  • spring mvc nested model validation

    - by hguser
    I have two models : User,Project public class Project{ private int id; @NotEmpty(message="Project Name can not be empty") private String name; private User manager; private User operator; //getter/setter omitted } public class User{ private int id; private String name; //omit other properties and getter/setter } Now, when I create a new Project, I will submit the following parameters to ProjectController: projects?name=jhon&manager.id=1&operator.id=2... Then I will create a new Project object and insert it to db. However I have to validate the id of the manager and operator is valid,that's to say I will validate that if there is matched id in the user table. So I want to know how to implement this kind of validation?

  • NSPopupButton Bindings with Value Transformer

    - by rdelmar
    I don't know if what I see with a popup button populated by bindings with a value transformer is the way it's supposed to be or not -- the unusual thing I'm seeing (at least with respect to what I've seen with value transformers and table views) is that the "value" parameter in the transformedValue: method is the whole array bound to the array controller, not the individual strings in the array. When I've done this with table views, the transformer is called once for each displayed row in the table, and the "value" parameter is whatever object is bound to that row and column, not the whole array that serves as the content array for the array controller. I have a very simple app to test this. In the app delegate there is this: +(void)initialize { RDTransformer *transformer = [[RDTransformer alloc] init]; [NSValueTransformer setValueTransformer:transformer forName:@"testTransformer"]; } - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(NSNotification *)aNotification { self.theData = @[@{@"name":@"William", @"age":@"24"},@{@"name":@"Thomas", @"age":@"23"},@{@"name":@"Alexander", @"age":@"64"},@{@"name":@"James", @"age":@"47"}]; } In the RDTransformer class is this: + (Class)transformedValueClass { return [NSString class]; } +(BOOL)allowsReverseTransformation { return NO; } -(id)transformedValue:(id)value { NSLog(@"%@",value); return value; } In IB, I added an NSPopupButton to the window and an array controller to the objects list. The content array of the controller is bound to App Delegate.theData, and the Content Values of the popup button is bound to Array Controller.arrangedObjects.name with the value transformer, testTransformer. When I run the program, the log from the transformedValue: method is this: 2012-09-19 20:31:39.975 PopupBindingWithTransformer[793:303] ( ) 2012-09-19 20:31:40.019 PopupBindingWithTransformer[793:303] ( William, Thomas, Alexander, James ) This doesn't seem to be other people's experience from what I can see on SO. Is there something I'm doing wrong with either the bindings or the value transformer?

On 1 I have configuration for replication (publication), and I would like to setup Express version like subscriber. but I can't to connect to publisher SQL Server replication requires the actual server name to make a connection to the server. Specify the actual server name, 'XXXX'. (Replication.Utilities) I have tried to cheat and added XXXX server name to hosts file, but it dos't help. Additianlly I used to run http://www.hagrin.com/332/fixing-sql-server-replication-requires-actual-server-name-make-connection-server-error action for setup publication in correct way What I need to do for successful connection ?

  • a query is inserted from PHPMYAdmin but not from PHP

    - by iyad al aqel
    i'm writing a php code to insert form values in a forum values $dbServer = mysql_connect("localhost" , "root", "") ; if(!$dbServer) die ("Unable to connect"); mysql_select_db("kfumWonder"); $name= $_POST['name'] ; $password= md5($_POST['password']); $email= $_POST['email'] ; $major= $_POST['major'] ; $dateOfBirth=$_POST['dateOfBirth'] ; $webSite = $_POST['website']; $joinDate= date("Y m d") ; $query = "INSERT INTO user (name, password, email, major, dob, website, join_date) Values ('$name', '$password', '$email', '$major', '$dateOfBirth', '$webSite' , '$joinDate')" ; //echo $query ; $result = mysql_query($query) ; if (! $result ) echo " no results " ; this works perfectly fine when i took the printed query and run it in PHPMyAdmin but when i run this code nothing happens , any ideas !?

