IntelliJ IDEA plugin development: Get classes VirtualFile (or paths) for a specific source VirtualFi

Hi all. This is a cross-post from http://www.jetbrains.net/devnet/message/5264436#5264436 - I failed to get any answer on that forum for two weeks now, so I'm re-asking it here (please don't flame). This question refers to plugin development for the IntelliJ IDEA IDE, specifically targeting java development: Is there any API to get the list of .class files for given source file? I'm trying to write a plugin that creates a binary patch jar based on a changelist. I've managed to get the changelist and, from it, a list of source files (VirtualFile). Now I'm trying to get the compiled class files for these source files (I don't mind preforming a "make" or relying on the previous compile output). I've played a bit with ProjectFileIndex but could only find the classes root. I'd hate to do a "dumb" path-based search because inner classes (and inner anonymous classes) would make it difficult to get correctly. Is there such an API? Or am I doomed to parse the paths? Code working in jsFiddle but not in browser...

I'm trying to run the following code, written on my local machine: http://www.jsfiddle.net/WShdx/3/ Functionality-wise (ignore the broken images in the previous and next buttons, and the wrongly-sized main images) the click/hover function is working properly in jsfiddle. However, on my local machine it's not working at all. The code below works fine using jQuery UI 1.8 and jQuery 1.4.2 $("#sid_entry_box").autocomplete( {source:"autocomplete_sid.php?database="+database_name, minLength:4, delay:1000, enable:true, cacheLength:1 }); The database name is passed as a get parameter of the php call. In this application, I have two databases selected by a radio button. Since jQuery loads and assigns this function when the document is loaded, the database name is whatever was checked at that momemnt. What I really need to pass to the php call is the following: database=$("input[name=rf_database_option]:checked").val(); Is ther ean easy to understand way to be able to pass a dynamic dom value?

What is the best way to determine the path to the ISV directory?

MSCRM 4.0 Problem: I'm currently storing xml files in the ISV directory along with my web applications. From a plugin (or potentially a seperate app), I need to find an easy way to navigate to the ISV directory to read these xml files. This routine will be called extremely often, so processing minimization should be a strong consideration. Potential solutions: Registry: There is a registry key called 'WebSitePath' with the data 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CRM'. Could potentially use this to build the path. (Will this be the same on all systems/installations?) IIS directory data: Looping through the DirectoryEntries of path '"IIS://localhost/W3SVC"' I could obtain the the web application where description is equal to "Microsoft Dynamics CRM". (Will this be the same on all systems/installations?) Webservice: Create one to read and return the data contained in these xml files The webservice would have easy access to its executing directory. Database: Store the data of these files in the database. Help: Can anyone suggest a simpler solution to obtaining and reading a file from the ISV directory? If not, which of the above solutions would be the quickest to process? Thanks for any and all contributions.

What's an effective approach to debug NameErrors in Rails? I'm trying to use the desert plugin (0.5.0) and the edge version of Community_Engine. I've started from scratch and gone through the installation instructions. When I attempt to start my server, I get this error: "Constant RAILS_END from rails_end.rb not found (NameError)". Problem is I cannot find rails_end.rb, nor can I find a google reference to this file or error. I've verified that the required gems are installed and current. I've dug around google and desert, but haven't found any reference to this constant. Any ideas? Looking for Eclipse plugin: Lock source tabs in place

When working with java code in Eclipse I can typically juggle between 20-40 different files, but there usually are just two that I actively work with at the time (test and code). Going back to the code where I want to work after having debugged through 5-10 classes can be a pain. So what I would like to do is to be able to right click on the tab of a class and choose to lock them in place. The classes would then always be available as the first and second tabs furthest to the left in the editor. All other classes (and other files opened in the editor) would then fight over the remaining space in the editor like today. Is there a plugin like this? My google-fu might not be strong enough, cause I find nothing.

Whenever two concurrent HTTP requests go to my Rails app, the second always returns the following error: A copy of ApplicationController has been removed from the module tree but is still active! From there it gives an unhelpful stack trace to the effect of "we went through the standard server stuff, ran your first before_filter on ApplicationController (and I checked; it's just whichever filter runs first)", then offers the following: /home/matchu/rails/torch/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:414:in `load_missing_constant' /home/matchu/rails/torch/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:96:in `const_missing' which I'm assuming is a generic response and doesn't really say much. Google seems to tell me that people developing Rails Engines will encounter this, but I don't do that. All I've done is upgrade my Rails app from 2.2 (2.1?) to 2.3. What are some possible causes for this error, and how can I go about tracking down what's really going on? I know this question is vague, so would any other information be helpful? More importantly: I tried doing a test run in a "production" environment just now, and the error doesn't seem to persist. Does this only affect development, then, and need I not worry too much?

