  • java.lang.NumberFormatException: unable to parse '' as integer one more time

    - by Quzziy
    I will take two numbers from user, but this number from EditText must be converted to int. I think it should be working, but I still have problem with compilation code in Android Studio. CatLog show error in line with: int wiek = Integer.parseInt(wiekEditText.getText().toString()); Below is my full Android code: public class MyActivity extends ActionBarActivity { int Wynik; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_my); int Tmax, RT; EditText wiekEditText = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.inWiek); EditText tspoczEditText = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.inTspocz); int wiek = Integer.parseInt(wiekEditText.getText().toString()); int tspocz = Integer.parseInt(tspoczEditText.getText().toString()); Tmax = 220 - wiek; RT = Tmax - tspocz; Wynik = 70*RT/100 + tspocz; final EditText tempWiekEdit = wiekEditText; TabHost tabHost = (TabHost) findViewById(R.id.tabHost); //Do TabHost'a z layoutu tabHost.setup(); TabHost.TabSpec tabSpec = tabHost.newTabSpec("Calc"); tabSpec.setContent(R.id.Calc); tabSpec.setIndicator("Calc"); tabHost.addTab(tabSpec); tabSpec = tabHost.newTabSpec("Hints"); tabSpec.setContent(R.id.Hints); tabSpec.setIndicator("Hints"); tabHost.addTab(tabSpec); final Button Btn = (Button) findViewById(R.id.Btn); Btn.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),"blablabla"+ "Wynik",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } }); wiekEditText.addTextChangedListener(new TextWatcher() { @Override public void beforeTextChanged(CharSequence s, int start, int count, int after) { } @Override public void onTextChanged(CharSequence s, int start, int before, int count) { Btn.setEnabled(!(tempWiekEdit.getText().toString().trim().isEmpty())); } @Override public void afterTextChanged(Editable s) { } }); } @Override public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { // Inflate the menu; this adds items to the action bar if it is present. getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.my, menu); return true; } @Override public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) { // Handle action bar item clicks here. • Is there any injection vunerability in the body of an email?

    - by Brett
    Hey guys..... AFAIK there is only a vulnerability within the HEADERS of an email when using user data correct? I am using the below function to sanitize my data, however I have some textarea fields on the page & hence these may contain linebreaks.. so was wondering if that user data is only going to be put in the body of the email, can it not bother with being sanitized - apart from stripping html of course? Here is the function: function is_injected($str) { $injections = array('(\n+)', '(\r+)', '(\t+)', '(%0A+)', '(%0D+)', '(%08+)', '(%09+)' ); $inject = join('|', $injections); $inject = "/$inject/i"; if (preg_match($inject,$str)) { return true; } else { return false; } } As a side note, surprised there wasn't currently a tag for mail-injection / email-injection. Thanks!

  • How can find out the system default currency symbol on BlackBerry?

    - by ageektrapped
    I have a need to display a currency value in my application. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this with the RIM API, so I'm reduced to creating my own solution (a common refrain for BlackBerry development, unfortunately) Currently I'm using the Formatter class, from javax.microedition.locale like so protected String formatResult(double result) { try { Locale l = Locale.getDefaultForSystem(); Formatter formatter = new Formatter(l.toString()); return formatter.formatCurrency(result); } catch (UnsupportedLocaleException e) { return "This fails for the default locale because BlackBerry sucks"; } } I always hit the catch block in the simulator. Since this doesn't work by default on the simulator, I'm hesitant to put it in the application. So I have two questions: Can anyone tell me if the above solution is the way to go? And how to fix it, of course. Is there a way I can retrieve the currency symbol for the current locale programmatically so I can format myself?

  • function to remove duplicate characters in a string

  • Get the size in 'px' instead of percents.

    - by Andrei Ciobanu
    Hello, I have to write a javascript function that is returning the current size (in px) of a div. Unfortunately the div has its weight specified in % instead of px. The style of the div: position: absolute; width: 100%; height: 100%; And my width returning function: function getTableWidth(tableId){ var tabWidth = document.getElementById('pt1::tabb').children[0].children[0].style.width; return tabWidth; } tabWidth is '100%'. Is it possible to return the px width instead of the % width ? NOTE: I don't have access to any html/css , as the page I am working on is generated through a complex framework. I can only embed javascript.

