  • Mac internal mic not working with Xlite

    I've used xlite for a while now but all of the sudden the internal mic from my mac stopped to work with it. It does call, and you can see the red bar rising but the other person can't hear a thing. The mic does work when using Skype so I think it's a problem with Xlite Things I've already tried: Reconfigure Xlite Reinstall Xlite Install Xlite Beta (After every step I rebooted the macbook) Obviously none of them worked.     Is there any program or way to make Mac OS X's ?(command)-tab behave like Windows' alt-tab? That is, instead of switching between applications, to switch between windows of all applications. I do know there's a way to switch between windows of the same application, but that's not what I want either. I'm not just trying to make Mac OS X behave like my recent former OS, I've been a Mac user for over two years and before that Ubuntu. After using Expose and ?-tab I think Windows' or Ubuntu's alt-tab is better.

  • Why is ssh agent forwarding not working?

    In my own computer, running MacOSX, I have this in ~/.ssh/config Host * ForwardAgent yes Host b1 ForwardAgent yes b1 is a virtual machine running Ubuntu 12.04. I ssh to it like this: ssh pupeno@b1 and I get logged in without being asked for a password because I already copied my public key. Due to forwarding, I should be able to ssh to pupeno@b1 from b1 and it should work, without asking me for a password, but it doesn't. It asks me for a password. What am I missing?   • My Mac Book Pro is turning itself, on my bagpack

    This happens to me twice: I press the power button on my Mac Book Pro, I choose sleep, I close it, I unplug everything, I confirm that is off (by pressing my ear to it) and put it in my back. Some minutes latter it wakes up by itself. Both times I caught it in time, well, the second time it was so hot I couldn't touch some parts and it was refusing to actually wake up, the screen was blank. Restarting it worked though. Any ideas what might be going on and/or how to prevent this?

  • Missing pictures in folder

    I had a folder with some pictures, somehow these pictures are "missing" and I cannot see them anymore. The strange thing is that if I use the "preview" view in Explorer (the one that shows the tiny icons of the folder contents), the folder preview shows these pictures as if they were inside. Once I enter the folder, they are not there anymore. I tried showing hidden files and folders, that doesn't help. Any ideas on how to show or recover those files? I'm using Windows XP.

  • How to tell if a Nexus One is unlocked?

    Is there a way I can tell just by looking at the phone if it is unlocked and works with any carrier? Explanation: I'm going to buy the phone from a guy, and he is not sure if the phone is unlocked or not. The phone is still in a box, it was a gift and came with a T-mobile SIM card that he never used. He is not paying any monthly fee for it.

  • Nightly backups (and maybe other tasks) causing server alerts

    I have two independent alert notification systems for my servers. The server is a virtual machine on Linode and one of the alerts comes from Linode. The other monitoring system we use is New Relic. They are both watching out for IO utilization. Every night I get alerts from both of them as the server is using too much IO. I run quite a few tasks in the middle of the night but the one I confirmed that can cause IO-warnings is running the backups. The backup is done by s3cmd sync. I tried ionice but it still generates the warnings. Getting warnings every night reduces the efficacy of warnings when they happen for real. For Linode I could raise the level at which a warning is issued, but it might mean making the whole thing useless as the level is too high. What would be the proper solution for this?

The minute we landed, we were made to feel at home from our host Patrick Fitzgerald. The whole family who run the Guest House were also very friendly and always keen to help us. Since we had people from South Africa to show us all the amazing sights and their traditional ways to live their lives, the two weeks were very enjoyable for all of us and we came much closer together as a group. You can read this in the following parts of this report. Enjoy! The first group of Apprentices in Oracle (from left to right): Maximilian Michel (DE), Jorge Garnacho (ES), Daniel Maull (UK), Adam Griffiths (UK), Guillermo De Las Nieves (ES), Catriona McGill (UK), Ed Dunlop (UK) The Training Well, it’s time to talk about the main purpose of our trip to South Africa: the training. Two weeks, two courses. Servers and Storage. Two weeks to learn as much as possible and get the certificate. First week: Eben Pretorius with Servers Boot Camp. Learning about: • Machines: T1000, T2000, T3, T4, M series; • How to connect to the machines: serial and network connections; • Levels of software: ALOM, ILOM, OBP and of course the operating system, Solaris Combined with the practical part (screwdriver in one hand, and antistatic wristband on the other) makes quite a lot of stuff! But fortunately, Eben was able to tell us about everything without making our brains explode. For the second week: Storage Boot Camp with Deon Van Vuuren. Taking a look at the content: • Storage machines; • Connectors and protocols: SCSi, SAS, SATA Fiber Channel. Again, huge amounts of information, but Deon definitely did a great job and helped us learn it all. At the end, there was just one question left. Were we able to pass the exam and get the certificate? Well, what can we say? Just take a closer look at the picture above and make your conclusions!     I'm using a the WPF DataGrid from the wpf toolkit and a TimePicker from AvalonControlsLibrary to insert a collection of TimeSpans. My problem is that bindings are not working inside the DataGrid, and I have no clue of why this isn't working.   • Filter a model's attributes before outputting as json

    Hey guys, I need to output my model as json and everything is going fine. However, some of the attributes need to be 'beautified' by filtering them through some helper methods, such as number_to_human_size. How would I go about doing this? In other words, say that I have an attribute named bytes and I want to pass it through number_to_human_size and have that result be output to json. I would also like to 'trim' what gets output as json if that's possible, since I only need some of the attributes. Is this possible? Can someone please give me an example? I would really appreciate it.

    I have this subclass of UIScrollView: @interface MyScrollView : UIScrollView <UIScrollViewDelegate> And I have those delegate methods - (void)scrollViewDidEndZooming:(UIScrollView *)aScrollView withView:(UIView *)view atScale(float)aScale{ NSLog(@"zoomed"); } - (UIView *)viewForZoomingInScrollView:(UIScrollView *)aScrollView{ NSLog(@"willzoom"); } When I zoom in MyScrollView viewForZoomingInScrollView is called but scrollViewDidEndZooming never gets called. Any idea why??

  • drawing images and lines over UIScrollView

    I'm programming an app in which one of the ViewControllers is showing an UIScrollView that shows an image. I'd like to load an image (pushpin in png format) and draw it (and delete it) in some points of the UIScrollView image. I'd also would like to draw bezier paths in that image (and deleting them). I've programmed several apps but this is the first time I face graphic programming and don't know where to start from. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The client application can't explicity send me the same message. Can I read a message without removing it from the queue? Can I be notified for each message? In my database i have store = "Via Rápida" i'm doing : local = Local.objects.filter(name__icontains=request.GET['descricao']) with that i can get everthing fine like "Via Rapida" but the result that have "Via rápida" never get match in the query (ASCI caracter may be ?) what must i do given a string "Via rapida" match "via rápida" and "via rapida" ?
