  I manipulated some data from MySQL and the resulting dictionary "data" (print data) displays something like this : {'1': ['1', 'K', abc, 'xyz', None, None, datetime.date(2009, 6, 18)], '2': ['2', 'K', efg, 'xyz', None, None, None, None], '3': ['3', 'K', ijk, 'xyz', None, None, None, datetime.date(2010, 2, 5, 16, 31, 2)]} How do I create a table and insert these values in a MySQL table? In other words, how do I dump them to MySQL or CSV? Not sure how to deal with datetime.date and None values. Any help is appreciated.

  The question comes from MS Outlook calendar behavior. Imagine I have two recurring events (starting from today): "each second Monday" and "every odd date". Is there any way to check intersections and/or find the first intersecting date algorithmically without brute-forcing over each date? Definitions can be made in CRON's notations or ICal notation. I think it doesn't matter. Are there any solutions for this in Gregorian calendar?

If no matches are found, I want to be able to return a value indicating where it failed. Each input param has a corresponding field in the table. • How to control Time zone formatting in System.Xml.Serialization or during application execution?

  I'm developing a C# .Net Application that is executing on a system located in the Central Time Zone. The application gets information from a third party using an API they provide. I have used the WSDL to produce the code that my application access the API with...their reporting API allows you to define a start date and end date for the report. These are C# DateTime fields and XSD:dateTime. Now when I set the start date and end dates and allow the API to create the SOAP messages the dates don't always include a Time Zone unless I set the date fields using the ToLocalTime method; however, the method will create the DateTime fields in the Central Time Zone (CST) but I need to have it create these fields in the Pacific Time Zone (PST). If I set my machine time to PST all is good...but of course that causes other time issues. What methods can I use to control the formatting of the DateTime? Alternatively, is there a application setting that can be set in C# that allows timezone control?

This is a screen grab of the code producing exactly the desired behavior. • Query Only Specified Number Of Items From Parent/Child Categories

  I'm having trouble figureing out how to query every item in a certain category and only list the newest 10 items by date. Here is my table layout: download_categories category_id (int) primary key title (var_char) parent_id (int) downloads id (int) primary key title (var_char) category_id (int) date (date) I need to query every file in a main category that lets say has 100 items and 5 child categories and only spit out the last 10 added. I have functions right now that just add up all the files so I can get a count by category, but I can't seem to modify the code to only display a certain amount of items based on the date.

  Hi all, this must be quite simple but I am having great difficulty. You see I am trying to find a string within another string as follows. e = input.indexOf("-->"); s = input.indexOf("<!--"); input = input.replace(input.substring(s, e + 3), " "); The integers e and s are returning -1 in that it was not found and this is causing the replace method to fail. The test string I am using is "Chartered Certified<!--lol--> Accountants (ACCA)". I tried to creat a new string object and pass in the string as an argument as follows e=input.indexOf(new String("<!--")); This yielded the same result. Any ideas ?

• Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture not working consistently

  I've been working on a pet project on the weekends to learn more about C# and have encountered an odd problem when working with localization. To be more specific, the problem I have is with System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture. I've set up my app so that the user can quickly change the language of the app by clicking a menu item. The menu item in turn, saves the two-letter code for the language (e.g. "en", "fr", etc.) in a user setting called 'Language' and then restarts the application. Properties.Settings.Default.Language = "en"; Properties.Settings.Default.Save(); Application.Restart(); When the application is started up, the first line of code in the Form's constructor (even before InitializeComponent()) fetches the Language string from the settings and sets the CurrentUICulture like so: public Form1() { Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new CultureInfo(Properties.Settings.Default.Language); InitializeComponent(); } The thing is, this doesn't work consistently. Sometimes, all works well and the application loads the correct language based on the string saved in the settings file. Other times, it doesn't, and the language remains the same after the application is restarted. At first I thought that I didn't save the language before restarting the application but that is definitely not the case. When the correct language fails to load, if I were to close the application and run it again, the correct language would come up correctly. So this implies that the Language string has been saved but the CurrentUICulture assignment in my form constructor is having no effect sometimes. Any help? Is there something I'm missing of how threading works in C#? This could be machine-specific, so if it makes any difference I'm using Pentium Dual-Core CPU. UPDATE Vlad asked me to check what the CurrentThread's CurrentUICulture is. So I added a MessageBox on my constructor to tell me what the CurrentUICulture two-letter code is as well as the value of my Language user string. MessageBox.Show(string.Format("Current Language: {0}\nCurrent UI Culture: {1}", Properties.Settings.Default.Language, Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture.TwoLetterISOLanguageName)); When the wrong language is loaded, both the Language string and CurrentUICulture have the wrong language. So I guess the CurrentUICulture has been cleared and my problem is actually with the Language Setting. So I guess the problem is that my application sometimes loads the previously saved language string rather than the last saved language string. If the app is restarted, it will then load the actual saved language string.

  I have written a Java web application that allows a user to download files from a server. These files are quite large and so are zipped together before download. It works like this: 1. The user gets a list of files that match his/her criteria 2. If the user likes a file and wants to download he/she selects it by checking a checkbox 3. The user then clicks "download" 4. The files are then zipped and stored on a server 5. The user this then presented with a page which contains a link to the downloadable zip file 6. However on downloading the zip file the file that is downloaded is 0 bytes in size I have checked the remote server and the zip file is being created properly, all that is left is to serve the file the user somehow, can you see where I might be going wrong, or suggest a better way to serve the zip file.   Hi, i have installed sfDoctrineGuardUser and have created this model that inherits sfGuardUser model: Usuario: inheritance: extends: sfGuardUser type: simple columns: nombre_apellidos: string(60) sexo: boolean fecha_nac: date provincia: string(60) localidad: string(255) email_address: string(255) avatar: string(255) avatar_mensajes: string(255) I have also created a module called 'miembros' based on that model. Well, I log normally through sfGuardAuth/signin, then i go to "miembros/edit/id/$id_of_the_member_i_used_to_log_in" and push 'Save' button. Then i logout. If i try to log in again, it says: "The username and/or password is invalid". Later, i have realized that when click 'Save' the value of the field 'password' changes (well its encrypted version). So that is the reason why i can not then log in. But, why the value of the password change when i click on 'Save' ??? Regards Javi

But with LinkedHashMap i got a problem I got a warning "Type safety: Unchecked cast from Serializable to LinkedHashMap" But i had this warning with HashMap too? But if it is not Monday, excel will generate 3 emails with only 1 attachment/link. My issue is that In my excel spreadsheet there is a tab called Actual and it is populated with a date. If this date within my excel spreadsheet is changed on a monday, to any other day of the week, my vba code will still treat the program as if it is Monday. I need an IF statement that will allow the 3 emails with the 3 attachements/links to generate given the date typed in on the Actual tab within my spreadsheet. I hope this isnt confusing.
