• Android: Enable selection in webkit

  Hello, I'am looking for a way to have a webview content selectable in the very same way as the stock browser does. user long presses the text the whole word is selected two pins appear at the word's boundary allowing the user to stretch/shrink the selection. I should note that Dolphin HD shows exactly the same text select functionality as the default browser (same icons, animation, etc), so it really should be possible. But I can't figure out how.   Hello, I am getting the following exception when I typo the SQL driver name or the database server is offline, basically any SQLException. I can't determine where the UndeclaredThrowableException is coming from.   i am inserting about 1943 records by these function into SQLCE.This is my insert function.Parameters come from StringReader(string comes from webservice).This function executes 1943 times and takes about 20 seconds.I dropped table's indexes,what can i do to improve it?I create just 1 time mycomm and sqlceresultset. • EF Code First Detached Entity not updating object reference

  I'm posting the exact entity: public class Person : ContactableEntity { public Plan Plan { get; set; } public int Record { get; set; } public int PersonTypeValue { get; set; } } I'm using the following code to update in a disconected context fashion: public void Update(DbSet MySet, object Obj) { MySet.Attach(Obj); var Entry = this.Entry(Obj); Entry.State = EntityState.Modified; this.SaveChanges(); } This is a method exposed by my dbContext Called this way: PersistentManager.Update(PersistentManager.Personas,UpdatedPersona); The problem is, EF will update any property but the referenced Plan object. Can someone tell me where is the mistake? In advance : the entity reaches the point of update with all the properties correctly set. EF just fails to update the FK in the Database (no exception though)

• Returning a JSON view in combination with a boolean

  What i would like to accomplish is that a partiel view contains a form. This form is posted using JQuery $.post. After a successfull post javascript picks up the result and uses JQuery's html() method to fill a container with the result. However now I don't want to return the Partial View, but a JSON object containing that partial view and some other object (Success - bool in this case). I tried using this method to render the partial as Html and send that. However this fails on the RenderControl(tw) method with a: The method or operation is not implemented.

• Activator.CreateInstance fails in Windows Service

  I have an issue with a Windows Service which throws a NullReference exception whenever I try to use var myType = Activator.CreateInstance(typeof(MyType)) There is no problem whenever I run the exact same code in a console window - and after debugging the obvious "which user is running this code" I doubt that it is a mere fact of changing the user running the service as I've tried to run the service using the computer's Administrator account as well as LocalSystem. I'm suspecting a Windows Update fiddling with default user rights but that's a bit of a desperate guess I feel. Remember: The type and assembly exist and works fine - otherwise I wouldn't be able to run the code in a console window. It is only when running in the context of a Windows Service I get an error. The question is: Can I in any way impersonate i.e. LocalSystem in a unittest by creating a GenericPrincipal (how would that GenericPrincipal look)?

  After asking this question, it looks like I need to use Ruby's PTY Module, of which there is no documentation. I have written this code to try to push content to Google App Engine because the python command sometimes asks me for my username and password.   I'm trying to write a custom MarkupExtension that allows me to use my own mechanisms for defining a binding, however when I attempt to return a MultiBinding from my MarkupExtension I get the above exception. I have: <TextBlock Text="{my:CustomMarkup ...}" /> CustomMarkup returns a MultiBinding, but apparently Text doesn't like being set to a MultiBinding. How come it works when I say: <TextBlock> <TextBlock.Text> <MultiBinding ... /> </TextBlock.Text> </TextBlock> But it doesn't work the way I'm doing it?

  I have recently installed msysgit on my machine (its running Windows 7) to use Git for some projects. A lot of my projects are under SVN, in which I use AnkhSVN in Visual Studio 2008 to commit etc. Since I have installed msysgit everytime I try to commit, update etc inside Visual Studio, the program C:\msysgit\bin\ssh.exe loads up, asks for my password, then Ankh throws an exception. I currently use Pageant to save my login credentials for SVN - I have TortoiseSVN installed, which is still working fine... Has anybody got any suggestions to get Anhk working again - without uninstalling msysgit? Thanks

  We need to render an ActionResult to a string to add pages to our internal search engine index. We settled on this solution to render to string. I've run into a problem with the ExecuteResult call used to process the View. Code Snippet: var oldController = controllerContext.RouteData.Values["controller"]; controllerContext.RouteData.Values["controller"] = typeof(TController).Name.Replace("Controller", ""); viewResult.ExecuteResult(controllerContext); // this line breaks I receive the following error: "Object reference not set to instance of object" error. I've confirmed viewResult is not null, so the exception has to be thrown internally in ExecuteResult. What could we be missing?

  Hi, Has anyone installed Faceted Search v3.0 for MOSS working with date columns? When I map a column of DateTime type and click the Search BreadCrumb webpart "remove filter" link (next to the edit filter link) an exception is thrown. The search Breadcrumb webpart throws an error when I click the "Remove filter" link (this is the one represented by the broken link icon - next to the "Edit facet" icon). This seems to only occur after clicking the "Remove filter" link for Facets of DateTime type after which it occurs on every instance for all Facets. • Can't set background colour for UIView from ViewController

  I have the following code in the view controller: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; ThemeManager *themer = [ThemeManager sharedInstance]; UIView *theView = self.view; UIColor *forBackground = [themer backgroundColour]; [theView setBackgroundColor:forBackground]; } but when execution gets to the setBackgroundColor line, I get the following error: *** -[NSCFNumber CGColor]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1237c40 *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[NSCFNumber CGColor]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1237c40' There's got to be something simple that I'm doing wrong, how do I set the background colour? Do I have to subclass the view and do it in there? I'd prefer not to have the extra class, even though that is better separation of the whole model/view/controller thing. Update: value returned by [themer backgroundColour] is constructed using colorWithPatternImage:, could this make a difference?

  I wrote a base class to help build my controllers more quickly and to remove duplication. It provides some helper methods, default actions and some meta programming to make these things easier to build. One of those methods in the base class is like this: def dynamicList(Class clazz) { def model = new LinkedHashMap() model[getMapString(clazz) + "s"] = list(clazz) model[getMapString(clazz) + "sTotal"] = count(clazz) model } The action that calls it, also in the base class, is this: def list = { dynamicList(clazz) } Unfortunately, when I go to list action in the controller subclass that inherits the base class when my application is deployed, I get this exception: groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: groovy.lang.MissingMethodException.dynamicList() is applicable for argument types: (java.lang.Class) values: [class project .user.User] at project.user.UserController$_closure1.doCall(UserController.groovy:18) at project.user.UserController$_closure1.doCall(UserController.groovy) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619) How can I hit grails over the head and just tell it do what I want it to do?