  • Spring + iBatis + Hessian caching

    - by ILya
    Hi. I have a Hessian service on Spring + iBatis working on Tomcat. I'm wondering how to cache results... I've made the following config in my sqlmap file: <sqlMap namespace="Account"> <cacheModel id="accountCache" type="MEMORY" readOnly="true" serialize="false"> <flushInterval hours="24"/> <flushOnExecute statement="Account.addAccount"/> <flushOnExecute statement="Account.deleteAccount"/> <property name="reference-type" value="STRONG" /> </cacheModel> <typeAlias alias="Account" type="domain.Account" /> <select id="getAccounts" resultClass="Account" cacheModel="accountCache"> fix all; select id, name, pin from accounts; </select> <select id="getAccount" parameterClass="Long" resultClass="Account" cacheModel="accountCache"> fix all; select id, name, pin from accounts where id=#id#; </select> <insert id="addAccount" parameterClass="Account"> fix all; insert into accounts (id, name, pin) values (#id#, #name#, #pin#); </insert> <delete id="deleteAccount" parameterClass="Long"> fix all; delete from accounts where id = #id#; </delete> </sqlMap> Then i've done some tests... I have a hessian client application. I'm calling getAccounts several times and after each call it's a query to DBMS. How to make my service to query DBMS only a first time (after server restart) getAccounts called and for the following calls to use a cache?

  • jQuery Validation plugin: prompt for override

    - by Sam Carleton
    I have a jQuery form that has validation of a sort. It is a data entry screen with two 'recommend ranges', one is 36-84, the other 50-300. The business rules call for the values to be either blank or greater than zero, but to prompt for confirmation if the values are outside of the range listed above. I have seen some other threads that talk about setting the class="cancel" on the submit button. From what I can tell, this will simply disable the validation. I need to prompt for a "do you want to continue, yes or no?" and if no stop the submit, if yes, continue. Below is an example from the book Pro jQuery. By default the top row needs to be between 10 and 20 to submit. How would you change it so that it prompts you and if you say Yes it submits, no prevents the submit: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Example</title> <script src="jquery-1.7.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery.tmpl.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery.validate.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <style type="text/css"> h1 { min-width: 70px; border: thick double black; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; font-size: x-large; padding: .5em; color: darkgreen; background-image: url("border.png"); background-size: contain; margin-top: 0; } .dtable {display: table;} .drow {display: table-row;} .dcell {display: table-cell; padding: 10px;} .dcell > * {vertical-align: middle} input {width: 2em; text-align: right; border: thin solid black; padding: 2px;} label {width: 5em; padding-left: .5em; display: inline-block;} #buttonDiv {text-align: center;} #oblock {display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; min-width: 700px; } div.errorMsg {color: red} .invalidElem {border: medium solid red} </style> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { var data = [ { name: "Astor", product: "astor", stocklevel: "10", price: "2.99"}, { name: "Daffodil", product: "daffodil", stocklevel: "12", price: "1.99"}, { name: "Rose", product: "rose", stocklevel: "2", price: "4.99"}, { name: "Peony", product: "peony", stocklevel: "0", price: "1.50"}, { name: "Primula", product: "primula", stocklevel: "1", price: "3.12"}, { name: "Snowdrop", product: "snowdrop", stocklevel: "15", price: "0.99"}, ]; var templResult = $('#flowerTmpl').tmpl(data); templResult.slice(0, 3).appendTo('#row1'); templResult.slice(3).appendTo("#row2"); $('form').validate({ highlight: function(element, errorClass) { $(element).add($(element).parent()).addClass("invalidElem"); }, unhighlight: function(element, errorClass) { $(element).add($(element).parent()).removeClass("invalidElem"); }, errorElement: "div", errorClass: "errorMsg" }); $.validator.addClassRules({ flowerValidation: { required: true, min: 0, max: 100, digits: true, } }) $('#row1 input').each(function(index, elem) { $(elem).rules("add", { min: 10, max: 20 }) }); $('input').addClass("flowerValidation").change(function(e) { $('form').validate().element($(e.target)); }); }); </script> <script id="flowerTmpl" type="text/x-jquery-tmpl"> <div class="dcell"> <img src="${product}.png"/> <label for="${product}">${name}: </label> <input name="${product}" value="0" required /> </div> </script> </head> <body> <h1>Jacqui's Flower Shop</h1> <form method="post" action="http://node.jacquisflowershop.com/order"> <div id="oblock"> <div class="dtable"> <div id="row1" class="drow"> </div> <div id="row2"class="drow"> </div> </div> </div> <div id="buttonDiv"><button type="submit">Place Order</button></div> </form> </body> </html>