Devise within namespace

Hey, I'm trying to split my rails project in a front-end for regular users and a back-end for admins. Therefore i have created a namespace 'admin' so that i can easily control admin specific controller methods/layouts/authentication in the map admin. I'm using Devise to register/authenticate my admins only. Because it is only used for admins only i'm trying to move Devise to the admin namespace. I could not find exactly what i was looking for in the documentation of Devise but i tried something like this in routes.rb: namespace 'admin'do devise_for :admins end I also tried to make a custom Devise::Sessions controller but that too didn't seem to work out. Does anyone know how to do this? Should i just use the regular routes for devise with a custom(admin) layout?

How to pre-process CSV data for FasterCSV?

We're having a significant number of problems creating a bulk upload function for our little app. We're using the FasterCSV gem to upload data to a MySQL database but he Faster CSV is so twitchy and precise in its requirements that it constantly breaks with malformed CSV errors and time out errors. The csv files are generally created by users' pasting text from their web sites or from Microsoft Word docs so it is not reasonable to expect that there will never be odd characters like smart quotes or accents in the data. Also users aren't going to be readily able to identify whether their data is perfect enough for FasterCSV or not. We need to find a way to fix it for them automatically. Is there a good way or a reliable tool for pre-processing CSV data to fix any nits in the data before having the FasterCSV gem process it?

Rails Custom Plugin/Gem with Partials

I am writing a gem which provides helpers for views. The HTML I want to insert via the helper is complex enough that I'd rather write it in a _partial.html.erb file. How do I get the gem's view path include in the application's load_path? Note: the only gem I've found that does something like this is Devise. Thanks to Kasper Skårhøj and all TYPO3 developers for this great product and extensions. I am a TYPO3 user and want to build a scientific portal using TYPO3-YAML. I use the package tyaml_2.0.1_complete from if-20 Project. It includes TYPO3 4.7.4 + YAML and many extensions. Facebook like button, Twitter and G+ buttons have been integrated to News extension by Georg Ringer. What I need is; I want to place the same buttons (fblike, fbshare, twitter and G+) buttons at the end of every content element automatically. I am searching web for more than 2 weeks, and read many pages about it, but all of them are for the coders. I couldn't find a solution yet.I can apply them if all steps are written one by one, and clearly. For example; http://www.typo3tutorials.net/2012/06/typoscript-wrap-content-elemtents-with.html But my TYPO3 package uses fluid template and don't know how to apply it exactly. Please could you give me a link (in any language) explaining how to integrate these buttons to the end of "text" or "text with image" ce? Or can you write them step by step. Thanks much.

Plugin Framework - can there be too many addin assemblies?

Hi, The product I'm working on needs to be built in such a way that we have a quote engine driven by a pluggable framework. We are currently thinking of using MAF, so we can leverage separation of the host and addin interfaces for versioning. However, I'm concerned that we'd have lots of assemblies, it's likely that we'd have one for each quote engine addin - of which there could be 100 going forward, we also need to support multiple versions, so there could be lots of assemblies in total. The quote engine also uses WF to drive it, which means each AppDomain for each addin will need a workflow runtime associated with it. This seems quite heavyweight, however we can unload unfrequently used addins. Does this seem like a good design? We've also looked at a single AppDomain solution using an IOC container to load addin types, but I'm concerned that we won't be able to unload any of the assemblies, given their quantity.

NAVT WordPress Plugin - Not working on index.php

Hi there, I need to move my wordpress home page onto the actual index.php file but for some bizarre reason the NAVT plugin doesn't work on there. It also doesn't work on index.php when I put it in the header.php file. It works on all other pages as normal. ALSO, it does work in the footer.php file when viewing the index.php file so this is what makes it all the more confusing. Any ideas what it could be? I've disabled every other plugin so I'm pretty sure there's nothing conflicting. It's rather basic setup and I'm using NAVT default settings. Thanks, Michael.

I have a news feed where items in the feed are created from JSON returned from a server. When the user takes an action on an item, I want to remove it from the object via javascript. The feed looks like this: {"newsFeed":[{"feedId":"1", "title":"item1 title", "desc":"description of the item"}, {"feedId":"2", "title":"item2 title", "desc":"description of the item"}]} I'm trying to remove a JSON attribute or entry where the feedId is passed in via a variable using jQuery. Add JSON support to Rails app

I am experimenting with Rails and was wondering what's needed to allow/add support for JSON requests? I have a vanilla installation of Rails 2.3.5 and the default scaffolding seem to provide support for HTML & XML requests but not JSON. class EventsController < ApplicationController # GET /events # GET /events.xml def index @events = Event.all respond_to do |format| format.html # index.html.erb format.xml { render :xml => @events } end end # GET /events/1 # GET /events/1.xml def show @event = Event.find(params[:id]) respond_to do |format| format.html # show.html.erb format.xml { render :xml => @event } end end ... I'm new to this but it would appear as though i would need to add a format line in each method along the lines of: format.js { render :js => @event.json } couldn't this be done automatically? perhaps there's a template somewhere i need to update...or a flag i can set?
