    Hi, I have a script and I'm almost done but I get this error and frankly I have no idea what is wrong here. I'm rather new to Javascript so I suspect I did something wrong in the syntax somewhere.   • Changing gmail Settings with Ruby

    I need to configure my gmail account(s) programmatically with Ruby. I checked out the apps api and it looks like the simplest possible solution would be to use ClientLogin for logging in and a simple XML PUT for changing the forwarding setting, for example. I wrote a little test script like so: http://gist.github.com/373457 It would appear that the call to ClientLogin works because it comes back with an Auth= token. When it sends the PUT request to google, however, it comes back with a RestClient::Unauthorized exception. I rewrote the script with pure net/https and it turns out the message I'm getting is invalid token, yet I can't figure out what is wrong with my token. Can anyone else see it?

  • How can I kill MySQL queries every 60 seconds in Windows?

    I want to check my MySQL server every minute and kill queries that have run longer than 150 seconds. The main reason I want to do this is because I don't want queries from certain people to lock up the DB for everyone else. I know this is not the ultimate solution to the problem, but at least it's a fallback in case something goes wrong with a query. I don't have a slave DB (this is just an at-home project). I'd like to schedule a script to run that does this for me. I'm unfamiliar with Perl or Ruby and I need it done on my Windows 2008 Server box. I've looked into creating a simple cmd line script, but that doesn't seem to be possible. I know currently I can do something like this but I have to do it manually: mysqladmin processlist mysqladmin kill Anyone have any ideas or examples on how I could do this?

  • jquery not working in mvc after publishing to server

    Hello, I've built an mvc application which contains some jquery code. When I run the app from my ide, everything works perfectly. When I publish to the server and open the page, the jquery does not work. I get object expected errors. Could this be due to my file mappings? here is a sample of my mapping in the app - <script type="text/javascript" href="../../Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.js"></script> I published the app to iis7 successfully, but the jquery is broken. I did publish to an application within an existing web site. Any thoughts?

  • creating existing users on AWS when they don't have a group

    It seems when chef creates a user with the id of "foobar" it also creates a group with the id of "foobar". AWS doesn't do that. So, when I run my create users script via Opsworks it blows up on the first user that already exists because the group doesn't. I thought there was a way to say create the user but not the group, but I can't find it. What's the best way to solve this problem? Can I: Tell chef to not create the user's group? Tell chef to create it if the user exists but the group doesn't? Write a script that finds the existing users and creates groups for them? Something else?

My batchfile looks like this (I've removed the non-essentials) set updatepath=%1 set solution=%2 set output=%3.txt call TortoiseProc.exe /command:update /path:%updatepath% /closeonend:2 call %devenv% %solution% /Build Debug /Out %output% Now, I'd like to know if tortoise actually got new code for me and the not build if it didn't. How do I do this? I am running Windows Vista (The batch script is called from another batch script about 7 times - one for each project I need updated and - perhaps - build).

    I'm writing a PHP script to generate SQL dumps from my database for version control purposes. It already dumps the data structure by means of running the appropriate SHOW CREATE .... query. Now I want to dump data itself but I'm unsure about the best method. My requirements are: I need a record per row Rows must be sorted by primary key SQL must be valid and exact no matter the data type (integers, strings, binary data...) Dumps should be identical when data has not changed I can detect and run mysqldump as external command but that adds an extra system requirement and I need to parse the output in order to remove headers and footers with dump information I don't need (such as server version or dump date). I'd love to keep my script as simple as I can so it can be hold in an standalone file. What are my alternatives?

    I have a SVG file that I want to extend by adding onclick handlers to edges and nodes. I also want to add a script tag referring to a JavaScript. The problem is that the script tag gets an empty namespace attribute added to it. I haven't found any information regarding this that I understand. Why does XSLT add an empty namespace?     I have a huge plain text document, about 700kb which is very big for plain texts and I need to format it on cloud converting it to HTML, but the only things that I need to replace, format to HTML so it can be displayed by the browser, are bold and italic. For bold at the plain text they are like this: Not on bold... **bold text here** not bold here And italic like this: Not italic... *italic text* no italic Just like StackOverflow does for their formatting, but the problem is that I need to make it a lot faster, since the text is so big... One of my ideas was to add a page slide, so I the script just need to format some part of the text, not it all, then after the user changes the page the script would be called again, but the problem is how I can make the code for this all?

    there are strange characters at the beginning of a file I'm editing (using textmate..) I don't know when they appeared, they're invisible in textmate but my script that reads the file goes crazy.. this is the first few chars in the file (as seen with od command): 0000000 177377 000120 000105 000117 000120 000114 000105 000072 the first 2 shouldn't be there I think.. maybe they were caused by some strange dropbox sync? Or something else.. but they tend to reappear (I don't yet know when..) My question: what is that 177377 and a simple way to remove it in my ruby script? thanks

Here's my current setting : MEDIA_ROOT = os.path.normpath( '/home/budzyk/rails/fandrive/site_media/' ) templates setting work on the other hand : TEMPLATE_DIRS = ( "/home/budzyk/rails/fandrive/templates", ) Catalog with media files is ../fandrive/site-media/ so why it's not working ?   • php - efficent way to get and remove first line in file

    Hello, I have a script that each time is called gets the 1st line of a file. Each line is known to be exactly of the same length (32 alphanumerci chars) and terminates with a "\r\n". After getting the 1st line, the script removes it. Now I do in this way: $contents = file_get_contents($file)); $first_line = substr($contents, 0, 32); file_put_contents($file, substr($contents, 32 + 2)); //+2 because we remove also the \r\n Obvioulsy it works, but I was wondering if there could be a smarter (or more efficent) way to do this??? In my simple solution I basically read and rewrite all the file just to take and remove the 1st line. Thanks!

I'm running in to some other cross-compatibility issues as well with the margin spacing so I'm not even sure this is the best way to go about this. Obviously it'd be great if I could just begin with the div as display:hidden and then animate it to visible, but I haven't been able to do that. Any input is appreciated, either with advice on how to save the margin after form submission, or suggestion on better method to achieve this hide/reveal. Thanks, Brian

Later, I changed the JQuery source link to be: http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.2.js I refreshed the web page, and I could saw the returned value then.

Although, I can use alternate means to get all elements of my current PS1, I would really like to be able to reuse its definition instead of using these alternate means.     Hi all, question: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $(".module .caption").hide(); $(".module").hover(function() { $(this).find(".caption").slideDown(); },function() { $(this).find(".caption").slideUp(); }); }); </script> This snippet works great for my purposes, the only caveat is that I need the .module hover function to simultaneously add a class of "under" to all other ".caption"'s that are not $this, and then remove them when the hover ends. So basically I don't want the "module" that is hovered to get the class, I want it to do exactly what I am showing here...sliding .caption up and down on end hover, I just want all other ".caption"s to get the under class when any ".module" is hovered. Just hitting a dead end with what I have been trying, want to do it in the same function. Any ideas?
