    Does anyone know of a library that enables you to run an application inside some kind of sandbox, with virtual mouse and keyboard support. The use case would be to create some kind of visual test runner, that would replay all actions taken during recording and play them back. So far I found autopy, but the fact that it controls the real mouse position is problematic, because it prevents user interaction with other tools (debugger or anything) while running. Cross platform would be nice, but either windows or os x is fine. Python would be ideal but anything that you could create python bindings for would be ok too.

    I'm unsure what the proper way is to access parts of the requested URL. In this case, I want to get the requested path without the query variables. This is the only way I found to do it: String path = getRequest().getResourceRef().getHostIdentifier() + getRequest().getResourceRef().getPath(); The result would be the bold part of this url: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/ask?query=value I also found about 6 different ways to get the server name (http://stackoverflow.com) but I'm worried that some of them would fail in certain cases that I am unaware of (why would there be 6 different ways to do one thing): getRequest().getHostRef().getHostIdentifier(); getRequest().getHostRef().getIdentifier(); getRequest().getRootRef().getHostIdentifier(); getRequest().getRootRef().getIdentifier(); getRequest().getResourceRef().getHostIdentifier(); And this seems to get the complete URL with query parameters: getRequest().getResourceRef().getIdentifier(); Any further explanation would be much appreciated.

    Thank you for looking at my question, as I appreciate your time. Okay, so I'm trying to use jQuery's get function to call my php script which ultimately returns a variable which is a built template of the main content of my page minus my static header/footer, for which I would like to replace the "old" page content without the page reloading. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I'm going wrong here?     I have a situation where clicking a link in one column on the datatable opens A update FORM in the same page. The problem is when I hit the submit button for update, the render is set to false again of that update panel which was previously set true by parameter passed clicking the link. I tried htmlhiddenInput and did setValue and getvalue but the value is lost. Is there any way I can save that parameter send from link, when clicked, even after submitting the form. I achieved it doing session but I dont wanna use session. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    Is there a difference between foo and bar: class A { Object __o; void foo(Object& o) { __o = o; } void bar(Object o) { __o = o; } } As I understand it, foo performs no copy operation on object o when it is called, and one copy operation for assignment. Bar performs one copy operation on object o when it is called and another one for assignment. So I can more or less say that foo uses 2 times less memory than bar (if o is big enough). Is that correct ? Is it possible that the compiler optimises the bar function to perform only one copy operation on o ? i.e. makes __o pointing on the local copy of argument o instead of creating a new copy?

  • Differences between how OS X Snow Leopard and Lion interface with a proxy?

    We have a proxy at school, which requires a login/password, and blocks a certain number of sites that aren't "school related" (facebook, youtube, etc.) While I'm able to get through to most things, people who've upgraded to Lion can't get through to anything, even though I've replicated my proxy/network settings on their machines. Is it possible that the difference in OS versions is causing this? I have Snow Leopard, they have Lion.
