    Using XNA 4.0, I am currently playing songs from the user's PC/XBox360 using the following: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Media.MediaPlayer.Play(Song song); I see that MediaPlayer has a static Property PlayPosition that, as I've researched, used to be a get/set property, but it has been updated to get-only. Are there any other methods/tricks I can use to explicitly set the playing position of a currently playing song?

    Hi, is there any way how to easy subclass a Mapped class in lift framework? class One extends LongKeyedMapper[One] with IdPK{ object sharedField extend MappedString(this) } class Two extends One[*]{ ... } *and now I can't hint the compiler because One is not defined generic. So this doesn't work, what is the right way?

    I've having problems with resource filtering using m2eclipse Maven support in Eclipse. It seems that filtering only takes place on resources that have changed. This is fundamentally flawed because, if I have a file that references properties (e.g. ${my.property}, if the value of the property changes, the filtering will only be performed if the referencing file is also modified - if I only change the property value (in my pom.xml), the filtering is not applied to the files that that reference it. So, if I make a change to a property in my pom file, the filtering is not applied. However, if I then go to the file that references that property (e.g. a Spring config file) then edit and save it, the filtering is applied. I did read somewhere that: "m2eclipse skips filtering if there were no resource changes during incremental build" I'm using m2eclipse 0.10.x Has anyone else come across this? Thanks, Andrew

  • C# WinForms StatusStrip - How do I reclaim the space from the "Grip"

    I've got a StatusStrip with a single ToolStripStatusLabel, Spring=true and a background color for notifications. The problem is that there's an ugly gray square on the right side of the status strip. After fiddling for a while, I realized this is the sizing grip (I had is set to SizingGrip=false, GripStyle=Hidden). Yet even with it hidden, it still hogs the space. I can't get any content on the status strip to extend all the way to the right. How would you work around this? Note I can't just set the backcolor of the StatusStrip because the Status Label changes colors and has some fading effects.

  • Unable to find CFNetwork in XCode

    Hello, I am trying to use CFNetwork in my app so I tried adding CFNetwork.framework from the Edit Target dialog in XCode. The interesting thing is that CFNetwork is not visible in the dialog box at all. Am I missing anything? Do I have to add/install CFNetwork in some other way? Screenshot - Thanks in advance.

    I have 2 databases with a 2 tables with HierachyID fields. For one database I can get a dal cs file, for the other database I cannot get a dal cs file ? HBus is a database I can get the dal cs for, ... SqlMetal /server:.\SQLSERVER2008 /database:HBus /code:HBusDC.cs /views /functions /sprocs /namespace:HBusDC /context:HBusDataContext This kicks me out a file, ... which works, but excludes the HierarchyID field for the table and includes all other fields for that table. This is OK I do not mind.     I'm currently evaluating QtQuick (Qt User Interface Creation Kit) which will be released as part of Qt 4.7. QML is the JavaScript-based declarative language behind QtQuick. It seems to be a very powerful concept, but I'm wondering if anybody that's made extensive use of other, more mature declarative-UI languages like XAML in WPF or Silverlight can give any insight into the real-world benefits that can be gained from this style of programming.     I'm having trouble finding a list of the changes and bug fixes that have been made in the .Net framework for .Net 4.0. They're not easy to find, but surely they exist somewhere? Specifically I want to find out what changes and updates have been made for System.Net.HttpWebRequest and System.Net.CookieContainer, as both are quite bugridden in 3.5 and I want to evaluate whether I should write my code for .Net 4.0 or if I should create some custom classes to work around their issues.

  • Why am I getting a TypeLoadException when defining a custom profile?

    I'm writing a .NET command-line application that will migrate users from an existing database into aspnetdb. To simplify the user-specific settings, I'm using the profile class that Joel Spolsky wrote about here. It works great in the ASP.NET MVC website, but for some reason it's throwing a TypeLoadException when being used from this new application. I'm not sure why the framework is trying to load the new class from System.Web.
