    I've found plenty of tutorials / questions on Stackoverflow that deal with copying char arrays from C/JNI side into something like a byte[] in Java, but not the other way around. I am using a native C library which expects a byte array. I simply want to get data from a byte[] in java, into preferably an unsigned char[] in C. Long story short: What is the best way of copying data from a jBytearray in JNI? Is there any way to detect it's size?

    I've read lots of tutorials on how to deserialize a JSON object to an object of a particular using DataContractJsonSerializer. However, I'd like to deserialize my object to a Dictionary consisting of either Strings, Arrays or Dictionaries, such as System.Json does with SilverLight when I say JsonObject.Parse(myJSONstring). Is there an equivalent to System.Json that I can use in my WPF project?   • Why do you have to mark a class with the attribute [serializable] ?

    Seeing as you can convert any document to a byte array and save it to disk, and then rebuild the file to its original form (as long as you have meta data for its filename etc.). Why do you have to mark a class with [Serializable] etc? Is that just the same idea, "meta data" type information so when you cast the object to its class things are mapped properly?

I realise I could just make a new linked table for the participants, but I feel like that would increase my overhead unnecessarily -- what do you think?
