  • Objective C number keypad, custom comma button

    I'm trying to add a comma button on a number keypad that has previous, next and done buttons, so that it looks like this : Problem is, that the orange button does not respond to taps. Actually if I moved it above the "7" button and tapped it, the 7 would be tapped. So my orange button may be shown above the keyboard, but it's reacting to taps as if it were below.     Hi: Now I have to handle some xml in my java swing application. I have to build a swing ui according to the special schema ,then user can fill some values.After user completed,I will collect the information,validate the value and then build a xml file. For building xml file I can use the xmlbeans,however how to parse the schema and build a swing ui? Since the schema is rather complex. A schema can be found here: example schema I have to parser this schema,for the LiteralInputType ,a JTextArea should be built. However there are other types "complexType" and etc.. These types may not occur at the sametime. Some times only the LiteralInputType is needed,somethimes the ComplexType is needed,also maybe all of them are needed. So, how to implement it? Anyone can help me?

    I am developing an application which runs on both honeycomb and ice cream sandwich. I want my action bar not to have the icon but keep the "up/home" button. I used: getActionBar().setDisplayOptions(0, ActionBar.DISPLAY_SHOW_HOME); This removes the action bar icon but keeps the "up" button on ice cream sandwich. But on honeycomb, it removes the "up" button as well. Is there a way on honeycomb that allows me to keep the "up" button but get rid of the icon?

  • Get settings through a button action

    I am looking for a way to access user settings (I assume, NSUserDefaults?) through a button action. Let me back up and explain. What I have right now are 2 TextFields a label and a button. The user will type in measurements in the 2 TextFields. When they hit the button the label displays the volume of the measured object in Gallons. That part of it works great. Then I wanted to give the user options to output the volume in Liters instead of gallons. I would also like to give the user options to type in the measurements in Centimeters. So I setup a 'Settings.Bundle' and configured it with 2 'Multi Value' cells (Measurement units and Volumetric Units). Each Multi Value cell has its own list of different units the user can pick from. My main issue is I don't know how to access these settings through the button action. I may be thinking of this wrong, but what I'm looking for is something like; Button Action If settings key = 0 Then do the math in Inches, Display in Gallons If settings key = 1 Then do the math in Centimeters, Display in Gallons If settings key = 2 Then do the math in Inches, Display in Liters If settings key = 3 Then do the math in Centimeters, Display in Liters Etc... Is this possible? Am I thinking of this in the wrong way? What's the best way to do this?

    I'm trying to implement a simple api request to the SEOmoz linkscape api. It works if I only use the php file but I want to do an ajax request using jquery to make it faster and more user friendly. Here is the javascript code I'm trying to use: $(document).ready(function(){ $('#submit').click(function() { var url=$('#url').val(); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "api_sample.php", data: url, cache: false, success: function(html){ $("#results").append(html); } }); }); }); And here is the part of the php file where it takes the value: $objectURL = $_POST['url']; I've been working on it all day and can't seem to find the answer... I know the php code works as it returns a valid json object and displays correctly when I do it that way. I just can't get the ajax to show anything at all!!

  • Misplaced Layout after "home"-button and/or powersave screen

    Hi, I have an app which also includes a service with a Notification. Right now I am experiencing the foillowing problem : I start my app which will work fine after couple of minutes the powersave kicks in and I get a black screen I (or hte user) click the Menu-button to dismiss the black screen and to unlock the screenlock Now my (fullscreen) app will have "moved" like 30-40 pixels downwards, creating an ugly black border or hole. When I move the scrollwheel it will move up and down, and when I press the Menu button (showing my ap''s menu) it will "fix" the view... or I start my app which will work fine I press the Home button exiting the app, my service though will (correctly) keep running when selecting my service from the notification-bar I will get once again : -Now my (fullscreen) app will have "moved" like 30-40 pixels downwards, creating an ugly black border or hole. When I move the scrollwheel it will move up and down, and when I press the Menu button (showing my ap''s menu) it will "fix" the view... Any idea what the problem is ? The app is running on a ADP2 with Android 1.6 Thanks in advance ! Ok, after some testing I noticed that if I don't run the Activity on Fullscreen, but just leave the TtileBar away this won't happen... Still this is no solution to me, I want it to be fullscreen... Noticed siomething else, when I have the View with the black bar, and I press the home button it will "refresh" the View correctly just before actually going to the Home Screen :(

    Hy, I got an intersting problem which I stumbled upon. When I double click a label in a JLabel I want to add another button in a JPanel, its a shorter way to make a dragg and drop. The problem is that the button doesn't appears only if i'll position the mouse on the area the button should appear. Why does it happens this way? Anyone got a clue? I'm wondering if I'm handling this correctly? Do I need to encode the value in the AJAX call? And why does it show up after another button click and not original button click that calls this event?
