  • Eclipse CDT debugger does not show console

    - by KáGé
Hi, I'm trying to debug a C program using Eclipse CDT-s debugger and gdb on a Windows7 system, and everything seems fine, except for the console not showing up, which is bad, because my program needs input at some points from the keyboard. So how should I make Eclipse's debugger work properly? Thank you.

  • java.util.zip - ZipInputStream v.s. ZipFile

    - by lucho
Hello, community! I have some general questions regarding the java.util.zip library. What we basically do is an import and an export of many small components. Previously these components were imported and exported using a single big file, e.g.: <component-type-a id="1"/> <component-type-a id="2"/> <component-type-a id="N"/> <component-type-b id="1"/> <component-type-b id="2"/> <component-type-b id="N"/> Please note that the order of the components during import is relevant. Now every component should occupy its own file which should be externally versioned, QA-ed, bla, bla. We decided that the output of our export should be a zip file (with all these files in) and the input of our import should be a similar zip file. We do not want to explode the zip in our system. We do not want opening separate streams for each of the small files. My current questions: Q1. May the ZipInputStream guarantee that the zip entries (the little files) will be read in the same order in which they were inserted by our export that uses ZipOutputStream? I assume reading is something like: ZipInputStream zis = new ZipInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(fis)); ZipEntry entry; while((entry = zis.getNextEntry()) != null) { //read from zis until available } I know that the central zip directory is put at the end of the zip file but nevertheless the file entries inside have sequential order. I also know that relying on the order is an ugly idea but I just want to have all the facts in mind. Q2. If I use ZipFile (which I prefer) what is the performance impact of calling getInputStream() hundreds of times? Will it be much slower than the ZipInputStream solution? The zip is opened only once and ZipFile is backed by RandomAccessFile - is this correct? I assume reading is something like: ZipFile zipfile = new ZipFile(argv[0]); Enumeration e = zipfile.entries();//TODO: assure the order of the entries while(e.hasMoreElements()) { entry = (ZipEntry) e.nextElement(); is = zipfile.getInputStream(entry)); } Q3. Are the input streams retrieved from the same ZipFile thread safe (e.g. may I read different entries in different threads simultaneously)? Any performance penalties? Thanks for your answers!

  • JQuery validation not working for checkbox group

    - by Chris Halcrow
I'm having trouble getting JQuery validation to work with a set of checkboxes. I'm generating the checkboxes using an ASP.NET checkboxlist, and I've used JQuery to set the 'name' attribute to the same thing for each checkbox in the list. Here's the code that gets written to the browser. I'm setting the 'validate' attribute on the 1st checkbox to set the rule that at least one checkbox must be selected. The JQuery validation works for all other elements on the form, but not for the checkbox list. I'm also using a JQuery form wizard on the page which triggers validation for each 'page' of the form, so I don't have control over how the validation is called. <input id="ContentPlaceHolder1_MainContent_AreaOfInterest_0" class="ui-wizard-content ui-helper-reset ui-state-default" type="checkbox" value="Famine" name="hello[]" validate="required:true, minlength:1"> <label for="ContentPlaceHolder1_MainContent_AreaOfInterest_0">Famine</label> <br> <input id="ContentPlaceHolder1_MainContent_AreaOfInterest_1" class="ui-wizard-content ui-helper-reset ui-state-default" type="checkbox" value="Events Volunteer" name="hello[]"> <label for="ContentPlaceHolder1_MainContent_AreaOfInterest_1">Events Volunteer</label> Any ideas on what's going wrong? There are lots of examples of JQuery scripts that will do the validation, however I'm trying to avoid this as I'm generating the checkboxlist server side by a custom control so that it can be re-used across different pages that may or may not have JQuery enabled. I'm trying to enable the JQuery validation whilst being as unobtrusive as possible, so that pages will still work even if JQuery is disabled. Here are the relevant JQuery inclusions and JQuery initialisation script for the form wizard. I'm not using any initialisation code for JQuery validation: <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/formwizard/js/bbq.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/formwizard/js/jquery.form.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/formwizard/js/jquery.form.wizard.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/formwizard/js/jquery.validate.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $("#form1").formwizard({ validationEnabled: true, focusFirstInput: true }); }); </script>

  • How to calculate the maximum block length in C of a binary number

    - by user1664272
I want to reiterate the fact that I am not asking for direct code to my problem rather than wanting information on how to reach that solution. I asked a problem earlier about counting specific integers in binary code. Now I would like to ask how one comes about counting the maximum block length within binary code. I honestly just want to know where to get started and what exactly the question means by writing code to figure out the "Maximum block length" of an inputted integers binary representation. Ex: Input 456 Output: 111001000 Number of 1's: 4 Maximum Block Length: ? Here is my code so far for reference if you need to see where I'm coming from. #include <stdio.h> int main(void) { int integer; // number to be entered by user int i, b, n; unsigned int ones; printf("Please type in a decimal integer\n"); // prompt fflush(stdout); scanf("%d", &integer); // read an integer if(integer < 0) { printf("Input value is negative!"); // if integer is less than fflush(stdout); return; // zero, print statement } else{ printf("Binary Representation:\n", integer); fflush(stdout);} //if integer is greater than zero, print statement for(i = 31; i >= 0; --i) //code to convert inputted integer to binary form { b = integer >> i; if(b&1){ printf("1"); fflush(stdout); } else{ printf("0"); fflush(stdout); } } printf("\n"); fflush(stdout); ones = 0; //empty value to store how many 1's are in binary code while(integer) //while loop to count number of 1's within binary code { ++ones; integer &= integer - 1; } printf("Number of 1's in Binary Representation: %d\n", ones); // prints number fflush(stdout); //of ones in binary code printf("Maximum Block Length: \n"); fflush(stdout); printf("\n"); fflush(stdout); return 0; }//end function main

