  • send arrow keys using ganymed ssh java

    I am using Ganymed ssh to connect to a remote machine and apart from sending commands I need to send the arrows keys (left and right keys). I can send commands but when I send the arrows keys nothing happends.     I am using OpenLayers to create a box of interest with my program. I am using this code: var control = new OpenLayers.Control(); OpenLayers.Util.extend(control, { draw: function () { this.box = new OpenLayers.Handler.Box( control, {"done": this.notice}, {keyMask: OpenLayers.Handler.MOD_SHIFT}); this.box.activate(); }, notice: function (bounds) { areaSelected(bounds); } }); map.addControl(control); to capture the "Shift Create a Box" control and use the area selected as my area of interest. However the values come back as pixels. But I want Longitude and Latitude, not pixels. The Mouse Position control does show the correct long & lat. I really don't care how to box is created, I just want an easy way for the user to select a area of the map and I need to get the lat & longs of the area. (Box, Circle, doesn't matter)

    I am trying to benchmark some code. I am sending a String msg over sockets. I want to send 100KB, 2MB, and 10MB String variables. Is there an easy way to create a variable of these sizes? Currently I am doing this. private static String createDataSize(int msgSize) { String data = "a"; while(data.length() < (msgSize*1024)-6) { data += "a"; } return data; } But this takes a very long time. Is there a better way?

  • Visual Studio 2010 "Not enough storage is available to process this command"

    I'm fighting with VS 2010 and this error that seems to be very common in previous versions, but it looks like not everyone is having it in the latest version. I've got VS 2010 SP1 and I'm getting this error quite often. The problem is that it's not even enough to restart VS in order to make it go away, I usually have to restart my pc, and i'm losing a lot of time doing this (it's quite frequent) I've got Windows 7 32bits (can't upgrade to 64 bits, the company doesn't allow it), and I can't do things like creating another solution (please don't reply this :) ) I've used the command to make devenv.exe LARGEADDRESSAWARE, but the error keeps on happening My virtual memory size is set to automatic, and the weird thing is that VS doesn't even take 2gb of ram, so I don't know if the error is really because it's lacking memory, or if it's some bug in the program any ideas, things to try, something?

    i've seem this post about extracting a zip without a temporary file via stream and pipes: Open a file from archive without temporary extraction The problem is that i'm using php and have no idea if that is possible. I've search a lot with no luck. My idea is to preview zip files from the dropbox using its API but i dont want to save the files to a local drive, just preview the content. Any idea if that's possible with php? Almost everything i found is about creating the file, not reading it... :-\ I was thinking that i might try with nodejs, but i know mostly nothing about nodejs, do you think it would support it?     Im Working on a creation of a query who uses INSERT SELECT statement using MS SQL Server 2008: INSERT INTO TABLE1 (col1, col2) SELECT col1, col2 FROM TABLE2 Right now the excecution of this query is inside a transaction: Pseudocode: try { begin transaction; query; commit; } catch { rollback; } If TABLE2 has around 40m of rows, at the moment of making the insert on the TABLE1, if there is an error in the middle of the INSERT, will the INSERT SELECT statement make a rollback itself or I need to use a transaction to preserve data integrity? It is necessary to use a transaction? or SQL SERVER it self uses a transaction for this type of sentences.

When a new XML is downloaded it should overwrite its corresponding previous XML. I would like to store the files in a sqlite database. How can I insert my files into the db? Should I use BLOB or store the content of the XML as string? In any case how should I do it?

  • jquery buttonset()

    Hi - I'm using the jquery buttonset() on a set of radio buttons (to tart them up). I'd like to be able to set the selected radio button on another user event. I've been looking into this and while I can set the selected radio button, but I cannot also (easily) update the UI to indicate what the selected radio button is. From what I can tell, I need to call this to set the radio button at index n to be checked $('input[name="transactionsRadio"]')[n].checked = true; And then do some convoluted jquery selector calls to remove the ui-state-active from one lable and apply it to the new label. Is this really the most optimal way to do this ? I had expected an equivalent method to the 'activate' method that is available for the jquery Accordian control.     Hello everybody, I'm starting on a new iPhone project, and this application mostly relies on mySQL. I have a mysql database running on my computer, and I need this application to send queries to the server to gain information. One example is creating and logging into an account. I have successfully done this on my windows vb.net application, but I know that objective c will be harder. This is basically getting text from the sql database and displaying it on the iPhone application. If someone could simply help me on that, I'll easily get started.   • Is anyone else receiving a QUOTA_EXCEEDED_ERR on their iPad when accessing localStorage?

