    Hey, What's the easiest way to perform an FQL query from an ASP.NET application? Do I have to download the Facebook Developer Toolkit (which I only want to use as a last resort), or is there an easier way (maybe through javascript)? I'm not doing any heavy queries if that makes a difference. (I simply want to get the user's profile picture URL from my site. It might not even need FQL?) Thanks for any suggestions

  • problem with window.close and chrome

    Im trying to close a child window with javascript and in firefox everything works fine but in chrome the window doesnt close here is what im using $(document).ready(function() { if (window.opener && !window.opener.closed) window.opener.location = "http://www.website.com" window.close(); }); I tried a suggestion on google, but to no avail. Anyone having a similar issue or know of a work-around?

    Hi What is the recommended way to transfer files via FTP and manage (rename, move, delete) files in an FTP server programmatically in a Windows Scripting Host script file (JavaScript/VBScript)? Preferably without requiring 3rd party ActiveX add-ons since these "extra" software will need to go through an approval process that will take a very long time, even for free (as in beer) and/or open source components. The script is going to be run in a Windows 2003 Server in data center environment. Thanks.

Basically if I write: foreach (ListItem item in items) { item.Text = "something"; } I want it to appear in the correct colours like it does in my Visual Studio or here at stack*overflow*. I'm bored of styling the colours of each key word manually. Is there a pre-existing javascript library I can use?

  • AddThis share button wont work in DotNetNuke

    For some reason when I add a HTML module (well the default module added to DNN 5.4) and then add the "AddThis" javascript. While the button shows up clicking on it opens up a new page rather than showing an iframe modal message or on hover a list of popular social media networks to share the page with. Wonder what would be the easiest way to resolve this and why this happens?

    I like the way Doxygen combines with Graphviz dot to generate function caller graphs. I'd like this functionality for other languages as well, apart from the basics that Doxygen supports (C++, C, Java, Objective-C, Python, VHDL, PHP, C#). I'm currently interested in JavaScript, ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 3/Flex but am looking for ways or tools that have a wider language support than Doxygen. Is there any way to get function caller graphs for any other languages?

    When we apply $().dialog() in an object, jquery-ui puts it inside a <div class="ui-dialog ui-widget">, with a <div class="ui-dialog-titlebar ui-widget-header"> before it. After the creation of this dialog around the main object, how can we get that ui-dialog object so that we can execute other JavaScript commands in it? The best I could do was use .parent(".ui-dialog") in the main object, is there a better way to do it?

  • Dynamically inserted input elements not showing up in ActionResult's FormCollection parameter

    I am adding input elements to a view, dynamically, using JavaScript. But I am unable to find those inputs in my ActionResult's FormCollection parameter...: public ActionResult Del(FormCollection fc) I am able to find static input elements in the View. And using FireBug in Mozilla FireFox, I can see that the inputs are inside of the form element, in the DOM, and are not floating around somewhere random. How can I access these inputs?

The problem is, this is causing both YSlow and the Web Developer extension report the size of my files as ~.04K, which I know can't be right (one of the .js files is jquery, which is 50kb). Is there any way to accurately figure out how much time I've saving by using Reducisaurus?

    Hi all, I have an aspx page which has some javascript code like <script> setTimeout("document.write('" + place.address + "');",1); </script> As it is clear from the code it will going to write something on the page after a very short delay of 1 ms. I have created an another page to get the page executed by some query string and get its output.     I'm using YUI 2's calendar in YUI 3. I want to make a few minor changes to the default sam skin. What is the best way to do that? Also, how does it load Sam's skin CSS? I didn't manually include it (though it seems like I should so the user can download it in the one request I make to the combo loader for css?). The main problem I'm having is that it seems to dynamically load the Sam's skin, so any CSS I specify in my stylesheet or in the <head> section seem to be overridden. I can modify the style by getting the nodes and using YUI's Node.setStyle() method, but this doesn't seem like the best way to do things. Note: The script does include more than I need for just YUI 2's calendar, but that's because I use YUI 3 for other things irrelevant to this question.
