• C# wpf: Need to add mouseclick event to certain text within a textbox

  I have a textbox with a paragraph of information. There are certain words in the paragraph that i want the user to be able to click on, and when clicked, a different textbox is populated with more information. I know that you can have the event for the whole textbox, but that isn't want i want. I only want to call that event when certain words within the box are clicked.

  please help me with the following if you can, i have the simple following command me.textbox1.databindings.clear me.textbox1.databindings.add("text",TicketsBindingSource,"TicketSubject") the command exeutes succesfully and i can see in the textbox the title, BUT once i click on the textbox1 the position of the cursor it's always moving to the position 0 and not to the area of the textbox i clicked. For example my textbox has the following text: "Hello World". If i click with my mouse inside the textbox at the letter W or anywhere i click the cursor is moving to the 0 index. eg. at the beggining , in order to move my cursor left or right i have to do that with my keyboard arrows keys, Dose anybody know how i can solve this issue?

  I try to generate as little HTML from JavaScript as possible. Instead, I prefer to manipulate existing markup whenever I can and only generate HTML when I need to dynamically insert an element that isn't a good candidate for using Ajax. This, I believe, makes it far easier to maintain the code and quickly make changes to it because the markup is easier to read and trace. My rule of thumb is: HTML is for document structure, CSS is for presentation, JavaScript is for behavior. However, I've seen a lot of JS code that generates mounds of HTML, including entire forms and content-heavy modal dialogs. In general, which method is considered best practice? In what circumstances should JavaScript be used to generate HTML and when should it not?

  Hi, (I've seen similar questions, but I think none of them cater to my specific needs, hence...) I would like to know if there is a Java library for analysis of real-world (read: incomplete, ill-formed) HTML. By analysis, I mean things like: figuring out the most prominent color in an HTML chunk changing that color to some other color (hence, has to support modification of the HTML as well) pruning out unwanted tags fixing up the HTML to result in a well formed HTML snippet Parts of the last two are done by libraries such as Jericho, and jTidy. Is there anything in real life that comes close? If not, is it possible to define customized keywords in Java or JSP? Or do I have to create an entirely new programming language for that? What problems do you see with this kind of setup? PS: I know you can use HTML libraries to construct HTML using Java code, but the problem with such libraries is, the source code itself doesn't have a readable HTML representation like the code above does - if you get what I mean.

• Sending HTML to Gmail always lands in Spam

  I am having an issue with sending HTML emails to Gmail. I can send them to Yahoo, Hotmail, RR, AOL, etc. with no problem at all, but when I send them to Gmail I get kicked to spam. I have checked my IP with a lot of different list to make sure it is not listed anywhere, which it is not. spamhaus = is not listed in the DBL abuse.net = is not listed in the SBL abuse.net = is not listed in the PBL abuse.net = is not listed in the XBL spamcop = not listed in bl.spamcop.net host 24.172.204.xxx xxx.204.172.24.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer xxxevents.com. host xxxevents.com xxxevents.com has address 24.172.204.xxx xxxevents.com mail is handled by 10 mail.xxxevents.com. I am just trying to send a very VERY basic HTML message (listed below). I use an Ubuntu server, swiftmailer, multipart/alternative (HTML & plain), SPF = pass, and I am going to setup DKIM today to see if that fixes it (but I doubt it will)...   I am trying to create a custom WPF textbox control that extends the standard textbox control but the extended textbox behaves differently when placed in control containers. • Html Agility Pack for Reading “Real World” HTML

  In an ideal world, all data you need from the web would be available via well-designed services. In the real world you sometimes have to scrape the data off a web page. Ugly, dirty – but if you really want that data, you have no choice. Just don’t write (yet another) HTML parser. I stumbled across the Html Agility Pack (HAP) a long time ago, but just now had the need for a robust way to read HTML. A quote from the website: This is an agile HTML parser that builds a read/write DOM and supports plain XPATH or XSLT (you actually don't HAVE to understand XPATH nor XSLT to use it, don't worry...). It is a .NET code library that allows you to parse "out of the web" HTML files. The parser is very tolerant with "real world" malformed HTML. The object model is very similar to what proposes System.Xml, but for HTML documents (or streams). Using the HAP was a simple matter of getting the Nuget package, taking a look at the example and dusting off some of my XPath knowledge from years ago. The documentation on the Codeplex site is non-existing, but if you’ve queried a DOM or used XPath or XSLT before you shouldn’t have problems finding your way around using Intellisense (ReSharper tip: Press Ctrl+Shift+F1 on class members for reading the full doc comments).

