  When I do a release of my project, I want to share the source with a wider group of people than I normally do during development. The code is shared via a Git repository. To do this, I have used the following: remote public repository - released code is pushed here, every week or so (http://example.com/public) remote private repository - non-release code is pushed here, more than daily (http://example.com/private) In my local git repository, I have the following remotes defined: origin http://example.com/private public http://example.com/public I am currently trying to configure the maven-release-plugin to manage versioning of the builds, and to manage tagging and pushing of code to the public repository. In my pom.xml, I have listed the <scm/ as follows: <scm><connection>scm:git:http://example.com/public</connection></scm> (Removing this line will cause mvn release:prepare to fail) However, when calling mvn release:clean release:prepare release:perform Maven calls git push origin tagname rather than pushing to the URL specified in the POM. So the questions are: Best practice: Should I just be tagging and committing in my private repo (origin), and pushing to public manually? Can I make Maven push to the repository that I choose, rather than defaulting to origin? I felt this was implied by the requirement of the <connection/ element in <scm/.

• Why is my PHP query executing twice on page load?

  I am newish to PHP and I seem to be having an issue with an insert statement that executes twice when I open this page to view a document. In the database the 2nd insert is 1 second later. I am unsure if it is a favicon issue as my upload page uses an insert query and it executes once.   Hello I am running my django project from subfolder of a website. Lets say the address where my project is meant to open from is. http://example.com/myproject/ the myproject folder is root folder for my user account. In that folder i have fcgi script that starts my project. The .htaccess file in the folder contains this: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ mysite.fcgi/$1 [QSA,L] The trouble is, that at some cases, instead of redireting user to page like http://example.com/myproject/social/someurl/ it redirects to http://example.com/social/someurl/ which does not work. What i want to know is how to fix this problem. Is this django problem and i should change it with urconf and add myproject to all urls, or should i do this with .htaccess?   I am having an issue embedding my report into an aspx page. Here's my setup: 1 Server running SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services 1 Workstation running XP and VS 2005 The server is not on a domain. Reporting Services is a default installation. I have one report called TestMe in a folder called TestReports using a shared datasource. If I view the report in Report Manager, it renders fine. If I view the report using the http ://myserver/reportserver url it renders fine. If I view the report using the http ://myserver/reportserver?/TestReports/TestMe it renders fine. If I try to view the report using http ://myserver/reportserver/TestReports/TestMe, it just goes to the folder navigation page of the home directory. My web application is impersonating somebody specific to get around the server not being on a domain. When I call the report from the report viewer using http ://myserver/reportserver as the server and /TestReports/TestMe as the path I get this error: For security reasons DTD is prohibited in this XML document. To enable DTD processing set the ProhibitDtd property on XmlReaderSettings to false and pass the settings into XmlReader.Create method. When I change the server to http ://myserver/reportserver? I get this error when I run the report: Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with an empty response. I have been searching for a while and haven't found anything that fixes my issue. Please let me know if there is more information needed. Thanks in advance, Kendra

I have managed to Rewrite http://www.mysite.com to the real folder public_html/mysite.com/www/ with the following code: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ /mysite.com/www/ [R=301,L] This does successfully load my domain from the subfolder, but the url becomes: http://mysite.com/mysite.com/www/ How can I continue loading requests from http://mysite.com/index.html in the correct folder shown above, without showing it in the client-side url?

My hope is that this might provide a foundation on which community members with better ideas for performing this function, or ideas for enhancing it, can update it. • trouble with utf-8 chars & apache2 rewrite rules

  I see the post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2565864/validating-utf-8-in-htaccess-rewrite-rule and I think that is great, but a more fundamental problem I am having first: I needed to expand to handle utf-8 chars for query string parameters, names of directories, files, and used in displays to users etc. I configured my Apache with DefaultCharset utf-8 and also my php if that matters. My original rewrite rule filtered everything except regular A-Za-z and underscore and hyphen. and it worked. Anything else would give you a 404 (which is what I want!) Now, however it seems that everything matches, including stuff I don't want, however, although it seems to match it doesn't go in the query string unless it is a regular A-Za-z_- character string. I find this confusing, because the rule says put whatever you matched into the query string: Here is the original rule: RewriteRule ^/puzzle/([A-Za-z_-]+)$ /puzzle.php?g=$1 [NC] and here is the revised rule: RewriteRule ^/puzzle/(\w+)$ /puzzle.php?g=$1 [NC] I made the change because somewhere I read that \w matches ALL the alpha chars where as A-Zetc. only matches the ones without accents and stuff. It doesn't seem to matter which of those rules I use: Here is what happens: In the application I have this: echo $_GET['g']; If I feed it a url like http://mydomain.com/puzzle/USA it echoes out "USA" and works fine. If I feed it a url like http://mydomain.com/puzzle/México it echoes nothing for that and warns me that index g is not defined and of course doesn't get resources for Mexico. if I feed it a url like http://mydomain.com/puzzle/fuzzle/buzzle/j.qle it does the same thing. This last case should be a 404! And it does this no matter which of the above rules I use. I configured a rewrite log RewriteLogLevel 5 RewriteLog /opt/local/apache2/logs/puzzles.httpd.rewrite but it is empty. Here is from the regular access log (it gives a status of 200) [26/May/2010:11:21:42 -0700] "GET /puzzle/M%C3%A9xico HTTP/1.1" 200 342 [26/May/2010:11:21:54 -0700] "GET /puzzle/M/l.foo HTTP/1.1" 200 342 What can I do to get these $%#$@(*#@!!! characters but not slash, dot or other non-alpha into my program, and once there, will it decode them correctly??? Would posix char classes work any better? Is there anything else I need to configure?

