It is trivial to do for the oledb connection string as described here: MSDN Article on MSDASC.DataLinks().Prompt I've also found examples that use Microsoft.Data.ConnectionUI.dll and MicrosoftData.ConnectionUI.Dialog.dll from VS (HOWTO: Using the Choose Data Source dialog of Visual Studio 2005 from your own code). Unfortunately these DLLs are not licensed for redistribution. Is there a standard dialog for choosing a data source that can be distributed with my application?

  I have a C++ program that takes user input for fopen in order to initiate a file write. Could someone help me find a function which will return a FILE* and use the Windows specific version of mkdir in order to create the folder structure for fopen to never fail to open a new file in the specified location because one of the folders does not exist. • Eclipse JFace TreeViewer level auto expansion doesn't work

  According to the Eclipse documentation TreeViewer.setAutoExpandLevel(3) means that top-level elements are expanded, and their children, but not grandchildren. I used that in my code, but after setting the input the tree is not auto-expanded, neither on OS X nor on Linux. Expanding the tree manually (via mouse) works flawlessly. Am I missing anything?

However, there's an auto generated PK column (ID), and I need the ID for each newly created filename without performing a 2nd query. Is this possible?
