  • How do I make these inputs relate to each other?

    - by dmanexe
    I have a series of checkbox inputs and corresponding text area inputs to allow specification of quantity. Here's what the two fields look like when the item is static (i.e. only 1): <input type="checkbox" name="measure[checked][]" value="<?=$item->id?>"> <input type="hidden" name="measure[quantity][]" value="1" /> Here's what the input fields look like for all items that have a specifiable quantity: <input type="checkbox" name="measure[checked][]" value="<?=$item->id?>"> <input class="item_mult" value="0" type="text" name="measure[quantity][]" /> This would play nicely, if within the array, it didn't output like this, after collecting it with: $field = $this->input->post('measure',true); Array ( [quantity] => Array ( [0] => 1 [1] => 1 [2] => 1 [3] => 1 [4] => 1 [5] => 1 [6] => 25 [7] => 0 [8] => 0 [9] => 0 [10] => 1 [11] => 1 [12] => 1 [13] => 1 [14] => 1 [15] => 1 [16] => 1 [17] => 1 [18] => 1 [19] => 1 [20] => 1 [21] => 1 [22] => 0 [23] => 0 [24] => 0 [25] => 0 [26] => 0 [27] => 0 [28] => 0 [29] => 0 [30] => 0 [31] => 0 [32] => 0 [33] => 0 [34] => 0 [35] => 0 [36] => 0 [37] => 0 [38] => 0 [39] => 0 [40] => 0 [41] => 1 [42] => 1 [43] => 1 [44] => 1 [45] => 1 [46] => 1 [47] => 1 [48] => 1 [49] => 1 [50] => 1 [51] => 1 [52] => 0 [53] => 0 [54] => 0 ) [checked] => Array ( [0] => 4 [1] => 6 [2] => 13 ) ) I understand what the values in the checked array are, I just do not understand how to relate the first field to the second, later in the program. How do I incorporate the correct code to relate checked items to quantities?

  • Syntax error, need help with this 'string'

    - by Camran
I have this piece of code here below: $fq.=" + (fritidsboende_uth_from:[$fritids_uth_from TO *] AND fritidsboende_uth_to:[* TO $fritids_uth_to]) OR (fritidsboende_uth_from:'1972-01-01T01:01:00Z' AND fritidsboende_uth_to:'2019-01-01T01:01:00Z')"; I have noticed my app doesn't get anything behind the colon, in this part of the code: OR (fritidsboende_uth_from:'1972-01-01T01:01:00Z' // Notice the colon in the date string I get this error msg: Unrecognized date string: '1972-01-01T01'. Nothing from behind the colon is there though. How should I 'escape' it so that the colon is properly recognized? Its PHP... Thanks

  • Right floated div within a liquid-width div. How do I get this to work?

    - by DavidR
I have a div, within the div is a name in an <h4> tag (it's semantically correct with the layout) and a div with some values describing that <h4> value. I want the nested div to be on the right side, and the only way I can get this to work is a fixed-width container and float: right;. As you can guess, the object breaks when the value of the <h4> causes the nested div to overflow. I've tried min-width, but it ends up stretching to the maximum size of the div containing the container div.

  • How to make a div extend when floating it?

    - by cjmcjm
I'm trying to create a bar with a dynamic horizontal width. The backgrounds are transparent pngs so they can't overlap. I have one for the left side, one to repeat-x across the dynamic width middle and then another bg for the right. Here is kinda what I have so far... .bar{ width: 100%; } .left{ width: 50px; height: 50px; float: left; } .mid{ height: 50px; float: left; } .right{ width: 50px; height: 50px; float: right; } <div class="bar"> <div class="left"></div> <div class="mid"></div> <div class="right"></div> </div> So the main problem is extending the .mid all the way across to meet the right, width: 100% doesn't work. The other problems is what can I do if I have content that needs to overlap the .left and .mid divs? Set up another div and use z-index? Thanks so much!

  • Cell padding within inline CSS

    - by GregH
I have a table within a div (see below). How do I add a right padding of say 30px to each cell/column within the table in that div? My understanding is that I have to use inline CSS? Basically, I want each cell to be padded on the right by 30 pixels. <div id="ddTopMenu";> <table border="0" > <tr> <td width=100></td><td >Dictionary</td><td>Search</td><td>Sources</td><td>References</td> </tr> </table> </div>

