  • Android:How to avoid XML verification failed error and Upgrading to 2.x SDK successfully?

    - by user187532
Hi, I have setup for Android development with 1.5 SDK on Mac O.S X - Eclipse 3.5. I want to upgrade the SDK, so as i followed to choose Window-Android SDK and AVD Manager from Eclipse. But it throws error as follows: XML verification failed for https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml. Error: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'sdk:sdk- repository'. Failed to fetch URL I tried "http" instead of https, but still getting the same error. I don't know why such crap error comes. If i see Android website, http://developer.android.com/intl/zh-CN/sdk/index.html its confusing. Could someone guide me easily to update Android SDK to 2.x or later without uninstalling my current setup environment. Thanks. I appreciate your kind suggestions.

  • Google Chart Number formatting

    - by MizAkita
    I need to format my pie and column charts to show the $ and comma in currency format ($###,###) when you hover over the charts. Right now, it is displaying the number and percentage but the number as #####.## here is my code. Any help would be appreciated. // Load the Visualization API and the piechart package. google.load('visualization', '1.0', {'packages':['corechart']}); // Set a callback to run when the Google Visualization API is loaded. google.setOnLoadCallback(drawChart); var formatter = new google.visualization.NumberFormat({ prefix: '$' }); formatter.format(data, 1); var options = { pieSliceText: 'value' }; // Callback that creates and populates a data table, // instantiates the pie chart, passes in the data and // draws it. function drawChart() { // REVENUE CHART - Create the data table. var data4 = new google.visualization.DataTable(); data4.addColumn('string', 'Status'); data4.addColumn('number', 'In Thousands'); data4.addRows([ ['Net tution & Fees', 213.818], ['Auxiliaries', 30.577], ['Government grants/contracts', 39.436], ['Private grants/gifts', 39.436], ['Investments', 10.083], ['Clinics', 14.353], ['Other', 5.337] ]); // EXPENSES CHART - Create the data table. var data5 = new google.visualization.DataTable(); data5.addColumn('string', 'Status'); data5.addColumn('number', 'Amount'); data5.addRows([ ['Instruction', 133.868], ['Sponsored Progams', 34.940], ['Auxiliaries', 30.064], ['Academic Support', 25.529], ['Depreciation & amortization', 18.548], ['Student Services', 22.626], ['Plant operations & maintenance', 18.105], ['Fundraising', 13.258], ['Geneal Administration', 11.628], ['Interest', 6.846], ['Student Aid', 1.886], ]); // ENDOWMENT CHART - Create the data table. var data6 = new google.visualization.DataTable(); data6.addColumn('string', 'Status'); data6.addColumn('number', 'In Millions'); data6.addRows([ ['2010', 178.7], ['2011', 211.693], ['2012', 199.3] ]); // Set REVENUE chart options var options4 = { is3D: true, fontName: 'Arial', colors:['#AFD8F8', '#F6BD0F', '#8BBA00', '#FF8E46', '#008E8E', '#CCCCCC', '#D64646', '#8E468E'], 'title':'', 'width':550, 'height':250}; // Set EXPENSES chart options var options5 = { is3D: true, fontName: 'Arial', colors:['#AFD8F8', '#F6BD0F', '#8BBA00', '#FF8E46', '#008E8E', '#CCCCCC', '#D64646', '#8E468E'], 'title':'', 'width':550, 'height':250}; // Set ENDOWMENT chart options var options6 = { is3D: true, fontName: 'Arial', colors:['#AFD8F8', '#F6BD0F', '#8BBA00', '#FF8E46', '#008E8E', '#CCCCCC', '#D64646', '#8E468E'], 'title':'', 'width':450, 'height':250}; // Instantiate and draw our chart, passing in some options. var chart4 = new google.visualization.PieChart(document.getElementById('chart_div4')); chart4.draw(data4, options4); var chart5 = new google.visualization.PieChart(document.getElementById('chart_div5')); chart5.draw(data5, options5); var chart6 = new google.visualization.ColumnChart(document.getElementById('chart_div6')); chart6.draw(data6, options6);}

  • Can we Make a checkboxList using jquery like we fill the options in select tag of html?