  • Will I use HtmlDocument even I want to parse the HTML string using HtmlAglityPack ?

    - by skhan
    Hi everyone, I'm working in C#. I'm trying to extract the first instance of img tag from a HTML string (which is actually a post data). This is my code: private string GrabImage(string htmlContent) { String firstImage; HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlDocument htmlDoc = new HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlDocument(); htmlDoc.LoadHtml(htmlContent); HtmlAgilityPack.HtmlNode imageNode = htmlDoc.DocumentNode.SelectSingleNode("//img"); if (imageNode != null) { return firstImage = imageNode.ToString(); } else return firstImage=" "; } But it gets null in htmlDoc, will I use the HtmlDocument type even if I'm trying to parse the HTML from a string ? P.S btw is it the correct way of grabbing the first instance of image tag from my HTML string?

  • Android: Unable to access a local website over HTTPS

    - by user1253789
    I am trying to access a locally hosted website and get its HTML source to parse. I have few questions: 1) Can I use "https://An IP ADDRESS HERE" as a valid URL to try and access. I do not want to make changes in the /etc/hosts file so I want to do it this way. 2) I cannot get the html, since it is giving me Handshake exceptions and Certificate issues. I have tried a lot of help available over the web , but am not successful. Here is the code I am using: public class MainActivity extends Activity { private TextView textView; String response = ""; String finalresponse=""; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); textView = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.TextView01); System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore","C:\\User\\*" ); System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", "" ); } private class DownloadWebPageTask extends AsyncTask<String, Void, String> { @Override protected String doInBackground(String... urls) { TrustManager[] trustAllCerts = new TrustManager[] { new X509TrustManager() { public java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] getAcceptedIssuers() { return null; } public void checkClientTrusted(java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) { } public void checkServerTrusted(java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) { } } }; try { SSLContext sc = SSLContext.getInstance("SSL"); sc.init(null, trustAllCerts, new java.security.SecureRandom()); HttpsURLConnection.setDefaultSSLSocketFactory(sc.getSocketFactory()); } catch (Exception e) { } try { URL url = new URL("https://172.27.224.133"); HttpsURLConnection con =(HttpsURLConnection)url.openConnection(); con.setHostnameVerifier(new AllowAllHostnameVerifier()); finalresponse=readStream(con.getInputStream()); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return finalresponse; } private String readStream(InputStream in) { BufferedReader reader = null; try { reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in)); String line = ""; while ((line = reader.readLine()) != null) { response+=line; } } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } finally { if (reader != null) { try { reader.close(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } return response; } @Override protected void onPostExecute(String result) { textView.setText(finalresponse); } } public void readWebpage(View view) { DownloadWebPageTask task = new DownloadWebPageTask(); task.execute(new String[] { "https://172.27.224.133" }); } }

  • C++ Recursion Issue

    - by stupidmonkey
    Hi guys, I feel a little dumb asking this, but here we go... When trying to follow the Recursion example at the following website http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/functions2/, I ran into a road bump that has me perplexed. I altered the code slightly just to get my head around the code in the recursion example and I pretty much have my head around it, but I can't figure out why the variable 'n' increments in 'Pass B' when I have not told the program to increment 'n'. Could you please help explain this? #include <stdlib.h> #include <iostream> using namespace std; long factorial (long n) { if (n > 1) { long r(0); cout << "Pass A" << endl; cout << "n = " << n << endl; cout << "r = " << r << endl; r = n * factorial (n-1); cout << "Pass B" << endl; cout << "n = " << n << endl; cout << "r = " << r << endl; return (r); } else return (1); } int main () { long number; cout << "Please type a number: "; cin >> number; cout << number << "! = " << factorial (number) << endl; system ("pause"); return 0; }

  • How to custom query using ORM in Fuelphp?