    I have a web application written in JavaScript that runs successfully on the desktop via Safari as well as on the iPhone. We are looking at porting this application to the iPad and we are running into a problem where we are seeing QUOTA_EXCEEDED_ERR when storing a relatively small amount of data within the localStorage on the device. I know what this error means, but I just don't think I'm storing all that much data. Is anyone else doing something similar? And seeing/not seeing this problem? Kevin...

It would need to be saved in the Documents folder of the app. I have seen the URLCache example that apple presented, but I didn't find it useful since it was an image that was being shown. In addition there was some complex code on the modification date. I actually need something when the application opens it will begin the download process.   • UIViewControllers - TabBarApplication - iPhone SDK

    Hello everyone, I am very new to the iPhone SDK. I need to know if in a tab bar application I need to make UIViewController classes. For example, when I make a new tab bar application there is a default FirstViewController class (.h, .m) already there. Now if I have code on the second tab, would I need to create a SecondViewController class? If not, how would I make a button on the 2nd tab, and make that button do something. I'm not really sure how to do it, because the FirstViewController works with the buttons and code, but if I make a SecondViewController, and I link everything my app crashes. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Kevin

  • Displaying a DHTML layer over a Silverlight UI...

    I have a MOSS 2007 publishing site which incorporates some Silverlight components on various pages. Beyond a few areas the rest of the site is SharePoint and ASPX (i.e. standard HTML/javascript). I'm looking at incorporating a dynamic/dropdown menu to the main navigation. Unfortunately on a few of the pages the menu sits close to a Silverlight area and, when a menu is pulled down it falls "behind" the Silverlight block. Is there something simple I'm not doing or is there a limitation that Silverlight always be on top of dynamic content displayed via the rest of the HTML DOM? Any ideas? -Kevin

Now I need to update a user Twitter or Facebook status. Which gem should I use for Twitter? and for Facebook? Or should I prefer Net::HTTP for both?   • Weird ViewControllers - iPhone SDK

    Hello everyone, I have a Tab-Bar Application for this iPhone application I am making. I make a simple button on the 3rd view (3rd tab), and give it an IBAction to give an alert view. When I press build and go, everything works out fine. I go onto the 3rd tab, and I press my button. It simply crashes... Why is this happening? Everything I put in this 3rd tab crashes. I create a simple view controller, and write the class files to start over, but I keep getting the same errors.. Everything works fine on my first tab, where I originally got the first view controller.. P.S It also says Incomplete Implementation of Class 'ThirdViewController'. I don't know why its there.. If anyone can help me out here, i would greatly appreciate it. Kevin

    Dear reader, I'm faced with a bit of an issue. The scenario is that I have a multi-line text box and I want to put all that text into one single string, without any new lines in it. This is what I have at the moment: string[] values = tbxValueList.Text.Split('\n'); foreach (string value in values) { if (value != "" && value != " " && value != null && value != "|") { valueList += value; } } The problem is that no matter what I try and what I do, there is always a new line (at least I think?) in my string, so instead of getting: "valuevaluevalue" I get: "value value value".     Hello everyone, I have a program that will scan the contents of a website, and display it in a textbox. The problem is that it shows the html source. For example if my html code was: <html> <body> <p>Hello</p> </body> </html> instead of just showing hello, it'll show the code above... How can I get my objective c program to just read the hello, and not the html source.. I was assuming that it was the encoding when reading the website, but I might be possibly wrong..   • Cocoa - NSFileManager removeItemAtPath Not Working

    Hey there everyone, I am trying to delete a file, but somehow nsfilemanager will not allow me to do so. I do use the file in one line of code, but once that action has been ran, I want the file deleted. I have logged the error code and message and I get error code: 4 and the message: "text.txt" could not be removed Is there a way to fix this error "cleanly" (without any hacks) so that apple will accept this app onto their Mac App Store?   • Weird Jquery/CSS Menu Issue

    Hey All, I have a jquery drop down menu with jquery and css to style it. However, every time you hover over the menu options and go back and forth, it seems to leave pieces of the menu left over. Any ideas where this is coming from and how to get rid of it?   • Best way to position a two part background in CSS?

    Hey All! I have a weird background I am trying to figure out the best way to style it. So, there are two parts to the background image, the top part which has a unique horizontal and vertical design (its about 1024x700) then a bottom section that has a unique style horizontally, but can be repeated vertically . (1024 x 1) Right now I have the top section being a background image for the header, the problem is that it screws me up for styling all of the page content because it is so big! What would be the best way to code a two piece background like that in HTML and CSS? Thanks! Kevin
