I want to pass a property list of a class to a function. with in the function based on property list I'm going to generate a query. As exactly same functionality in Linq Select method. Here I'm gonna implement this for Ingress Database. I need to parse some large text file and extract Display name and area code only if it matches the following pattern: Line starts with display name (any number of words) Followed by 6 digits (can contain spaces) Followed by #text tag e.g. John doe 123 456 #text some text Display name: John doe Area code: 123 456 Test 123456 #text Display name: Test Area code: 123456 Test 123 #test Invalid, area code contains only 3 digits Test 123456 #test1 Invalid, contains invalid tag Test 123g45 #test Invalid, area code contains letters etc. I know how to open the text file and read it line by line, but having trouble with writing the regular expression. The case of the sneaky backslash - Regex

I'm missing something very obvious here, but I just cant see it. I've got: string input = @"999\abc.txt"; string pattern = @"\\(.*)"; string output = Regex.Match(input,pattern).ToString(); Console.WriteLine(output); My result is: \abc.txt I don't want the slash and cant figure out why it's sneaking into the output. I tried flipping the pattern, and the slash winds up in the output again: string pattern = @"^(.*)\\"; and get: 999\ Strange. The result is fine in Osherove's Regulator. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Joda Time cannot subtract one hour

In my android program, I have a spinner that allows the user to select different times. Each selection is processed with Joda time to subtract the minutes. It works fine for minutes 0 to 59 and 61 and greater. However, when 60 minutes is subtracted, the time is not updated, and the original time is shown. How do I get Joda time to subtract 60 minutes? I am looking for a way to introspect SQLAlchemy ORM classes/entities to determine the types and other constraints (like maximum lengths) of an entity's properties. For example, if I have a declarative class: class User(Base): __tablename__ = "USER_TABLE" id = sa.Column(sa.types.Integer, primary_key=True) fullname = sa.Column(sa.types.String(100)) username = sa.Column(sa.types.String(20), nullable=False) password = sa.Column(sa.types.String(20), nullable=False) created_timestamp = sa.Column(sa.types.DateTime, nullable=False) I would want to be able to find out that the 'fullname' field should be a String with a maximum length of 100, and is nullable. And the 'created_timestamp' field is a DateTime and is not nullable.

I have a question: I need to create a user form that contain that usual OK and Cancel Buttons. It also should contain two sets of Options buttons, each set placed inside a frame. The captions on the first set should be basketball, baseball, football, the captions on the second set should be watch on TV and Go to games. I need to write the event handlers and code in a module so that when the program runs, the user sees the form. If the user makes a couple of choices and clicks OK, he should see a message like "Your favorite sport is basketball, and you usually watch on TV." If the user clicks Cancel, the message "Sorry you don't want to play" should appear. I think I almost have it working, but I don't know why I cannot successfully execute the Macro. Grails: Querying Associations causes groovy.lang.MissingMethodException

Hi, I've got an issue with Grails where I have a test app with: class Artist { static constraints = { name() } static hasMany = [albums:Album] String name } class Album { static constraints = { name() } static hasMany = [ tracks : Track ] static belongsTo = [artist: Artist] String name } class Track { static constraints = { name() lyrics(nullable: true) } Lyrics lyrics static belongsTo = [album: Album] String name } The following query (and a more advanced, nested association query) works in the Grails Console but fails with a groovy.lang.MissingMethodException when running the app with 'run-app': def albumCriteria = tunehub.Album.createCriteria() def albumResults = albumCriteria.list { like("name", receivedAlbum) artist { like("name", receivedArtist) } // Fails here maxResults(1) } Stacktrace: groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: java.lang.String.call() is applicable for argument types: (tunehub.LyricsService$_getLyrics_closure1_closure2) values: [tunehub.LyricsService$_getLyrics_closure1_closure2@604106] Possible solutions: wait(), any(), wait(long), each(groovy.lang.Closure), any(groovy.lang.Closure), trim() at tunehub.LyricsService$_getLyrics_closure1.doCall(LyricsService.groovy:61) at tunehub.LyricsService$_getLyrics_closure1.doCall(LyricsService.groovy) (...truncated...) Preparation of preloaded user data

How do you all actually go about doing that? Currently what we will do is send the excel file to users they will fill in the info and we will use excel concatenation to generate the corresponding SQL scripts I kist thinking if there is any better way
