Anywho at the moment we have a static countdown page http://mybase.co , and were having a massive launch this weekend and the site needs to go live when we launch, it's a rails app..     I have a NSTableView that is displaying an array of objects I have. For each of these objects (rows) I would like to change the color of the text displayed depending on the results of a function I run on each object; So for example all the object in the table that exist in another list (or some other requirement) I want to display them in green text, and objects that don't exist display in red. How would I go about doing this?

    When you go to Lists, and Create. I'd like to show the "Custom Lists" column only to specific group. I don't want the users to be able to create Web Pages, Document Libs .. etc But I'm not able to see how, I tried to create a custom group and edit permission level, but I cant find where exactly. does enabling "Create" to specific group opens all settings inside that you can't eliminate certain settings from showing to this group?.

    I'm trying to write a method that uses recursion to print the string formed by "interleaving" the strings str1 and str2. In other words, it should alternate characters from the two strings: the first character from str1, followed by the first character from str2, followed by the second character from str1, followed by the second character from str2, etc. How would I go about this? What I want to do go through all .productlistname and truncate the text and replace the current text with the truncated version. Here is what I have so far: $(".productlistname a").html($(".productlistname a").html().substring(0,10)); This just truncate the first one and replaces the rest of .productlistname with the truncated version of the first one.

  • Is document.links faster in finding a link using jQuery?

    Is this faster: $(document.links).filter('a.someClass') than just plain old this: $('a.someClass') ? I don't see anywhere in jQuery's code the utilization of document.links which gives you the collection of links on the document right away, than, it would seem, it would be faster to just filter in the collection instead of all the DOM nodes, which is alot more nodes to go over.

    I have huge amounts of data populating an HTML <table> having more than 200 rows and 200 columns. However, when i scroll the page horizontally or vertically to view the data, the header columns (like th for instance) go beyond the page. How can i scroll through the table and still keep the top row and leftmost column fixed so that i will always know what data im seeing.
