  • Modifying the Codec List Object in an ASF file

    - by scompt.com
    Is it possible to modify the Codec List Object in an ASF file? In particular, I would like to edit the codec name and description. I realize that this won't actually change the content of the video, but it's necessary for the video to be verified by an external tool. Does anyone know of a tool that will allow me to do this? If not, does anyone have any suggestions about how I might go about doing it using the Windows Media Format 11 SDK?

  • counting paragraphs in text file

    - by robjez
    I need to create perl code which allows counting paragraphs in text files. I tried this and doesn't work: open(READFILE, "<$filename") or die "could not open file \"$filename\":$!"; $paragraphs = 0; my($c); while($c = getc(READFILE)) { if($C ne"\n") { $paragraphs++; } } close(READFILE); print("Paragraphs: $paragraphs\n");

  • One class per file rule in .NET?

    - by Joan Venge
    I follow this rule but some of my colleagues disagree with it and argue that if a class is smaller it can be left in the same file with other class(es). Another argument I hear all the time is "Even Microsoft don't do this, so why should we?" What's the general consensus on this? Are there cases where this should be avoided?

  • What is a good FAT file system for ARM7-TDMI

    - by Seidleroni
    I'm using the ARM7TDMI-S (NXP processor) and I need a file system capable of reading/writing to an SD card. There are so many available, what have people used and been happy with? One that requires the least amount of setup is best - so the less I have to do to get it started (i.e. write device drivers to NXP's hardware) the better.

  • Take data from an XML file and put it into a MySQL database

    - by Aidan
    Hi Guys, I'm looking to construct a script that would go through an XML file. Would find specific tags in it, put them in a table and fill the table with specific tags within them. I'm using MySQL 5.1 so loadXML isn't an option and I think that ExtractData() method wont be much use either.. but I don't really know. What would be the best way to go about this?

  • Place Eclipse Project File in Separate Directory

    - by Eddie Ringle
    I'm using a default Eclipse project file generated for my Android application, and I want to keep it in a targets/ directory (along with other eclipse-specific files) in order to better organize my project structure (I also plan on adding a target for NetBeans). Simple question, I suppose: Is this possible?

  • Get with the ajax data into a php file

    - by Max Torstensson
    I'm trying to build a login system with ajax and php. I use a log-view where I then save the data in ajax which brings into my doLogin.php (php file). My problem is that php file should never be any ajax data for when I build it into a class and a function VIEW: public function DoLoginBox() { //inloggning form-tagg... return '<p>&nbsp;</p> <div id="content"> <h1>Login Form</h1> <form id="form1" name="form1" action="Handler/doLogin.php" method="post"> <p> <label for="username">Username: </label> <input type="text" name="username" id="username" /> </p> <p> <label for="password">Password: </label> <input type="password" name="password" id="password" /> </p> <p> <input type="submit" id="login" name="login" /> </p> </form> <div id="message"></div> </div>'; } AJAX: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#login").click(function() { var action = $("#form1").attr('action'); var form_data = { username: $("#username").val(), password: $("#password").val(), is_ajax: 1 }; $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: action, data: form_data, success: function(response) { if(response == 'success') $("#form1").slideUp('slow', function() { $("#message").html("<p class='success'>You have logged in successfully!</p>"); }); else $("#message").html("<p class='error'>Invalid username and/or password.</p>"); } }); return false; }); }); </script PHP: <?php require_once ("UserHandler.php"); class DoLogingHandler{ public function Login (){ $is_ajax = !empty($_REQUEST['is_ajax']); if(isset($is_ajax) && $is_ajax) { $username = $_REQUEST['username']; $password = $_REQUEST['password']; $UserHandler = new UserHandler(); $UserHandler -> controllDB($username,$password); if($username == 'demo' && $password == 'demo') { echo "success"; } } } } ` $DoLogingHandler = new DoLogingHandler(); $DoLogingHandler-Login(); ?

  • How to parse the AndroidManifest.xml file inside an .apk package

    - by jnorris
    This file appears to be in a binary XML format. What is this format and how can it be parsed programmatically (as opposed to using the aapt dump tool in the SDK)? This binary format is not discussed in the in the documentation here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html Note: I want to access this information from outside the Android environment, preferably from Java.