  Can someone confirm or clarify for me: From what I can tell, JEE web apps consist of a Servlet and/or JSP driven dynamic web page being fed back in the HTTP response, triggered by the JEE server receiving a HTTP GET or POST request. From what I can tell, JEE web services also make use of Servlets as the web tier components, however a WS Servlet receives a SOAP message and validates the contents of those messages with whatever WSDL the Servlet is WARed with. The response is also packaged in SOAP and sent back to the requestor. So, from what I can tell, both JEE web apps and WSes use Servlets as the web components, with the only real difference being the protocol used (raw HTTP vs SOAP, which is an extension of HTTP). This is the best I could come up with - am I right? Totally wrong? Close?

Installation proceeds without and problems and the system runs normally but there is no /plugins directory (on both versions):- \Program Files (x86)\Neo4j Community\ \Program Files (x86)\Neo4j Community\.install4j \Program Files (x86)\Neo4j Community\bin I am trying to install the Spatial plugin .. so I tried creating the \plugins directory.   Using dajngo-multilingual and localeurl. Small sample of my main page view: def main(request): #View for http://www.mysite.com/ name = Dog.objects.all()[0].full_name #this is a translated field return render_to_response("home.html", {"name" : name}) Entering http://www.mysite.com/ redirects me to http://www.mysite.com/ru/ and "name" variable gets russian localization. For now it's ok... But... Entering http://www.mysite.com/en/ shows me same russian loclized variable. During my experiments with debuger I've discovered: request.LANGUAGE_CODE is changing properly according to /en/ or /ru/ url suffix (thanx to localeurl) invoking multilingual.languages.set_default_language() makes "name" variable change loclization The question is: should I change language of django-multilingual to request.LANGUAGE_CODE in each of my view myself, or it must be solved automaticly and I've done something wrong?

Many thanks Update 1 Based on @Peter Wagenet's suggestions below, the form now logs entries or inputs to the console but it doesn't display on the result section of jsfiddle instead what is displayed on jsfiddle result section or page is still this error {"error": "Please use POST request"} ** http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/18/ Update 2 In this fiddle, http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/19/, i have successfully eliminated this error {"error": "Please use POST request"} by adding event.preventDefault(); to the submit action in Todos.TodoFormView. That allows us to use arbitrary view methods as action handlers. The existing issue is that the input to the form, only displays on the console and not on jsfiddle result section, though no error displays on the result section, there is a new error appearing in the console of the updated fiddle: Uncaught Error: Cannot perform operations on a Metamorph that is not in the DOM. Finally solved I needed to comment out App.initialize() for it to work as expected. This the working fiddle ** http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/20/. I don't know why that is so, but my guess is that, App.initialize works with other parts like the router for routing, ApplicationController and ApplicationView with {{outlet}} in the handlebars, which i didn't need for this fiddle. Finally Finally and completely solved This ** http://jsfiddle.net/tQWn8/ works with App.initialize. But you have to declare all those components above and pass the router to App.initialize, like this App..initialize(router). If you don't do this, then you will get the old error Uncaught Error: Cannot perform operations on a Metamorph that is not in the DOM.

• Using httplib2 in python 3 properly? (Timeout problems)

  Hey, first time post, I'm really stuck on httplib2. I've been reading up on it from diveintopython3.org, but it mentions nothing about a timeout function. I look up the documentation, but the only thing I see is an ability to put a timeout int but there are no units specified (seconds? milliseconds? What's the default if None?) This is what I have (I also have code to check what the response is and try again, but it's never tried more than once) h = httplib2.Http('.cache', timeout=None) for url in list: response, content = h.request(url) more stuff... So the Http object stays around until some arbitrary time, but I'm downloading a ton of pages from the same server, and after a while, it hangs on getting a page. No errors are thrown, the thing just hangs at a page. So then I try: h = httplib2.Http('.cache', timeout=None) for url in list: try: response, content = h.request(url) except: h = httplib2.Http('.cache', timeout=None) more stuff... But then it recreates another Http object every time (goes down the 'except' path)...I dont understand how to keep getting with the same object, until it expires and I make another. Also, is there a way to set a timeout on an individual request? Thanks for the help!

  I have an existing journal website with the following url structure http://mysite.com/dbtable_id/ (eg. http://mysite.com/89348/) where 89348 is the primary key id of the journal article. I want to add the title of the article to the url for SEO purposes like http://mysite.com/dbtable_id/article-title (eg. http://mysite.com/89348/hello-world) I like this approach because I don't need to change the PHP code since it will still look up the article by dbtable_id. All I have to do is append url friendly titles to relevant links in template files and add one more rule to a .htaccess file. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Am I following best practices? Will the possibility for mismatch between "dbtable_id" and "article-title" affect SEO?
