    I am trying to parse Youtube Gdata to see if video with given id exists. But there isn't normal tag but with namespace. On the link http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos?q=KgfdlZuVz7I there is tag: <openSearch:totalResults>1</openSearch:totalResults> There is namespace openSearch: xmlns:openSearch='http://a9.com/-/spec/opensearchrss/1.0/' but I dont know how to deal with it in Nokogiri and Ruby. My problem comes up when it's time to persist an object. At runtime, I can create an object which could be an instance of DerivedClass, DerivedClassA or DerivedClassB. As you can see, each one of the derived classes introduces a new field which only makes sense for that specific derived class. All the classes share the same physical table in the database. If I persist an object of type DerivedClass, I expect fields BE_FIELD, DE_FIELD, ID and TYPE to be persisted with their values and the remaining fields to be null. If I persist an object of type DerivedClass A, I expect those same fields plus the FIELD_CLASS_A field to be persisted with their values and field FIELD_CLASS_B to be null. Something equivalent for an object of type DerivedClassB. Since the @Embedded annotation is at the BaseClass only, Hibernate is only persisting the fields up to that level in the tree. I don't know how to tell Hibernate that I want to persist up to the appropriate level in the tree, depending on the actual type of the embedded property. I cannot have another @Embedded property in the subclasses since this would duplicate data that is already present in the superclass and would also break the Java model. I cannot declare the embedded property to be of a more specific type either, since it's only at runtime when the actual object is created and I don't have a single branch in the hierarchy. Is it possible to solve my problem? Or should I resignate myself to accept that there is no way to persist the Java model as it is? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have input lines of of the form (token)(whitespace)(token)(lots of text) The problem is that there exit n tokens per line, so I can't do something like this cut -f3,4,5,6,7,8,9 is there a way to tell cut to take everything except the specified fields

    Hi, if I put a custom class in session, then in an action method I get an instance of that class from session, and populate some fields, I noticed that when a different controller gets that class from session, those fields are populated. Even though after the first call didn't save the updated class back in session. is this typical behavior for session objects? I thought I had to use keyword 'static' on the class in session for this to happen thanks

  • IIS7 URL Rewriting: How not to drop HTTPS protocol from rewritten URL?

    I'm working on a website that's using IIS 7's URL rewriting feature to do a permanent redirect from example.com to www.example.com, as well as rewrites from similar domain names to the "main" one, such as from www.examples.com to www.example.com. This rewrite rule - shown below - has worked well for sometime now. However, we recently added HTTPS support and noticed that if users visit one of the URLs to be rewritten to www.example.com then HTTPS is dropped. For instance, if a user visits https://example.com they get redirected to http://www.example.com, whereas we would like them to be sent to https://www.example.com. Here is the rewrite rule of interest (in Web.config): <rule name="Canonical Host Name" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(.*)" /> <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAny"> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^example\.com$" /> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.)?example\.net$" /> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.)?example\.info$" /> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.)?examples\.com$" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" url="http://www.example.com/{R:1}" redirectType="Permanent" /> </rule> As you can see, the action element's url attribute points directly to http://, so I get why https://example.com is redirected to http://www.example.com.   • PHP problems when transfering code from Windows to OS X

    I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro. Before I had my MacBook Pro I was working on a website on my desktop computer. And now I want to transfer this code to my new MacBook Pro. The problem is that when I transfered the code (I put it on Dropbox and simply downloaded it on my MacBook Pro) I started to see lots of error messages in my PHP code. The error message I”m receiving is: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /some/file.php:1) in /some/file.php on line 23 I have done some research on this and it seems that this error is most frequently caused by a new line, simple whitespace or any output before the <?php sign. I have looked through all the places where I have cookies that are being sent in the HTTP request and also where I'm using the header() function. I haven’t detected any output or whitespace that possibly could interfere and cause this problem. Noteworthy is that the error always says that the output is started at line 1. Which got me thinking if there is some kind of coding differences in the way that the Mac OS X and Windows operating systems handle new lines or white spaces? Or could the Dropbox transfer messed something up?     Hi all: I am working on a C# application that involves using XML schema file as databases for message definitions and XML file as databases for message data. I was following the example I found:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.xml.xmldatadocument.dataset%28v=VS.100%29.aspx I wrote my own xsd and XML file. I used the same approach in the example, read the xsd file and then load the xml file. But I don't have any "Rows" created for my DataTable. I used debugger to step through my codes. When I am get my DataTable use xmlDataDocument.DataSet.Tables["name of the table"], the Rows property of that tables is 0. Does anybody know what might cause the DataSet tables not get populated after I loaded the xmlDataDocument with XML file?