  • mod_rewrite RewriteRule is not working

    - by buggy1985
Hi, This is a follow-up of this question: Rewrite URL - how to get the hostname and the path? I got this Rewrite Rule: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(http://[-A-Za-z0-9+&@#/%=~_|!:,.;]*)/([-A-Za-z0-9+&@#/%=~_|!:,.;]*)\?([A-Za-z0-9+&@#/%=~_|!:,.;]*)$ http://http://www.xmldomain.com/bla/$2?$3&rtype=xslt&xsl=$1/$2.xsl it seems to be correct, and exactly what I need. But it doesn't work on my server. I get a 404 page not found error. mod_rewrite is enabled, as the following simple rule is working fine: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^page/([^/\.]+)/?$ index.php?page=$1 [L] Can you help? Thanks

  • SQL Server indexed view matching of views with joins not working

    - by usr
Does anyone have experience of when SQL Servr 2008 R2 is able to automatically match indexed view (also known as materialized views) that contain joins to a query? for example the view select dbo.Orders.Date, dbo.OrderDetails.ProductID from dbo.OrderDetails join dbo.Orders on dbo.OrderDetails.OrderID = dbo.Orders.ID cannot be automatically matched to the same exact query. When I select directly from this view ith (noexpand) I actually get a much faster query plan that does a scan on the clustered index of the indexed view. Can I get SQL Server to do this matching automatically? I have quite a few queries and views... I am on enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008 R2.

  • Convert object to DateRange

    - by user655832
I'm querying an underlying PostgreSQL database using Pandas 0.8. Pandas is returning the DataFrame properly but the underlying timestamp column in my database is being returned as a generic "object" type in Pandas. As I would eventually like to seasonal normalization of my data I am curious as to how to convert this generic "object" column to something that is appropriate for analysis. Here is my current code to retrieve the data: # get records from db example import pandas.io.sql as psql import psycopg2 # define query to get all subs created this year QRY = """ select i i, i * random() f, case when random() > 0.5 then true else false end t, (current_date - (i*random())::int)::timestamp with time zone tsz from generate_series(1,1000) as s(i) order by 4 ; """ CONN_STRING = "host='localhost' port=5432 dbname='postgres' user='postgres'" # connect to db conn = psycopg2.connect(CONN_STRING) # get some data set index on relid column df = psql.frame_query(QRY, con=conn) print "Row count retrieved: %i" % (len(df),) Thanks for any help you can render. • PL/SQL bulk collect into associative array with sparse key

    - by Dan
I want to execute a SQL query inside PL/SQL and populate the results into an associative array, where one of the columns in the SQL becomes the key in the associative array. For example, say I have a table Person with columns PERSON_ID INTEGER PRIMARY KEY PERSON_NAME VARCHAR2(50) ...and values like: PERSON_ID | PERSON_NAME ------------------------ 6 | Alice 15 | Bob 1234 | Carol I want to bulk collect this table into a TABLE OF VARCHAR2(50) INDEX BY INTEGER such that the key 6 in this associative array has the value Alice and so on. Can this be done in PL/SQL? If so, how?

  • JavaScript "confirm" on SelectedIndexChange of RadioButtonList

    - by Brian David Berman
I have a RadioButtonList control and I would like to do a Javascript "confirm" when a user tries to change the index. Currently AutoPostBack is set to TRUE. I can, of course, just call __doPostBack from within a javascript function, etc. I tried a few things with jQuery but you have to worry about mousedown vs. click and then there is always the fact that you can click the checkbox label to select it, etc. Anyone have a nice solution for this? To be clear, I am looking for a way to prompt the user with a confirm box prior to their selection being made and triggering a postback.

  • How to optimize this user ranking query

    - by James Simpson
I have 2 databases (users, userRankings) for a system that needs to have rankings updated every 10 minutes. I use the following code to update these rankings which works fairly well, but there is still a full table scan involved which slows things down with a few hundred thousand users. mysql_query("TRUNCATE TABLE userRankings"); mysql_query("INSERT INTO userRankings (userid) SELECT id FROM users ORDER BY score DESC"); mysql_query("UPDATE users a, userRankings b SET a.rank = b.rank WHERE a.id = b.userid"); In the userRankings table, rank is the primary key and userid is an index. Both tables are MyISAM (I've wondered if it might be beneficial to make userRankings InnoDB).

  • Iterate over a dict or list in Python

    - by Chris Dutrow
Just wrote some nasty code that iterates over a dict or a list in Python. I have a feeling this was not the best way to go about it. The problem is that in order to iterate over a dict, this is the convention: for key in dict_object: dict_object[key] = 1 But modifying the object properties by key does not work if the same thing is done on a list: # Throws an error because the value of key is the property value, not # the list index: for key in list_object: list_object[key] = 1 The way I solved this problem was to write this nasty code: if isinstance(obj, dict): for key in obj: do_loop_contents(obj, key) elif isinstance(obj, list): for i in xrange(0, len(obj)): do_loop_contents(obj, i) def do_loop_contents(obj, key): obj[key] = 1 Is there a better way to do this? Thanks!