  • How to prevent google chrome from caching my inputs, esp hidden ones when user click back?

    - by melaos
    hi there, i have an asp.net mvc app which have quite a few hidden inputs to keep values around and formatting their names so that i can use the Model binding later when i submit the form. i stumble into a weird bug with chrome which i don't have with IE or Firefox when the user submits the form and click on the back button, i find that chrome will keep my hidden input values as well. this whole chunk is generated via javascript hence i believe chrome is caching this. function addProductRow(productId, productName) { if (productName != "") { //use guid to ensure that the row never repeats var guid = $.Guid.New(); var temp = parseFloat($(".tboProductCount").val()); //need the span to workaround for chrome var szHTML = "<tr valign=\"top\" id=\"productRow\"><td class=\"productIdCol\"><input type=\"hidden\" id=productRegsID" + temp + "\" name=\"productRegs[" + temp + "].productId\" value=\"" + productId + "\"/>" + "<span id=\"spanProdID" + temp + "\" name=\"spanProdID" + temp + "\" >" + productId + "</span>" + "</td>" //+ "<td><input type=\"text\" id=\"productRegName\" name=\"productRegs[" + temp + "].productName\" value=\"" + productName + "\" class=\"productRegName\" size=\"50\" readonly=\"readonly\"/></td>" + "<td><span id=\"productRegName\" name=\"productRegs[" + temp + "].productName\" class=\"productRegName\">"+ productName + "<\span></td>" + "<td id=\"" + guid + "\" class=\"productrowguid\" \>" + "<input type=\"text\" size=\"20\" id=\"productSerialNo" + temp + "\" name=\"productRegs[" + temp + "].serialNo\" value=\"" + "\" class=\"productSerialNo\" maxlength=\"18\" />" + "<a class=\"fancybox\" id=\"btnImgSerialNo" + temp + "\" href=\"#divSerialNo" + temp + "\"><img class=\"btnImgSerialNo\" src=\"Images/landing_14.gif\" /></a>" + "<span id=\"snFlag" + temp + "\" class=\"redWarning\"></span></td>" + "<td><input type=\"text\" id=\"productRegDate" + temp + "\" name=\"productRegs[" + temp + "].PurchaseDate\" readonly=\"readonly\" />" + "<span id=\"snRegDate" + temp + "\" class=\"redWarning\"></span></td>" + "<td align=\"center\"><img style=\"cursor:pointer\" id=\"btnImgDelete\" src=\"Images/btn_remove.gif\" onclick=\"javascript:removeProductRow('" + guid + "')\" /><div style=\"display:none;\"><div id=\"divSerialNo" + temp + "\" style=\"font-family:verdana;font-size:11px;width:600px\">" + serialnumbergeneral + "<br /><br />" + getSNImageByCategory(productId) + "</div></div></td>" + "</tr>"; $(".ProductRegistrationTable").append(szHTML); $("a.fancybox").fancybox(); //initialization $("#productRegDate" + temp).datepicker({ minDate: new Date(1996, 1 - 1, 1), maxDate: 0 }); //sanity check //s7test alert('1 '+$("#spanProdID" + temp)); alert('2 '+$("#productRegsID" + temp)); } //end function addNewProductRow i need the id to be refreshed when the user select a new product, but putting another span tag beside it shows that the span will have the new id will the hidden input will still have the previous id. is there an elegant way to workaround this issue? thanks

  • How do I start a service which is defined in a different package?