The responses contain HTML code, but BeautifulSoup escapes all the HTML tags so it can be displayed nicely. Unfortunately I need the HTML code.   Hello all. I'm building a source code search engine, and I'm returning the results on a HTML page (aspx to be exact, but the view logic is in HTML). When someone searches a string, I also return the whole line of code where this string can be found in a file. However, some lines of code come from HTML/aspx files and these lines contain HTML specific comments (). When I try to print this line on the HTML page, it interprets it as a comment and does not show it on the screen....how should I go about solving this so that it actually shows up? • Drawing a TextBox in an extended Glass Frame (C# w/o WPF)

  I am trying to draw a TextBox on the extended glass frame of my form. I won't describe this technique, it's well-known. Here's an example for those who haven't heard of it: http://www.danielmoth.com/Blog/Vista-Glass-In-C.aspx The thing is, it is complex to draw over this glass frame. Since black is considered to be the 0-alpha color, anything black disappears. There are apparently ways of countering this problem: drawing complex GDI+ shapes are not affected by this alpha-ness. After lots of Googling, I came up with the following solutions: Subclassing the TextBox's OnPaint method. This is possible, although I could not get it to work properly. It should involve painting some magic things I don't know how to do yet. Making my own custom TextBox, perhaps on a TextBoxBase. If anyone has good, valid and working examples, and thinks this could be a good overall solution, please tell me. Using BufferedPaintSetAlpha. (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms649805.aspx). The downsides of this method may be that the corners of the textbox might look odd, but I can live with that. If anyone knows how to implement that method properly from a Graphics object, please tell me. I personally don't, but this seems the best solution so far. Thanks!

Description: Lets say Connect View is displayed: Value of Textbox is 12 and I edit it and change it to 16. Now I click on I2C tab and then I go back to Connect tab, I want the textbox value to get refreshed back to the initial value i.e. 12. To be precise, is their a method called visibilitychanged() which I can write in all my user control classes, where I can set the value of these Ui components whenever tabs are changed? Please help :)

• WPF: Textbox not firing onTextInput event

  So basically, I have a bunch of TextBoxes that the user gets to fill out. I've got a button that I want to keep disabled until all the TextBoxes have had text entered in them. Here is a sample XAML TextBox that I'm using: <TextBox Name="DelayedRecallScore" TextInput="CheckTextBoxFilled" Width="24" /> And here is the function that I'm trying to trigger: //Disables the OK button until all score textboxes have content private void CheckTextBoxFilled(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { /* foreach (TextBox scorebox in TextBoxList) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(scorebox.Text)) { Ok_Button.IsEnabled = false; return; } } Ok_Button.IsEnabled = true; */ MessageBox.Show("THIS MAKES NO SENSE"); } The MessageBox is not showing up when TextInput should be getting triggered. As an experiment I tried triggering CheckTextBoxFilled() on PreviewTextInput, and it worked fine then, meaning that for whatever reason, the function just isn't getting called. I also have a validation function that is triggered by PreviewTextInput, which works as it should. At first I thought PreviewTextInput might somehow be interfering with TextInput, so I took PreviewTextInput off the TextBox, but that hasn't managed to fix anything. I'm completely befuddled by why this might happen, so any help would be appreciated.

• Databinding Textbox to Form.Text (title)

  I'm trying to bind a Textbox.Text to Form.Text (which sets the title of the form). The binding itself works. But, the title isn't updated until I move the entire form. How can I achieve Form.Text being updated without moving the form? I'd like Form.Text being updated directly when I type something in the Textbox. • Textarea (asp:Textbox TextMode="Multiline") overlapping buttons

• Generate HTML pages from some template

  I have an open-source project for which I have to generate HTML pages to put on the web. I wanted to keep everything as simple HTML pages. The problem with this approach is if I need to change the design, I have to goto all the pages and change it. This will be tough as I have lot of pages. Is there some kind of HTML generators which can process simple annotated text files? This way, I can maintain the documentation and website contents as plain text files and run it through this program to generate static HTML pages. This also helps in keeping the design consistent. Any help would be great!

• index.html in subdirectory will not open

  I want to have a website structure like this example.com/ - homepage example.com/solutions/ - this will be the solution parent page example.com/solutions/solution-one - child solution page example.com/solutions/solution-two- child solution page i have setup the example.com/solutions/index.html file so it can be opened as a parent page, but is shows me an error You don't have permission to access /solutions/.html on this server. What is the problem to this, how can i open parent, directory page? I na just using regular html pages, no cms or anything...
