  • Absolute UriSource of a Resource image

    - by Louis Rhys
I have a WPF project. If I store image in {ProjectRoot}\Images\image.png, and compile it as Resource then I can access it from a xaml (this xaml is located at Root) as BitmapImage by BitmapImage UriSource="Images/image.png". But if I move the xaml to another folder, say {ProjectRoot}\Xamls, now I have to use BitmapImage UriSource="../Images/image.png". Is there a way to specify an absolute project path, so that I can refer to them with the same path regardless of the location of the xaml?

  • What is the "proper" method for determining if a swf is running within an AIR application?

    - by Michael Prescott
I've got a Flex Web project and a Flex AIR project that use a common code-base. The common code defines several run-time loaded Flex Modules. I want the Flex Modules to behave differently depending on whether the running base application is WEB or AIR. What is the proper method for determining from the module code whether the module is running in a WEB or AIR application? (I found that Security.sandboxType.toString() returns "application", but I haven't found anything better in the documentation, yet.)

  • How to prevent mvn jetty:run from executing test phase?

    - by tputkonen
    We use MySQL in production, and Derby for unit tests. Our pom.xml copies Derby version of persistence.xml before tests, and replaces it with the MySQL version in prepare-package phase: <plugin> <artifactId>maven-antrun-plugin</artifactId> <version>1.3</version> <executions> <execution> <id>copy-test-persistence</id> <phase>process-test-resources</phase> <configuration> <tasks> <!--replace the "proper" persistence.xml with the "test" version--> <copy file="${project.build.testOutputDirectory}/META-INF/persistence.xml.test" tofile="${project.build.outputDirectory}/META-INF/persistence.xml" overwrite="true" verbose="true" failonerror="true" /> </tasks> </configuration> <goals> <goal>run</goal> </goals> </execution> <execution> <id>restore-persistence</id> <phase>prepare-package</phase> <configuration> <tasks> <!--restore the "proper" persistence.xml--> <copy file="${project.build.outputDirectory}/META-INF/persistence.xml.production" tofile="${project.build.outputDirectory}/META-INF/persistence.xml" overwrite="true" verbose="true" failonerror="true" /> </tasks> </configuration> <goals> <goal>run</goal> </goals> </execution> </executions> </plugin> The problem is, that if I execute mvn jetty:run it will execute the test persistence.xml file copy task before starting jetty. I want it to be run using the deployment version. How can I fix this?

  • Directory.GetFiles returning entire path, I only want the filename?

    - by blerh
This is the code I have set up to scan a directory of files: Dim fileArray() As String fileArray = Directory.GetFiles(System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory & "help\") And it successfully gets all files in the directory, but it gets their absolute paths aswell. For example, one of the entries in fileArray() is: F:\Project\Project\bin\x86\Debug\help\book_troubleshoot.html And I want it to just be: book_troubleshoot.html Is there a way to do this without parsing through all the array entries to trim off the path? Thanks.

    - by dominolog
Hello I have a .NET CF project. In the project directory I put a simple xml file (users.xml) which has to be read by the device. When I debug the application on device emulator and try to load the file from code, the Exception is thrown (FileNotFoundException "Could not find file '\users.xml'."). Is there a mechanism to automatically deploy also configuration files to a device emulator?

  • Has anyone tried the "objectify" library for Google App Engine?

    - by Spines
I was using JDO for my google app engine project but got fed up with the additional 5 seconds it adds to my cold start time. I was planning on just writing stuff directly to the database with the low level datastore api, but then I came accross the objectify project ( http://code.google.com/p/objectify-appengine/ ). Apparently its a super light wrapper above the low level api. Does anyone have experiences with this library that they could share?

  • Maven : Determine parent POM

    - by toolkit
Hi there, I have a whole bunch of mavenised projects, and I want to check that each project has the correct version of a parent pom. One way could be to checkout each project in turn, and then have a script that reads the parent section. Or is these some way of determining this from looking at the repository? Has anyone else had to do something similar? Thanks.

  • ASP.net MVC How to change the Textbox Class upon validation failure?

    - by Harry
I notice in the default MVC template project that the Account registration fields are highlighted via a class change. I can't seem to get the same behavour out of my own code (in the same project - same CSS etc) What might be stopping this from occuring? Update I believe this relates to one of my other questions Because I was having trouble with NullReferenceExceptions I have changed the Html.ValidationMessage fields to have different names than the target fields. So really, I need to resolve this question

  • Java compilation with two versions of Eclipse

    - by lepnio
I've got an old project in Eclipse 2.1 and compiled with a JDK 1.4.2_12. I want to upgrade the version of Eclipse to Eclipse Galileo. I've imported my project and set the compilation level to 1.4 and I've also updated my build path to use the correct JDK. The problem is that when I compare the compiled files in the classes folder in the two versions of Eclipse, the MD5 checksum are different. Should I be worried about that fact or this is normal?

  • Website gives and error " Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework'"

    - by user1465978
I installed VS2010 and NET 4.0 framework and created a simple project. When I uploaded to my server (where I also installed the 4.0 framework), I get this error: Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework' It's coming from this section in the web.config which was auto-generated by VS2010 when I created the project: I've checked and ensure that the application pool for my website on the server is set to "4.0 Integrated". Any feedback on how to get past this error would be appreciated. Thank you!

  • How to set configuration properties in VS once and for all?

    - by atch
In VS 2010RC I have to specify configuration properties and specifically included path every time I'm creating new project. Is there a way to do it just once for all future projects? I'm asking this for a reason that I'm starting to use Boost libraries and I have to specify all those paths every time I'm creating project which is bit tedious.

  • How to filter SVN branch in Hudson's POLL SCM?

    - by Koert
We're using Hudson on an SVN repository that hosts a number of projects. One of these projects takes a long time to build, even if no files were changed. Right now Hudson's "Poll SVN" detects that the subversion repository has changed and will try to build the project, even if that change was in a different project. Is there a way to set up "Poll SCM" to only respond to changes in a certain branch?

  • Time is updating when a form is not even running

    - by onaclov2000
A co-worker of mine had downloaded a vb example project a while back to see how to make a call or two, he discovered it today again, and noticed that while sitting in the IDE the time/date is updating automatically when the entire project is not even running. How does this work, we looked around for code but can't find anything giving it away. Any ideas?

I am trying to show only elements that have the title attribute passed to the function: var selectservice = function(serviceStr) { $j("li.project").hide(); $j("li.project.attr('title').contains(serviceStr)").show(); }; I am not quite sure how to compare the title attribute to the passed string serviceStr? contains doesnt seem to work.

  • The one true domain model - a fallacy?

    - by James L
I've just finished working for a client which has burnt millions on a project to come up with the 'one true domain model' for their business. This was the project's sole deliverable. What are your thoughts on this? Is a single version of the truth realistic?

  • What are the books about Open-Source that everyone interested in should read?

    - by Edu Zamora
Currently I am working and running my first Open-Source project and though I am quite happy how things are working so far, I have the feeling that a lot of things could be done better. So, what books about Open-Source would you recommend me in order to help filling this gap and making things better every day? What are the books that influenced you the most? I am especially interested in: - How to organize and run an Open-Source project - Best practices - Manage and involve users and developers - How to announce and do the releases - Legal issues
