    I still have one semester to finish my MS in Computer Science, and I am already working for a software development company. I took some accounting courses as electives (accounting 1-2 and finance) and I found them interesting and easy. Is it worth it to do CFA? I don't want to change majors, i.e. I still want to be a developer, but would it help if I did CFA?

  • Submit event from few forms

    I have a two or more forms on my page in a row. I'm trying to hook submit event like: $('form',someObj).submit(function(e){ /* Do some stuff with ajax */ return false; }); But always receive events only from a first (by code) form. Also used each() function to bind event for each object, same thing.. What's wrong? Thanks!

  • flash as2: how can i create custom event with parameters ?

I would like to be able to create custom event with parameters and to dispatch them when needed. in as3 i can create a class that extends flash.events.Event, add parameters to it's constructor and then use addEventListener and dispatchEvent where required. how can I do so in ActionScript 2 ? thanks!

  • What is the difference between printf() and puts() in C?

    First up, I should let you know that I am learning C, so my apologies if this question seems stupid to a more advanced developer. I know you can print with printf() and puts(). I can also see that printf() allows you to embed variables inside and do some stuff like formatting. Is puts() merely a primitive version of printf(). Should it be used for every possible printf() without string interpolation? Thanks

    I am writing a networking application using the java.nio api. My plan is to perform I/O on one thread, and handle events on another. To do this though, I need to synchronize reading/writing so that a race condition is never met. Bearing in mind that I need to handle thousands of connections concurrently, is synchronization worth it, or should I use a single thread for I/O and event handling?

  • User control disapear when added to a Panel

    I've got a user control class that works fine, drawing, events firing and the works. When i programmaticly add it to a class that extends from Panel it disapears. I've checked around and the line that makes it disapear is the line where i go panel.Controls.Add(myuserControl). Without that line the control works just fine, does anybody know why it won't show after the add? I'm currently doing the painting of the user control by overriding OnPaint, but the panel is using the default painting.