  • PHP session destroyed / lost after header

    - by ILMV
I've got a script that sets some session values before redirecting to / using header(). I've read many posts about the $_SESSION variable being destroyed / lost after header(), even after I implemented this: // set session here session_regenerate_id(true); session_write_close(); header("Location: /"); session_start() is set in the correct places, does anyone know of anything that I might be missing? On the index.php page I have this: session_start(); print_r($_SESSION); // outputs nothing :'( The code is pretty complex so will not post it all, just snippets.

  • Drupal Clean Urls break randomly for arbitrary paths.

    - by picardo
I've done everything right. My server has mod_rewrite enabled, my virtualhost path has AllowOverride set to All, and I have the .htaccess file in place with the rewrite rules same as everyone. But I have trouble accessing some pages using their clean url paths. So for 90% of the pages, clean urls work fine. But for that 10%, they don't. I have checked whether those pages exist -- they do. Checked whether they are accessible using index.php?q=[path] -- and they are. They are only inaccessible through clean url paths. Can anyone help me with this mystery?

  • Multiple delimiters using Regex.Split in C#

    - by Arthur Frankel
Let's say you need to split a string by various delimiters including newline (/r, /n) and a few other 'special' character strings. For example: This is a sample %%% text &&& that I would like to split %%% into an array. I would like the following in the resulting string array (contents via index) [0]This is a sample [1]text [2]that I would [3]like to split [4]into an array. I would like to use C# Regex.Split() function. What is the regex expression to match on all of my delimiters? Thanks in advance

  • Retrieve part of a MySQL column with PHP

    - by Gerardo Marset
    For instance, if I have the following table: +----+---+----------+ | id | a | position | +----+---+----------+ | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 1 | 0 | 1 | | 2 | 1 | 4 | | 3 | 1 | 9 | | 4 | 1 | 6 | | 5 | 1 | 1 | +----+---+----------+ and I want to get an array that contains the first 100 values from position where a is 1 in ascending order, what would I do? Im guessing something like this: $col = mysql_fetch_array( mysql_query(' SELECT `position` FROM `table` WHERE `a`="1" ORDER BY `position` ASC LIMIT 100 ')); I'd expect to get the following array: +-------+-------+ | index | value | +-------+-------+ | 0 | 1 | | 1 | 4 | | 2 | 6 | | 3 | 9 | +-------+-------+ but it doesn't work. ¿What should I do to make it work? Thanks

  • How to remove the explicit dependencies to other projects' libraries in Eclipse launch configuration

    - by euluis
In Eclipse it is possible to create launch configurations in a project, specifying the runtime dependencies from another project. A problem I found was that if you have a multiple project workspace, being possible that each project has its own libraries, it is easy to add explicit dependencies in a secondary project to libraries that are of another project and therefore subject to change. An example of this problem follows: proj1 +-- src +-- lib +-- jar1-v1.0.jar +-- jar2-v1.0.jar proj2 +-- src +-- proj2-tests.launch I don't have a dependency from the code in proj2/src to the libraries in proj1/lib. Nevertheless, I do have a dependency from proj2/src to proj1/src, although since there is an internal dependency in the code in proj1/src to its libraries jar1-v1.0.jar and jar2.v1.0.jar, I have to add a dependency in proj2-tests.launch to the libraries in proj1/lib. This translates to the following ugly lines in proj2-tests.launch: <listEntry value="<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <runtimeClasspathEntry path="3" projectName="proj1" type="1"/> "/> <listEntry value="<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <runtimeClasspathEntry internalArchive="/proj1/lib/jar1-v1.0.jar" path="3" type="2"/> "/> <listEntry value="<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <runtimeClasspathEntry internalArchive="/proj1/lib/jar2-v1.0.jar" path="3" type="2"/> "/> This wouldn't be a big problem if there wasn't the need from time to time to evolve the software, upgrade the libraries and etc. Consider the common need to upgrade the libraries jar1-v1.0.jar and jar2-v1.0.jar to their versions v1.1. Consider that you have about 10 projects in one workspace, having about 5 libraries each and about 4 launch configurations. You get a maintenance overhead in doing a simple upgrade of a library, which normally must imply changes in files for which there wasn't the need for. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong... What I would like to state is proj2 depends on proj1 and on its libraries and having this translated to simply that in the *.launch files. Is that possible?

