• Jquery datePicker

  I have slight issue with the jquery datepicker in that it displays ABOVE the target box. This is due to the way my page is set up. I found the issue with CSS in my page via firebug, unfortunately it conflicts with about 20 elements. Next I tried hooking into the "beforeShow event" which works but then after the event fires it just recalculates and puts it where ever it wants. beforeShow: function() { $('#ui-datepicker-div').show(); var offset = $('#ui-datepicker-div').offset(); $('#ui-datepicker-div').css({ top: (offset.top + 222) + 'px' }) } Does anyone else have any ideas how how I can reposition this? I just need to move it down by about 200 odd pixels.

  I have the code: import os import sys fileList = os.listdir(sys.argv[1]) for file in fileList: if os.path.isfile(file): print "File >> " + os.path.abspath(file) else: print "Dir >> " + os.path.abspath(file) Located in my music folder ("/home/tom/Music") When I call it with: python test.py "/tmp" I expected it to list my "/tmp" files and folders with the full path. But it printed lines like: Dir >> /home/tom/Music/seahorse-gw2jNn Dir >> /home/tom/Music/FlashXX9kV847 Dir >> /home/tom/Music/pulse-DcIEoxW5h2gz This is, the correct file names, but the wrong path (and this files are not either in my Music folder).. What's wrong with this code?

• Best blogging tool to integrate into an existing website

  Hi all, I'm looking for an easy way to integrate a blog into a website that I've developed with HTML and CSS and have already put a considerable amount of time and effort into. I've looked at WordPress, Movable Type, b2evolution, and a few others, but they all seem like overkill for me. I'm only going to be posting 1 maybe 2 times a week at most. Plus, all of the aforementioned tools seem hard to customize. I want my blog to look like the rest of my website, but I don't want to rebuild my site based on one of the blogging tools. Because, as I said before, I've already spent a lot of time rebuilding the site using HTML and CSS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

• How to convert thousands of PDF files to a single Postscript file in a specified order

  I've discovered multiple options for convert a few to serveral PDFs into Postscript, but many are command-line programs with command-line limitations (this application lives on .NET). Our application generates tens-of-thousands of PDFs that we need to send to a printer, except BEFORE the Postscript is printed we need to edit the Postscript to insert print command instructions (duplex, tray-pulls, highlight color, etc.) I think a perfect solution might allow us to write the PDFs to a stream, and simultaneously allow us to read the output stream so we may edit the Postscript before writing it to a file. Of course, if I must create the file first containing all 10,000 PDFs and edit it in an additional pass, I'm OK with that, too. I should mention that speed is important. I need to print 10,000 at a time, but need to keep the printers busy 24-hours/day.

  Hi, I am creating a lightweight, single-file database administration tool and I would like to bundle some small icons with it. What is the best way to embed images in a HTML/PHP file? I know a method using PHP where I would call the same file with a GET parameter that would output hardcoded binary data with the correct header, but that seems a bit complicated. Can I use something to pass the image directly in a CSS background-image declaration? This would allow me to utilize the CSS sprite technique. Browser support isn't an issue here, so more exotic methods are welcome also. EDIT Does someone have a link/example to how to generate Data URL's properly with PHP? I'd figure echo 'data:image/png;base64,'.base64_encode(file_get_contents('image.png')) would suffice but I could be wrong.

  Hi, I want to scrape data from www.marktplaats.nl . I want to analyze the scraped description, price, date and views in Excel/Access. I tried to scrape data with Ruby (nokogiri, scrapi) but nothing worked. (on other sites it worked well) The main problem is that for example selectorgadget and the add-on firebug (Firefox) don’t find any css I can use to scrape the page. On other sites I can extract the css with selectorgadget or firebug and use it with nokogiri or scrapi. Due to lack of experience it is difficult to identify the problem and therefore searching for a solution isn’t easy.   Frankly, I'm flummoxed.   I've got a string: (notice the spacing) eh oh 37 and I want it to become: eh oh 36 (so I want to keep the spacing) Using awk I don't find how to do it, so far I have: echo "eh oh 37" | awk '$3>=0&&$3<=99 {$3--} {print}' But this gives: eh oh 36 (the spacing characters where lost, because the field separator is ' ') Is there a way to ask awk something like "print the output using the exact same field separators as the input had"? Then I tried with sed, but got stuck after this: echo "eh oh 37" | sed -e 's/\([0-9][0-9]\)/.../' Can I do arithmetic from sed using a reference to the matching digits and have the output not modify the number of spacing characters? Note that it's related to my question concerning Emacs and how to apply this to some (big) Emacs region (using a replace region with Emacs's shell-command-on-region) but it's not an identical question: this one is specifically about how to "keep spaces" when working with awk/sed/etc.

  How do I initialize a 2d array in perl? I am trying the following code: 0 use strict; 10 my @frame_events = (((1) x 10), ((1) x 10)); 20 print "$frame_events[1][1]\n"; but it gives the following error: Can't use string ("1") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at ./dyn_pf.pl line 20. This syntax only seems to initialize a 1d array as print "$frame_events[1]\n" works. Though perl doesn't give any error during the assignment.