  • CSS3PIE issues in IE6 and 8

    - by Gordon
I'm using CSS3PIE to apply some rounded corners to elements in Internet Explorer that will get them by stylesheet in other browsers. I've run into some issues with it though. In IE8, I discovered that any element that had the PIE behaviour would behave strangely. The container would jump a few pixels to the right, but the content would stay in its original position, giving the appearance that the content had all shifted left relative to its container. This would be especially problematic on elements with no or small amounts of padding. I was able to hack my way around the problem in IE8 by using X-UA-Compatible, but I'd rather avoid this solution if at all possible. I don't have access to IE9 for testing but my understanding hacks like PIE aren't necessary and it would be wasteful to force a compatibility mode in a browser that doesn't need it. I have worse issues in IE6, with the PIE layout breaking down completely on a list that is set up to use display:inline; zoom:1; list items (to simulate inline-block, which works in IE8 and the other browsers). Here the borders of the list items get rendered in completely the wrong place. So ideally, I'd like to have PIE work properly in IE6, and in IE8 without having to resort to compatibility mode. As far as IE6 goes, a graceful fallback where PIE is just not applied will do. IE7 is the only browser where the page displays as intended. I can't provide an example page just at the moment unfortunately, I can add one later though. Follow up: Here are some screen grabs made with IE Tester. I'm hoping they will make things a little more clear for everybody. As you can see, IE7 is fine. However, in IE8, the containers are offset to the left relative to their content, and in IE6 the list elements (with the rounded 1 pixel border) are a complete mess! Full size versions for IE8, IE7 and IE6 are also available

  • How to access a website's url programmatically from within the page

    - by Jeff
For work, I am working on a site that has a feature that lets users make custom instances of the site depending on who they want to show it to. So if they want to show their potential employer a little bit about themselves, they can send them a custom url, that has a uid on the end of it that tells the database what to show and what not to when the site is loaded up. Now, I need to be able to take the value that is on the end of the url, this unique uid that corresponds with their preferences in the db, accessable on run time. Meaning that when someone types in this custom url, I need to be able to show the name of the person whose portfolio is being viewed BEFORE password authentication takes place... If I could get the URL, I suppose I could parse through it to find the necessary UID...but how do I get the url? Maybe I am just missing something here, but if anyone has any thoughts or ideas, it would be appreciated!! Thanks

  • Elegant Disjunctive Normal Form in Django

    - by Mike
Let's say I've defined this model: class Identifier(models.Model): user = models.ForeignKey(User) key = models.CharField(max_length=64) value = models.CharField(max_length=255) Each user will have multiple identifiers, each with a key and a value. I am 100% sure I want to keep the design like this, there are external reasons why I'm doing it that I won't go through here, so I'm not interested in changing this. I'd like to develop a function of this sort: def get_users_by_identifiers(**kwargs): # something goes here return users The function will return all users that have one of the key=value pairs specified in **kwargs. Here's an example usage: get_users_by_identifiers(a=1, b=2) This should return all users for whom a=1 or b=2. I've noticed that the way I've set this up, this amounts to a disjunctive normal form...the SQL query would be something like: SELECT DISTINCT(user_id) FROM app_identifier WHERE (key = "a" AND value = "1") OR (key = "b" AND value = "2") ... I feel like there's got to be some elegant way to take the **kwargs input and do a Django filter on it, in just 1-2 lines, to produce this result. I'm new to Django though, so I'm just not sure how to do it. Here's my function now, and I'm completely sure it's not the best way to do it :) def get_users_by_identifiers(**identifiers): users = [] for key, value in identifiers.items(): for identifier in Identifier.objects.filter(key=key, value=value): if not identifier.user in users: users.append(identifier.user) return users Any ideas? :) Thanks!

  • Javascript: Remove checked status from disabled input (already checked)

    - by BoDiE2003
Im trying to make this function to check an element and if its checked, or not, add or remove respective className. Also, if the element is disabled but is checked, it should un-check it and remove the className('yes') function init() { $(document.body).select('input').each(function(element) { if (!element.checked) { element.up().removeClassName('yes'); } else { element.up().addClassName('yes'); } if (element.checked && element.disabled) { element.checked = false; element.up().removeClassName('yes') } }); } Right now, the last part, is not working, no effect

  • Floating images with multiple sizes in CSS

    - by Jamie Chapman
I'm wanting to be able to create a banner of floating images based on what are uploaded via users. The tool needs to have images of 50x50 and 100x100. At the moment, I just want to randomly display the images and tried to apply float:left. However, as you can see below - it leaves gaps. Is there an easy way to do this without programatically positioning the images? If you want the code so far, it's here: .wall { width: 300px; background-color: red; display: table; } .wall img { float: left; } and <div class="wall"> <img src="man1.png" alt=""/> <!-- ETC... !--> </div>

  • Radiobuttons and jQuery

    - by SnowJim
    Hi, I have the following radiobuttons rendered in MVC : <div class="radio" id="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd"> <input checked="checked" id="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd_Ad" name="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd.SelectedValue" type="radio" value="Ad" /> <label for="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd_Ad">Annons</label><br> <input id="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd_Auktion" name="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd.SelectedValue" type="radio" value="Auktion" /> <label for="ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd_Auktion">Auktion</label><br> </div> Now I need to hide the id=divEndDate element based on the value on the radiogroup. I have tried this : $(document).ready(function () { $("#TypeOfAd_Auktion").click(function () { if ($(this).checked) { $("divEndDate").css("visibility", "visible"); } else { $("divEndDate").css("visibility", "hidden"); } }); $("#ModelViewAd.TypeOfAd_Ad").click(function () { if ($(this).checked) { $("divEndDate").css("visibility", "hidden"); } else { $("divEndDate").css("visibility", "visible"); } }); }); Now one of these are triggered when switching between the radio buttons? How to solve this?