    - by viyancs
    I have a problem when I want to query table using ORM ,example I have article table with field id,author,text. My code like this : // Single where $article = Model_Article::find()->where('id', 4); print_r($article); that't code will be fetch all field on table article, it's like select * from article where id = 4 Try Possibility $article = Model_Article::find(null, array('id','title'))->where('id', 3); the response is object(Orm\Query)#89 (14) { ["model":protected]=> string(10) "Model_Article" ["connection":protected]=> NULL ["view":protected]=> NULL ["alias":protected]=> string(2) "t0" ["relations":protected]=> array(0) { } ["joins":protected]=> array(0) { } ["select":protected]=> array(1) { ["t0_c0"]=> string(5) "t0.id" } ["limit":protected]=> NULL ["offset":protected]=> NULL ["rows_limit":protected]=> NULL ["rows_offset":protected]=> NULL ["where":protected]=> array(1) { [0]=> array(2) { [0]=> string(9) "and_where" [1]=> array(3) { [0]=> string(5) "t0.id" [1]=> string(1) "=" [2]=> int(3) } } } ["order_by":protected]=> array(0) { } ["values":protected]=> array(0) { } } that's is not return id or title field. but when i'm try by adding get_one() method $article = Model_Article::find(null, array('id','title'))->where('id', 3)->get_one(); id is return , but title is not and another field, i don't know why ? Reference ORM Discussion FuelPHP it's say ORM currently will be select all column, no plans to change that at the moment.   • c++ Array passing dilemma

    - by Thomas
    Hi, I am writing a function that takes a string, string pointer and an int. The function splits the string based on a set of rules and puts each token into an array. I need to return the array out of the function with the number of elements in the int variable etc. I am stuck as to how I return the array as I can not use auto other wise it is destroyed and I am reluctant to use new as I feel this is patchy. I have other ideas on how to go about this but would like to see how other people go about this first. I could also be wrong and it could be possible to pass an auto out of an array. I can also not use vectors so there goes a copy constructor.

  • Convert hex to decimal keeping fractional part in Lua

    - by Zack Mulgrew
    Lua's tonumber function is nice but can only convert unsigned integers unless they are base 10. I have a situation where I have numbers like 01.4C that I would like to convert to decimal. I have a crummy solution: function split(str, pat) local t = {} local fpat = "(.-)" .. pat local last_end = 1 local s, e, cap = str:find(fpat, 1) while s do if s ~= 1 or cap ~= "" then table.insert(t,cap) end last_end = e+1 s, e, cap = str:find(fpat, last_end) end if last_end <= #str then cap = str:sub(last_end) table.insert(t, cap) end return t end -- taken from http://lua-users.org/wiki/SplitJoin function hex2dec(hexnum) local parts = split(hexnum, "[\.]") local sigpart = parts[1] local decpart = parts[2] sigpart = tonumber(sigpart, 16) decpart = tonumber(decpart, 16) / 256 return sigpart + decpart end print(hex2dec("01.4C")) -- output: 1.296875 I'd be interested in a better solution for this if there is one.

  • PHP: How do I access child properties from a method in a base object?

    - by Nick
    I'd like for all of my objects to be able to return a JSON string of themselves. So I created a base class for all of my objects to extend, with an AsJSON() method: class BaseObject { public function AsJSON() { $JSON=array(); foreach ($this as $key = $value) { if(is_null($value)) continue; $JSON[$key] = $value; } return json_encode($JSON); } } And then extend my child classes from that: class Package extends BaseObject { ... } So in my code, I expect to do this: $Box = new Package; $Box-SetID('123'); $Box-SetName('12x8x6'); $Box-SetBoxX('12'); $Box-SetBoxY('8'); $Box-SetBoxZ('6'); echo $Box-AsJSON(); But the JSON string it returns only contains the BaseClass's properties, not the child properties. How do I modify my AsJSON() function so that $this refers to the child's properties, not the parent's?

  • C#: How to unit test a method that relies on another method within the same class?

    - by michael paul
    I have a class similar to the following: public class MyProxy : ClientBase<IService>, IService { public MyProxy(String endpointConfiguration) : base(endpointConfiguration) { } public int DoSomething(int x) { int result = DoSomethingToX(x); //This passes unit testing int result2 = ((IService)this).DoWork(x) //do I have to extract this part into a separate method just //to test it even though it's only a couple of lines? //Do something on result2 int result3 = result2 ... return result3; } int IService.DoWork(int x) { return base.Channel.DoWork(x); } } The problem lies in the fact that when testing I don't know how to mock the result2 item without extracting the part that gets result3 using result2 into a separate method. And, because it is unit testing I don't want to go that deep as to test what result2 comes back as... I'd rather mock the data somehow... like, be able to call the function and replace just that one call.