  • jQuery 1.4.2 and IE6: change event not firing first time using keyboard

    - by macca1
I've done a good amount of research on this and found a bunch of reported problems and solutions but the general consensus seems that all change problems in IE6 were fixed in jQuery 1.4.2. I'm having an issue where a change event is not firing in jQuery 1.4.2, but it did fire successfully in jQuery 1.3.2. This is in IE6. I'm about to submit a bug for this, but for my sanity I wanted to post it here first to see if there's something dumb I'm missing. I don't understand why this is working this way... <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>jQuery 1.4.2 Problem </TITLE> <script src="jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script> $(document).ready( function() { $("#firstBox").change(function() { alert("CHANGE"); }); // ONLOAD of document autofocus into the first element... $("form").find(":input:visible:first").focus() }); </script> </HEAD> <BODY> <form> <select id="firstBox"> <option value="" selected="selected">--</option> <option value="1">One</option> <option value="2">Two</option> </select> <br><br> <input size="10" id="secondBox"> </form> </BODY> </HTML> Simple enough, right? Onload of the page, give the first element focus. Onchange of the first element, alert. If you use the mouse, it works as expected. The page loads, the focus is in the drop down, you change the option, you get the alert. The problem is if you use the keyboard. The page loads, the focus is in the drop down, you press the down arrow. The option changes. Tab off the field, no alert. Weird. To make it even weirder, if you tab back into the field and change it again (all using the keyboard), the change event DOES fire after tab out this time. Any ideas?

  • build errors with Crypto++ on iphone

    - by Joey
I am trying to build Crypto++ for iPhone but encountering issues. I managed to get it to build to the device by removing a few .asm files and test.cpp but two issues: 1) the simulator gets build errors relating to: {standard input}:13583:suffix or operands invalid for `call' 2) there are hundreds of warnings (kind of annoying) Has anyone gotten crypto++ to work on iphone and found a way to resolve these issues?

  • $stdin compatibility with std::istream using swig, C++, and Ruby

    - by Kenny Peng
I have a function in C++ that takes in an std::istream as the input: class Foo { Foo(std::istream &); } Using SWIG, I've bound it to Ruby, but Ruby's $stdin variable is fundamentally different from anything like the stream classes in C++, so I'm not sure how to either 1) expose the C++ class to Ruby in a way that I can use $stdin, or 2) convert $stdin into something the C++ class can understand. Anyone have experience with binding iostreams in C++ to Ruby? Thanks.

  • AudioConverterConvertBuffer problem with insz error

    - by Samuel
    Hi Codegurus, I have a problem with the this function AudioConverterConvertBuffer. Basically I want to convert from this format _ streamFormat.mFormatFlags = kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsSignedInteger | kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsPacked |0 ; _streamFormat.mBitsPerChannel = 16; _streamFormat.mChannelsPerFrame = 2; _streamFormat.mBytesPerPacket = 4; _streamFormat.mBytesPerFrame = 4; _streamFormat.mFramesPerPacket = 1; _streamFormat.mSampleRate = 44100; _streamFormat.mReserved = 0; to this format _streamFormatOutput.mFormatFlags = kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsSignedInteger | kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsPacked|0 ;//| kAudioFormatFlagIsNonInterleaved |0; _streamFormatOutput.mBitsPerChannel = 16; _streamFormatOutput.mChannelsPerFrame = 1; _streamFormatOutput.mBytesPerPacket = 2; _streamFormatOutput.mBytesPerFrame = 2; _streamFormatOutput.mFramesPerPacket = 1; _streamFormatOutput.mSampleRate = 44100; _streamFormatOutput.mReserved = 0; and what i want to do is to extract an audio channel(Left channel or right channel) from an LPCM buffer based on the input format to make it mono in the output format. Some logic code to convert is as follows This is to set the channel map for PCM output file SInt32 channelMap[1] = {0}; status = AudioConverterSetProperty(converter, kAudioConverterChannelMap, sizeof(channelMap), channelMap); and this is to convert the buffer in a while loop AudioBufferList audioBufferList; CMBlockBufferRef blockBuffer; CMSampleBufferGetAudioBufferListWithRetainedBlockBuffer(sampBuffer, NULL, &audioBufferList, sizeof(audioBufferList), NULL, NULL, 0, &blockBuffer); for (int y=0; y<audioBufferList.mNumberBuffers; y++) { AudioBuffer audioBuffer = audioBufferList.mBuffers[y]; //frames = audioBuffer.mData; NSLog(@"the number of channel for buffer number %d is %d",y,audioBuffer.mNumberChannels); NSLog(@"The buffer size is %d",audioBuffer.mDataByteSize); numBytesIO = audioBuffer.mDataByteSize; convertedBuf = malloc(sizeof(char)*numBytesIO); status = AudioConverterConvertBuffer(converter, audioBuffer.mDataByteSize, audioBuffer.mData, &numBytesIO, convertedBuf); char errchar[10]; NSLog(@"status audio converter convert %d",status); if (status != 0) { NSLog(@"Fail conversion"); assert(0); } NSLog(@"Bytes converted %d",numBytesIO); status = AudioFileWriteBytes(mRecordFile, YES, countByteBuf, &numBytesIO, convertedBuf); NSLog(@"status for writebyte %d, bytes written %d",status,numBytesIO); free(convertedBuf); if (numBytesIO != audioBuffer.mDataByteSize) { NSLog(@"Something wrong in writing"); assert(0); } countByteBuf = countByteBuf + numBytesIO; But the insz problem is there... so it cant convert. I would appreciate any input Thanks in advance
