    Hi, sfGuardUser model of sfDoctrineGuardPlugin is defined this way: sfGuardUser: actAs: [Timestampable] columns: id: type: integer(4) primary: true autoincrement: true username: type: string(128) notnull: true unique: true As you can see 'username' has the feature "notnull:true". Now i want to create a register form that is not using 'username' but the email address of the user.   • Finding records when using has_many through associations

    I have two models, Worker and Project, and they are connected with has_many through association. I manage to find all the projects which are related to a specific worker by writing the following code: worker=Worker.find_by_id("some_id") worker.projects but I want the projects that I get to be only active projects (in the project model I have a status field) I tried to do something like worker.projects(:status_id=>'active') but it didn’t work for me. Can somebody tell me how I can do this?

I have been using the following steps: Obtaining Release Public Map API Key 1.Obtain Private Key: Use Export of Eclipse to sign release application and create new keystore 2.Obtain MD5 certificate: using alias and keystore set up use keytool in Java directory: keytool -list -alias poly_alias -keystore copy MD5 certificate 3.Obtain API Map Key: Visit http://code.google.com/android/maps-api-signup.html and enter MD5 certificate copy key 4.Use New Map API Key: insert new map key for string in strings.xml for string mapApiKey Does anyone have any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

  • Selecting favourites from DB rails 3

    I have a small app which has Users, Recipes, Ingredients and preparation models A user has many recipes, recipes belong to user and ingredients/preparation belongs to recipes. Now a user can view all recipes but I would like the option to add the particular recipe to a favourites list. Would I need to set a new DB to hold this and then link by associations or could I add a column to the recipe model called fav for example? Im looking for the best practice here or if someone has done this before and can offer any advice that would be appreciated

  • Using git-svn (or similar) just to help out with svn merge?

    Some complex subversion merges are coming up in my project: big branches that have been apart for a long time. Svn gives too many conflicts. Would it be any good to use git-svn just for the benefit of making the merge more manageable?   • WPF/INotifyPropertyChanged, change the value of txtA, the txtB and txtC should change automatically?

    I supposed, once i change the value of txtA, the txtB and txtC would change automatically, since i have implemented INotifyPropertyChanged for ValueA. But they were not updated on UI. txtB was always 100, and txtC was always -50. I don't know what's the reason.     I am considering doing a project which would provide unified API and tools (import/export, etc.) for object databases (e.g. Caché, Objectivity) for .NET. It would provide: schema generation from CLR classes, generation of C# classes from given OODBMs schema, API for deleting, creating and updating objects, Linq provider, API for calling object's methods on DB server, some of OODBMs provide some kind of SQL support, so API for this, providers for Caché and Objectivity in first phase. Does any project which implements any of above exist? Can this be achieved with NHibernate dialects? or are OODBMs so different than RDBMs that it worth doing separate framework for them?