  • ASP MVC ViewData from one view to another (Html.Encode())

    - by Jacob Huggart
    Hello all, I have a page with a bunch of labels and checkboxes on it. On this page, the labels need to be easily customizable after the project is deployed. So I made all of the labels in this style: Html.Encode(ViewData["lblText"]) And I added a button on the page called "Edit Button Labels" that will only be seen by admins. When that button is clicked, I would like to load another view that simply contains a table of two columns. One column needs to contain the current labels and the other should have text boxes for the user to enter new labels. Then, once any changes have been made, I need to permanently change the "lblText" for each label on the original page. I have tried passing viewdata and tempdata to the "Edit Button Labels" view using both return view() and return RedirectToAction() with no success. Am I missing something minor or is there a better way to do this?

  • Is there a good (standalone) PHPDoc parser class or function in PHP?

    - by Kris
    Hi folks, I'm looking for some method of converting a PHP Docblock (as used for generating documentation by tools like Doxygen) into a structure I can inspect in PHP. For example, I want to parse the following lines: /** * Multiply two values * @CHECKME * * @author someone * @created eons ago * * @param integer $x * @param integer $x * * @return integer */ function multiply($x, $y) { return $x * $y; } Into something similar to: array( 'author' = 'someone' ,'created' = 'eons ago' ,'param' = array( 'integer $x' ,'integer $y' ) ,'_flags' = array( '@CHECKME' ) ); I explicitly cannot use PEAR or any such library, it has to be relatively standalone. Any given solution that is better than using a bunch of regexes after stripping away comment outline would be awesome.

I've seen other python programs writing strings to files, so why can't this one? Thank you very much for your help.

  • Problem with optional arguments in C #defines

    - by imikedaman
    Hi, I'm having a problem with optional arguments in #define statements in C, or more specifically with gcc 4.2: bool func1(bool tmp) { return false; } void func2(bool tmp, bool tmp2) {} #define CALL(func, tmp, ...) func(tmp, ##__VA_ARGS__) int main() { // this compiles CALL(func2, CALL(func1, false), false); // this fails with: Implicit declaration of function 'CALL' CALL(func2, false, CALL(func1, false)); } That's obviously a contrived example, but does show the problem. Does anyone know how I can get the optional arguments to "resolve" correctly? Additional information: If I remove the ## before _VA_ARGS_, and do something like this: bool func2(bool tmp, bool tmp2) { return false; } #define CALL(func, tmp, ...) func(tmp, __VA_ARGS__) int main() { CALL(func2, false, CALL(func2, false, false)); } That compiles, but it no longer works with zero arguments since it would resolve to func(tmp, )

  • Can you call compiled JRuby classes from java?

    - by John Baker
    So I came up with the general idea to write some code in JRuby, then access all the classes via Java. I have no idea if this is at all possible but I wanted to ask anyway. Lets say I have some JRuby code: class adder def addme return 22 end end If I compiled this with jrubyc is there any way I could then possibly do something like this in java: import adder; class anything { void testMethod() { adder a = new adder(); int x = a.addme(); } } After looking at it now it sort of makes me think that Java will have zero idea what sort of item test addme is going to return so that might not work. I don't know but I wanted to throw it out there anyway. Thanks

  • check for several conditions when a user logs in

    - by paul
    I would like to accomplish the following: If a username or password field is null, notify the user. If user name already exists, do not insert into the database and notify user to create a different name. if the username is unique and password is not null, return the username to the user. As of now it always returns "Please enter a different user name." I believe the issue has to do with the database query but I am not sure. If anyone can have a look and see if I am making an error, I greatly appreciate it, thanks. if ($userName or $userPassword = null) { echo "Please enter a user name and password or return to the homepage."; } elseif (mysql_num_rows(mysql_query("SELECT count(userName) FROM logininfo WHERE userName = '$userName'")) ==1) { echo "Please enter a different user name."; } elseif ($userName and $userPassword != null) { echo "Your login name is: $userName"; }
