    I have two checkboxes with different names: <input type="checkbox" name="checkbox1" value="checkbox1"> <input type="checkbox" name="checkbox2" value="checkbox2"> I'd like to implement code where when checkbox1 is checked, checkbox2 is disabled and when checkbox2 is checked, checkbox1 is disabled. When it's unchecked, it should enable the other back as well. How can I achieve with jQuery or JavaScript?

  • Have a child window be notified when parent window goes to a different page?

    i have a parent window and a child window. in javascript, i want a function in child window to be called whenever the parent window loads a new page. i'd like to use something similar to jQuery's $(document).ready() so that I don't have to worry about whether the parent is done loading yet - but ready() only appears to fire when the window loads the first page - but not when, say, a link is clicked in the parent and it loads a second page. any suggestions? thanks.

    As far as Google searches tell me, the maximum allowed number of cookies depends very much on the browser, however I cannot find any recent data as to how much cookies are allowed on modern browsers. I need to store a somewhat large number of user preferences in cookies (for not-yet-registered users), so what would be the best way of doing that? (Also, those cookies would be accessed both via javascript client-side and php server-side)

I am creating a simple check list form where my user would tick a check box if he finished that step. What I am planning to do is that, the script would prevent the form submission if there is an "unticked" checkbox and highlight it with a color.
