTSong.h" @implementation MTSong - (id)init { [super init]; return self; } - (void)dealloc { [super dealloc]; } @synthesize version; @synthesize name; @end In Interface Builder I have a label (NSTextField) that I want to update whenever I use KVC to change the version of the song. I do the following: Drag NSObjectController object into the doc window and in the Inspector-Attributes I set: Mode: Class Class Name: MTSong Add a key called version and another called name Go to Inspector-Bindings-Controller Content Bind To: File's Owner (Not sure this is right...) Model Key Path: version Select the cell of the label and go to Inspector Bind to: Object Controller Controller Key: mySong Model Key Path: version I have attempted changing the Model Key Path in step 2 to "mySong" which makes more sense but the compiler complains. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Scott Update Post Comments I wasn't exposing mySong property so have changed my AppController.h to be: #import <Cocoa/Cocoa.h> @class MTSong; @interface AppController : NSObject { IBOutlet NSButton *start; IBOutlet NSTextField *tf; MTSong *mySong; } -(IBAction)convertFile:(id)sender; @end I suspect File's owner was wrong as I am not using a document based application and I need to bind to the AppController, so step 2 is now: Go to Inspector-Bindings-Controller Content Bind To: App Controller Model Key Path: mySong I needed to change 3. to Select the cell of the label and go to Inspector Bind to: Object Controller Controller Key: selection Model Key Path: version All compiles and is playing nice!

  • How do I get the same key bindings in vmware's Window and Mac [closed]

    - by ragnarius
    I have a macbook but sometimes I run Windows in vmware to program in Visual Studio. I have a swedish keyboard, to get the curly brace '{' I press alt(=option)+shift+8 in mac, but to get the same character in vmware/windows I should press alt+7. Obviously, I would like to have the same keyboard layout in mac and windows, how can I make this happen? I have been recommended to use autohotkey on Windows, but I have a problem mapping AltGr shift 8 to a character (i.e. <^!+8:{ does not work) (I state the question in this forum because I think that only programmers can answer it, we are the only ones that use the characters []{} )

I've looked at OpenCV's source and found the file cv2.cpp which has conversions functions to perform conversions to and fro between PyObject* and OpenCV's Mat. I made use of those conversions functions but got a segmentation fault when I tried to use them. I basically need some suggestions/sample code/online references on how to interface python and C++ code that make use of OpenCV, specifically with the ability to return OpenCV's C++ Mat to the python interpreter or perhaps suggestions on how/where to start investigating the cause of the segmentation fault. Currently I'm using Boost Python to wrap the code. Thanks in advance to any replies. The relevant code: // This is the function that is giving the segmentation fault. PyObject* ABC::doSomething(PyObject* image) { Mat m; pyopencv_to(image, m); // This line gives segmentation fault. // Some code to create cppObj from CPP library that uses OpenCV cv::Mat processedImage = cppObj->align(m); return pyopencv_from(processedImage); } The conversion functions taken from OpenCV's source follows. The conversion code gives segmentation fault at the commented line with "if (!PyArray_Check(o)) ...". static int pyopencv_to(const PyObject* o, Mat& m, const char* name = "<unknown>", bool allowND=true) { if(!o || o == Py_None) { if( !m.data ) m.allocator = &g_numpyAllocator; return true; } if( !PyArray_Check(o) ) // Segmentation fault inside PyArray_Check(o) { failmsg("%s is not a numpy array", name); return false; } int typenum = PyArray_TYPE(o); int type = typenum == NPY_UBYTE ? CV_8U : typenum == NPY_BYTE ? CV_8S : typenum == NPY_USHORT ? CV_16U : typenum == NPY_SHORT ? CV_16S : typenum == NPY_INT || typenum == NPY_LONG ? CV_32S : typenum == NPY_FLOAT ? CV_32F : typenum == NPY_DOUBLE ? CV_64F : -1; if( type < 0 ) { failmsg("%s data type = %d is not supported", name, typenum); return false; } int ndims = PyArray_NDIM(o); if(ndims >= CV_MAX_DIM) { failmsg("%s dimensionality (=%d) is too high", name, ndims); return false; } int size[CV_MAX_DIM+1]; size_t step[CV_MAX_DIM+1], elemsize = CV_ELEM_SIZE1(type); const npy_intp* _sizes = PyArray_DIMS(o); const npy_intp* _strides = PyArray_STRIDES(o); bool transposed = false; for(int i = 0; i < ndims; i++) { size[i] = (int)_sizes[i]; step[i] = (size_t)_strides[i]; } if( ndims == 0 || step[ndims-1] > elemsize ) { size[ndims] = 1; step[ndims] = elemsize; ndims++; } if( ndims >= 2 && step[0] < step[1] ) { std::swap(size[0], size[1]); std::swap(step[0], step[1]); transposed = true; } if( ndims == 3 && size[2] <= CV_CN_MAX && step[1] == elemsize*size[2] ) { ndims--; type |= CV_MAKETYPE(0, size[2]); } if( ndims > 2 && !allowND ) { failmsg("%s has more than 2 dimensions", name); return false; } m = Mat(ndims, size, type, PyArray_DATA(o), step); if( m.data ) { m.refcount = refcountFromPyObject(o); m.addref(); // protect the original numpy array from deallocation // (since Mat destructor will decrement the reference counter) }; m.allocator = &g_numpyAllocator; if( transposed ) { Mat tmp; tmp.allocator = &g_numpyAllocator; transpose(m, tmp); m = tmp; } return true; } static PyObject* pyopencv_from(const Mat& m) { if( !m.data ) Py_RETURN_NONE; Mat temp, *p = (Mat*)&m; if(!p->refcount || p->allocator != &g_numpyAllocator) { temp.allocator = &g_numpyAllocator; m.copyTo(temp); p = &temp; } p->addref(); return pyObjectFromRefcount(p->refcount); } My python test program: import pysomemodule # My python wrapped library. import cv2 def main(): myobj = pysomemodule.ABC("faces.train") # Create python object. This works. image = cv2.imread('61.jpg') processedImage = myobj.doSomething(image) cv2.imshow("test", processedImage) cv2.waitKey() if __name__ == "__main__": main()