  • Rails messing up with HTTP POST Params

    - by Julien Genestoux
    Our app provides an API that people can use to submit URLs like this: curl -X POST http://app.local/resource -d'url=http://news.google.com/newshl=en&q=obama&um=1&ie=UTF-8&output=rss' Unfortunately, it seems that Rails messes up with this param. Any idea on how to fix this? See the log below : Processing ApplicationController#index (for 127.0.0.1 at 2010-06-08 19:03:09) [POST] Parameters: {"um"=>"1", "url"=>"http://news.google.com/newshl=en", "output"=>"rss", "q"=>"obama", "ie"=>"UTF-8"} I would expect the following : Parameters: {"url"=>"hhttp://news.google.com/newshl=en&q=obama&um=1&ie=UTF-8&output=rss"}

  • Django json serialization problem

    - by codingJoe
    I am having difficulty serializing a django object. The problem is that there are foreign keys. I want the serialization to have data from the referenced object, not just the index. For example, I would like the sponsor data field to say "sponsor.last_name, sponsor.first_name" rather than "13". How can I fix my serialization? json data: {"totalCount":"2","activities":[{"pk": 1, "model": "app.activity", "fields": {"activity_date": "2010-12-20", "description": "my activity", "sponsor": 13, "location": 1, .... model code: class Activity(models.Model): activity_date = models.DateField() description = models.CharField(max_length=200) sponsor = models.ForeignKey(Sponsor) location = models.ForeignKey(Location) class Sponsor(models.Model): last_name = models.CharField(max_length=20) first_name= models.CharField(max_length=20) specialty = models.CharField(max_length=100) class Location(models.Model): location_num = models.IntegerField(primary_key=True) location_name = models.CharField(max_length=100) def activityJSON(request): activities = Activity.objects.all() total = activities.count() activities_json = serializers.serialize("json", activities) data = "{\"totalCount\":\"%s\",\"activities\":%s}" % (total, activities_json) return HttpResponse(data, mimetype="application/json")

  • help understanding the concept of javascript callbacks with node.js, especially in loops

    - by Mr JSON
hi I am just starting with node.js. I have done a little ajax stuff but nothing too complicated so callbacks are still kind of over my head. I looked at async but all I need is to run a few functions sequentially. I basically have something that pulls some json from an api, creates a new one and then does something with that. obviously i can't just run it because it runs everything at once and has an empty json. mostly they have to go sequentially but if while pulling a json from the api it can pull other json while it's waiting that is fine. I just got confused when putting the callback in a loop. what do I do with the index? i think i have seen some places that use callback inside the loop as kind of a recusive function and don't use for loops at all. simple examples would help alot thanks!

  • Best way to manage a header navigation menu from within a template?

I have several .gsp views merging with a single template that looks like this: <div id="bd" role="main"> <div role="navigation" class="yui-g"> <ul id="nav"><a href="index.gsp"><li class="active">Home</li></a><a href = "products.gsp"><li>Products</li></a><a href = "contacts.gsp"><li>Contact</li></a></ul> </div> <g:layoutBody/> </div>

  • Which C++ graphics library should I use?

    - by mspoerr
Hello, I found the following graphics libraries, but I am not sure which one I should use. Maybe there are some more... Graphviz (http://www.graphviz.org/) Boost Graph Library (http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_42_0/libs/graph/doc/index.html) Lemon (http://lemon.cs.elte.hu/trac/lemon) igraph (http://igraph.sourceforge.net/introduction.html) What it should do: draw a undirected network map come as header only or static lib for Windows the output format should be user editable Graphviz is the only one I tried so far, but I found no static lib for it, I failed to build it by my own and the documentation could be better. Therefore I looked around and found these other three libs. I would be glad to get some recommendations which lib to choose. Thanks, /mspoerr

  • Grails multi column indexes

    - by Kimble
Can someone explain how to define multi column indexes in Grails? The documentation is at best sparse. This for example does not seem to work at all: http://grails.org/GORM+Index+definitions I've had some luck with this, but the results seems random at best. Definitions that works in one domain class does not when applied to another (with different names of course). http://www.grails.org/doc/1.1/guide/single.html#5.5.2.6%20Database%20Indices Some working examples and explanations would be highly appreciated!

  • Rails ActiveRecord: Find All Users Except Current User

    - by SingleShot
I feel this should be very simple but my brain is short-circuiting on it. If I have an object representing the current user, and want to query for all users except the current user, how can I do this, taking into account that the current user can sometimes be nil? This is what I am doing right now: def index @users = User.all @users.delete current_user end What I don't like is that I am doing post-processing on the query result. Besides feeling a little wrong, I don't think this will work nicely if I convert the query over to be run with will_paginate. Any suggestions for how to do this with a query? Thanks.