    - by Brad Hein
    I have two apps, one runs in namespace com.gtosoft.voyager and the other is com.gtosoft.dash. From com.gtosoft.dash I would like to start up the service which is defined in com.gtosoft.voyager... I think I need an intent, but what arg(s) would I pass to the intent before kicking it off with startService()? If they were in the same package I could just use Intent svc=new Intent (SettingsActivity.this,VoyagerService.class); startService(svc); Snippet of Manifest which defines the service <application android:icon="@drawable/voyagercarlogo" android:label="@string/app_name" android:debuggable="false"> <provider android:name="com.gtosoft.voyager.VoyagerCProvider" android:authorities="com.gtosoft.voyager"/> <service android:name=".VoyagerService"/> <activity android:name=".SettingsActivity" android:label="Voyager" android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity>

  • Problems breaking out of nested loops

    - by user1040281
    I have problems breaking out off these nested loops correctly. What the code is trying to do is to indicate that a customer has rented a certain movie. Both the movie and customer are compared to properties of arraylist objects and then if all checks out the name property and ID property of a movie object are added as a string to another arraylist. All this works correctly as long as I use the first movie (from movies) and the first customer (from customers) but if I try renting other movies further down my arraylist with other customers then it adds the rented movie to the customerRentedMovies arraylist but prints out the "else message". I figure I need to break out of the foreach(blabla) loops aswell? or could goto be used? Comments was removed (looked kinda messy, can explain further if needed) public void RentMovie(string titel, int movieID, string name, int customerID) { foreach (Customer customer in customers) { if (name == customer.Name && customerID == customer.CustomerID) { foreach (MovieInfo movie in movies) { if (titel == movie.Titel && movieID == movie.MovieID) { movie.rented = true; string rentedMovie = string.Format("{0} ID: {1}", movie.Titel, movie.MovieID); customer.customerRentedMovies.Add(rentedMovie); break; } else { Console.WriteLine("No movie with that titel and ID!"); } } break; } else { Console.WriteLine("No customer with that ID and name"); } } }

  • Problem with 2 levels of inheritance in hibernate mapping

    - by Seth
    Here's my class structure: class A class B extends A class C extends A class D extends C class E extends C And here are my mappings (class bodies omitted for brevity): Class A: @Entity @Inheritance(strategy=InheritanceType.SINGLE_TABLE) @MappedSuperclass @DiscriminatorColumn( name="className", discriminatorType=DiscriminatorType.STRING ) @ForceDiscriminator public abstract class A Class B: @Entity @DiscriminatorValue("B") public class B extends A Class C: @Entity @DiscriminatorValue("C") @MappedSuperclass @DiscriminatorColumn( name="cType", discriminatorType=DiscriminatorType.STRING ) @ForceDiscriminator public abstract class C extends A Class D: @Entity @DiscriminatorValue("D") public class D extends C Class E: @Entity @DiscriminatorValue("E") public class E extends C I've got a class F that contains a set of A: @Entity public class F { ... @OneToMany(fetch=FetchType.LAZY, cascade=CascadeType.ALL) @JoinTable( name="F_A", joinColumns = @JoinColumn(name="A_ID"), inverseJoinColumns = @JoinColumn(name="F_ID") ) private Set<A> aSet = new HashSet<A>(); ... The problem is that whenever I add a new E instance to aSet and then call session.saveOrUpdate(fInstance), hibernate saves with "A" as the discrimiator string. When I try to access the aSet in the F instance, I get the following exception (full stacktrace ommitted for brevity): org.hibernate.InstantiationException: Cannot instantiate abstract class or interface: path.to.class.A Am I mapping the classes incorrectly? How am I supposed to map multiple levels of inheritance? Thanks for the help!

