• Outlook 2007 GAL Phone List

  I just spent a lot of time populating Phone Numbers and Fax Numbers in our GAL/Active Directory. The goal of which was to replace our static *.xlsx file that we use as a corporate phone directory. I know I can see the GAL by clicking on the To... button, and I can see more specific info for a particular user, by adding them as a recipient and double-clicking their name in the To: field. Is there any way (inside Outlook) to have a laundry-list view of all users and phone/fax/mobile/address similar to the phone list view for contacts? Are there any other tools that might provide this functionality. I've used a GAL web interface before, but that cost $ and as I recall was challenging to manage.

• How can I get Skype to not stay minimized in the task bar?

  Since two or three updates Skype insists taking up a taskbar slot for its main window (I set it to use the “Compact View”, but it applies to the default view as well). Since I don't need the main window most of the time since I have individual windows for the contacts I'm writing to this is ? a taskbar button wasted if no other Skype windows are open and ? still in the way when there are other windows open as it's a window I never need but still sometimes mis-click on when the thumbnails show up. Is there a way to send Skype to the Notification area again?

I know about camera occlusion and have implemented it in 3rd person games, but I have no clue how I'd accomplish this in a first person game, since the camera doesn't move from the player at all. • IBM System i Permissions on Database views

  We have an IBM System i running IBM i OS v6r1. On this system, I have created some database views. What I want to do is give a particular user group access to ONLY these views and nothing else within the library in which the views reside. Is this possible? I had a user group that had read only permissions to all tables and views in the library in which my views are located, and access works when the user is under this usergroup. I tried copying the user group, and then assigning permissions to only include the views I have created, and access is denied. Does a user or usergroup also have to have permissions on the table from which the view originates in order to access the view?

  I have been having problems wrapping my brain around how to properly utilize the modular extension for Codeigniter. From what I understand, modules should be entirely independent of one another so I can work on one module and not have to worry about what module my teammate is working on. I am building a frontend and a backend to my site, and am having confusion about how I should structure my applications. The first part of my question is should I use the app root controllers to run modules, or should users go directly to the modules by urls? • MVC Validation with ModelState.isValid through a wizard

  I'm working on a small educational project on MVC 3, and I'm facing a small problem, when attempting to handle validation in my application through a wizard. I tried to get benefit from the ability of MVC3 to deliver content of a different view using the same URL, when handling an [HttpPost] method on a page. I my case,my main model's class contains about ten [Required] properties, that I would like to expose through a small wizard in 3 steps , So I want that the user may be able to enter his personal informations in the first step, then respond to some questions in the second stepp and finally receive a confirmation mail from the web application whit his credentials in the last step. I can't access the last step, because of the ModelState.isValid method that I use to handle validations, and which can't perform properly if I define some properties as [Required], but don't put them on the first view. As the replies to those questions remain in a couple of choices, I've thinked that I may use some nullable bool? for in order to avoid validation issues, but know that it's not the proper way. Are there someone who would like to help me find a way to extend my validation to those three steps ? Thanks in advance and sorry for my english, I'm not a native speaker.

Updated ubuntu (some certs were updates as far as i remember) and from this time, wired network stops working randomly and systematically. My driver is installed and activated, I have tried removing and re-adding the network, and various other fixes.   I'm ecstatically happy with my 12.04 on my laptop after loading it over my MS Vista... but there's just one thing, one little fly in the ointment.... While I can view our 2 Terabyte, shared hard-drive in the lounge (and copy files back and forth) I can't see my PC (when I boot up in Ubuntu 12.04) nor the Lubuntu computer connected to the TV (for movies, Youtube etc). Printing to the HP office jet on the PC doesnt work over the network either. Have had one dubious flirtation with Samba, which seems to be the only thing I've found that will 'work', however halfway through that "installation" everything just ground to a halt, the directions began to stop making sense... I was working from this page. Our Network consists of the following: Our Internet service is wirelessly sent to us from our provider to our dish on a pole. It comes into the house via an ethernet cable. We split it there to a phone, and to 6 other destinations (bedrooms, computers, and to another splitter in the lounge which has a wifi antennae and 4 ethernet ports). one port goes to the Lubuntu OS PC which is connected to the TV the second port goes to the 2 Terabyte harddrive (MS powered 'Mybooklive') (the other two are empty) My Ubuntu 12.04 laptop connects wirelessly to this splitter in the lounge. I know just enough about computers to get myself into an awful mess without too much trouble We usually can view friends' laptops when they get on our network (as they are invariably MS OS's) Our flatmate, who introduced us to Linux's computer is also invisible How can we make our Linux OS based computers visible on the network and share files and printing?

• Updating an interface to bootstrap

  I'm updating a web apps interface to bootstrap. There's a lot of existing CSS and Javascript/jQuery i'll have to migrate, most i'll scrap and use bootstraps. But for parts of the app that use datatables and such all that code has to be migrated. I'm working on a development server. The app has a header.phtml sidebar.phtml and a lot of content area view files. Right now i'm building static versions of view files say the header. I then open my existing header.phtml into notepad++ split screen with the static file and copy over the dynamic code. Then replace the old header.phtml with the one I just made. To make sure the header displayed correctly I had to add all the CSS and JS from bootstrap. This is conflicting with the current CSS styles and some JS conflicts as well. Should I go through the app note what JS I absolutely need what I don't and same with the CSS. Then strip all the CSS/JS from the old app that is not needed so it only has bootstraps and any other critical files and not worry about the way pages look as i'm making progress to updating them. I'd be working on mostly a wireframe of the old site without any styles until I get to applying bootstraps. Is this efficient or is there another way I can get through all these files and update them easily?

• Thunderbird's Grouped Inbox always shows all accounts

  I have four IMAP accounts "merged" into one using Thunderbird 2's "Grouped inbox" view. I want to take one of the four accounts out of the grouped view. It is a maintenance mailbox that contains a lot of status mails. Those mails tend to clog my "real" inbox. I am able to edit the Inbox folder using "Properties". In the list that comes up, it is possible to de-select the maintenance mailbox and everything works fine. However, if I restart Thunderbird, it will forget what I de-selected and use all four mailboxes again. Is there any way to make Thunderbird remember the change?