  • Bind a ViewModel to a DropDownListFor with a third value besides dataValueField/dataTextField

    - by Elisa
    When I show a list of testplanViewModels in my View and the user selects one the SelectedTestplanId is returned to the Controller post action. What should also be returned is the TemplateId which belongs to the SelectedTestplanId. When the AutoMapper definition is run the Testplan.TestplanId is implicitly copied over to the TestplanViewModel.TestplanId. The same could be done by providing a TemplateId on the TestplanViewModel. When the user selects now a "TestplanViewModel" in the View, how can I attach the TemplateId to the controller action to access it there? The DropDownList does not allow 2 dataValueFields! CreateMap<Testplan, TestplanViewModel>().ForMember(dest => dest.Name, opt => opt.MapFrom(src => string.Format("{0}-{1}-{2}-{3}", src.Release.Name, src.Template.Name, src.CreatedAt, src.CreatedBy))); public ActionResult OpenTestplanViewModels() { IEnumerable<Testplan> testplans = _testplanDataProvider.GetTestplans(); var viewModel = new OpenTestplanViewModel { DisplayList = Mapper.Map<IEnumerable<Testplan>, IEnumerable<TestplanViewModel>>(testplans) }; return PartialView(viewModel); } public class TestplanViewModel { public int TestplanId { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } } public class OpenTestplanViewModel { [Required(ErrorMessage = "No item selected.")] public int SelectedTestplanId { get; set; } public IEnumerable<TestplanViewModel> DisplayList { get; set; } } OpenTestplanViewModel @using (Html.BeginForm("Open", "Testplan")) { @Html.ValidationSummary(false) @Html.DropDownListFor(x => x.SelectedTestplanId, new SelectList(Model.DisplayList, "TestplanId", "Name"), new { @class = "listviewmodel" }) }

  • Powershell - Select the values of one property on all objects of an array

    Sorry, I'm still a noob on Powershell and I could not find an answer on Internet... Let's say we have an array of objects $objects. Let's say these objects have a "Name" property. This is what I want to do $results = @() $objects | %{ $results += $_.Name } this works but can it be done on a better way? If I do something like : $results = objects | Select Name $results is an array of objects having a Name property. I want $results to contain an array of Names So, is there a better way ? Thx a lot

  • JPA/Hibernate Parent/Child relationship

    - by NubieJ
    Hi I am quite new to JPA/Hibernate (Java in general) so my question is as follows (note, I have searched far and wide and have not come across an answer to this): I have two entities: Parent and Child (naming changed). Parent contains a list of Children and Children refers back to parent. e.g. @Entity public class Parent { @Id @Basic @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) @Column(name = "PARENT_ID", insertable = false, updatable = false) private int id; /* ..... */ @OneToMany(cascade = { CascadeType.ALL }, fetch = FetchType.LAZY) @JoinColumn(name = "PARENT_ID", referencedColumnName = "PARENT_ID", nullable = true) private Set<child> children; /* ..... */ } @Entity public class Child { @Id @Basic @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) @Column(name = "CHILD_ID", insertable = false, updatable = false) private int id; /* ..... */ @ManyToOne(cascade = { CascadeType.REFRESH }, fetch = FetchType.EAGER, optional = false) @JoinColumn(name = "PARENT_ID", referencedColumnName = "PARENT_ID") private Parent parent; /* ..... */ } I want to be able to do the following: Retrieve a Parent entity which would contain a list of all its children (List), however, when listing Parent (getting List, it of course should omit the children from the results, therefore setting FetchType.LAZY. Retrieve a Child entity which would contain an instance of the Parent entity. Using the code above (or similar) results in two exceptions: Retrieving Parent: A cycle is detected in the object graph. This will cause infinitely deep XML... Retrieving Child: org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException: failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: xxxxxxxxxxx, no session or session was closed When retrieving the Parent entity, I am using a named query (i.e. calling it specifically) @NamedQuery(name = "Parent.findByParentId", query = "SELECT p FROM Parent AS p LEFT JOIN FETCH p.children where p.id = :id") Code to get Parent (i.e. service layer): public Parent findByParentId(int parentId) { Query query = em.createNamedQuery("Parent.findByParentId"); query.setParameter("id", parentId); return (Parent) query.getSingleResult(); } Why am I getting a LazyInitializationException event though the List property on the Parent entity is set as Lazy (when retrieving the Child entity)?

  • How to reference an embedded JCA resource adapater

    - by cg
    For our current J2EE project based on JBoss, we need to interface with a remote system using message driven beans and a JCA resource adapter provided as a RAR file by a third party. I would like to package and deploy the entire project as an EAR file to our JBoss server. Most notably, the RAR file should be embedded within the EAR file and not be deployed globally. All of this is working fine so far, but I'm not particularly happy with the way the RAR file is referenced. The jboss.xml packaged with the MDB for example, currently looks like this: <jboss> <enterprise-beans> <message-driven> <ejb-name>testBean1</ejb-name> <resource-adapter-name>test1.ear#thirdparty-1.0.rar</resource-adapter-name> </message-driven> </enterprise-beans> </jboss> While this is generally working fine, it will break when the EAR file is renamed to "test2.ear". Is there a way to reference the embedded RAR file without hard-coding the containing archive's name?

  • I have this broken php upload script

    - by Anders Kitson
    I have this script for uploading a image and content from a form, it works in one project but not the other. I have spent a good few hours trying to debug it, I am hoping someone could point out the issue I might be having. Where there are comments is where I have tried to debug. The first error I got was the "echo invalid file" at the beginning of the last comment. With these specific areas commented out the upload name and type that I am supposed to be grabbing from the form is not being echoed, I am thinking this is where the error is occurring, but can't quite seem to find it. Thanks. <?php include("../includes/connect.php"); /* if ((($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/gif") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/jpeg") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/pjpeg")) && ($_FILES["file"]["size"] < 2000000)) { */ if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0) { echo "Return Code: " . $_FILES["file"]["error"] . • Custom keys for Google App Engine models (Python)

    - by Cameron
    First off, I'm relatively new to Google App Engine, so I'm probably doing something silly. Say I've got a model Foo: class Foo(db.Model): name = db.StringProperty() I want to use name as a unique key for every Foo object. How is this done? When I want to get a specific Foo object, I currently query the datastore for all Foo objects with the target unique name, but queries are slow (plus it's a pain to ensure that name is unique when each new Foo is created). There's got to be a better way to do this! Thanks.

    I have an embedded form with a choice widget. I'm trying to pass a default value from the main form to the widget. I'm trying to pass the value to the form as an option, then once I have it in the embedded form do I just do something like: new sfwidgetformchoice(array(...,'default' => $this->getOption('default')) doesn't seem to work

  • Django | how to append form field to the urlconf

    - by MMRUser
    I want to pass a form's field value to the next page (template) after user submit the page, the field could be user name, consider the following setup def form_submit(request): if request.method == 'POST': form = UsersForm(request.POST) if form.is_valid(): cd = form.cleaned_data try: newUser = form.save() return HttpResponseRedirect('/mysite/nextpage/') except Exception, ex: return HttpResponse("Ane apoi %s" % str(ex)) else: return HttpResponse('Error') "nextpage" is the template that renders after user submit the form, so I want to know how to append the form's field (user name) to the url and get that value from the view in order to pass it to the next page.. thanks.

  • EF4: common interface for EF entities

    - by Feryt
    Hi. I have public interface: public interface IEntity { int ID { get; set; } string Name { get; set; } bool IsEnabled { get; set; } } ehich some EF entities implements(thanks to partial class) and extesion method: public static IEnumerable<SelectListItem> ToSelectListItems<T>(this IQueryable<T> entities, int? selectedID = null) where T : IEntity { return entities.Select(c => new { c.Name, c.ID }).ToList().Select(c => new SelectListItem { Text = c.Name, Value = c.ID.ToString(), Selected = (c.ID == selectedID) }); } Calling ToSelectListItems return exception: Unable to cast the type '<EF entity name>' to type 'IEntity'. LINQ to Entities only supports casting Entity Data Model primitive types. Why, any ideas? Thank you.
