• PHP - fgetcsv - Delimiter being ignored?

  I'm trying to output each line in a csv file, and it seems like the delimiter is being ignored... I'm sure my syntax is wrong somewhere, but can't seem to pinpoint it...   Why am I getting a compile time error for the two method headers at the end of my code in my class ArrayListTest? ArrayListTest: http://pastebin.com/dUHn9vPr Student: http://pastebin.com/3Vz1Aytr I have a compiler error at the two lines: delete(CS242, s3) replace(CS242, s, s4); When I try to run the code it states: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problems: The method replace(ArrayList<Student>, Student, Student)in the type ArrayListTest is not applicable for the arguments (List<Student>, Student, Student) The method delete(ArrayList<Student>, Student) in the type ArrayListTest is not applicable for the arguments (List<Student>, Student) at ArrayListTest.main(ArrayListTest.java:54) I fixed the compile time errors since I use Eclipse and Eclipse gives options of code you can use to fix the compile time error.   I need to split some info from a asterisk delimitted data. Data Format: NAME*ADRESS LINE1*ADDRESS LINE2 Rules: 1. Name should be always present 2. Address Line 1 and 2 might not be 3. There should be always three asterisks. Samples: MR JONES A ORTEGA*ADDRESS 1*ADDRESS2* Name: MR JONES A ORTEGA Address Line1: ADDRESS 1 Address Line2: ADDRESS 2 A PAUL*ADDR1** Name: A PAUL Address Line1: ADDR1 Address Line2: Not Given My algo is: 1. Iterate through the characters in the line 2. Store all chars in a temp variables until first * is found. Reject the data if no char is found before first occurence of asterisk. If some chars found, use it as the name. 3. Same as step 2 for finding address line 1 and 2 except that this won't reject the data if no char is found My algo looks ugly. The code looks uglier. Spliting using //* doesn't work either since name can be replaced with address line 1 If the data is *Address 1*Address2, split will create two indexes in the array where index 0 will have the value of Address 1 and index 2 will have the value of Address2. Where's the name. Was there a name? Any suggestion?

  I am trying to register some generic interfaces and resolve them . When ResolveAll is public static List<object> ResolveAll(Type t) { return myContainer.ResolveAll(t).ToList(); } I get a ResolutionFailedException with them message "The current type, Infrastructure.Interfaces.IConfigurationVerification`1[Infrastructure.Configuration.IMLogPlayerConfiguration+LoadDefinitions], is an interface and cannot be constructed. Are you missing a type mapping?" Any help will be great. Thanks in advance

  I'm writing a LaTeX document in vim, and I have it hard wrapping at 80 characters to make reading easier. However, this causes problems with tracking changes with in version control. For example, inserting "Lorem ipsum" at the beginning of this text: 1 Dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Phasellus bibendum lobortis lectus 2 quis porta. Aenean vestibulum magna vel purus laoreet at molestie massa 3 suscipit. Vestibulum vestibulum, mauris nec convallis ultrices, tellus sapien 4 ullamcorper elit, dignissim consectetur justo tellus et nunc. results in: 1 Lorum ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Phasellus bibendum 2 lobortis lectus quis porta. Aenean vestibulum magna vel purus laoreet at 3 molestie massa suscipit. Vestibulum vestibulum, mauris nec convallis ultrices, 4 tellus sapien ullamcorper elit, dignissim consectetur justo tellus et nunc. When I review this change in git, it tells me that all the lines of the paragraph have changed because of the wrapping, even though only one semantic change has occurred. One way around this problem is to have every sentence on its own line. This looks the same in the rendered document, but the source now is harder to read, because each line has quite a different line length: 1 Lorum ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. 2 Phasellus bibendum lobortis lectus quis porta. 3 Aenean vestibulum magna vel purus laoreet at molestie massa suscipit. 4 Vestibulum vestibulum, mauris nec convallis ultrices, tellus sapien ullamcorper elit, dignissim consectetur justo tellus et nunc. (If I soft wrap at 80, things still look bad, just in a different way.) Is it possible to have my text on disk with one newline per sentence, but display and edit it in vim as if the text of each paragraph was one long line, soft wrapped at 80 characters? I assume it requires some vim-foo rather than tweaking git or LaTeX.

  The tags might not be accurate since I am not sure where the problem is. Initially, I had a typo in the function 'foo', where I was passing the variable 'line' to writeResults instead of 'text'. 'line' is not defined in the function foo, it's defined in the main block, so I should have seen an error, but instead, it worked fine, except that the data was appended to the file multiple times, instead of being written just once, which is the required behavior, which I got when I fixed the typo. My question is, 1) Why didn't I get an error? 2) Why was the writeResults function being called multiple times?

• NHibernate stored procedure problem

  I'm having a hard time trying to get my stored procedure works with NHibernate. The data returned from the SP does not correspond to any database table. This is my mapping file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" assembly="DomainModel" namespace="DomainModel.Entities"> <sql-query name="DoSomething"> <return class="SomeClass"> <return-property name="ID" column="ID"/> </return> exec [dbo].[sp_doSomething] </sql-query> </hibernate-mapping> Here is my domain class: namespace DomainModel.Entities { public class SomeClass { public SomeClass() { } public virtual Guid ID { get; set; } } } When I run the code, it fails with Exception Details: NHibernate.HibernateException: Errors in named queries: {DoSomething} at line 80 Line 78: config.Configure(Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "NHibernate.config")); Line 79: Line 80: g_sessionFactory = config.BuildSessionFactory(); When I debug into NHibernate code, it seems that SomeClass is not added to the persister dictionary because there isn't a class mapping (only sql-query) defined in hbm.xml. And later on in CheckNamedQueries function, it is not able to find the persistor for SomeClass. I've checked all the obvious things (e.g. make hbm as an embedded resource) and my code isn't too much different from other samples I found on the web, but somehow I just can't get it working. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?

• how to do these in visio 2007?

  I am very annoyed with this software. I am unable to do many things with this software. In the book 'UML distilled' many features of UML are discussed which I am not sure how to accomplish with visio 2007. For instance, 1) I can't find the unary association. In the UML static structure under shapes panel on left, there are a lot of components like package, class, blah, blah, binary association, blah, blah, association class. But where is unary association. 2) For sequence diagram, I created a message (any of sync, async, call type message, ordinary message). The I tried to incorporate some parameter information. I went to the properties. There were a category called arguments. But selecting that shows a table where arguments are supposed to be shown. But all are diasbled. 3) For sequence diagram, there is no component delete (the big X) in the UML Sequence. 4) For class diagram, there is supposed to be a comment compartment where comments like mentioning the responsibilities are allowed using a comment prefixed with "--". But I am not sure how to accomplish them. 5) there is also supposed to be a way to indicate static properties of a class. But I am not sure how to do that in visio. 6) there is supposed to be a stereotype for class <. But in the stereotype drop down there is no stereotype. 7) where is the ball and socket component?

• .NET WebBrowser control with Adobe SVG Viewer

  I'm having problems with SVG files loading in a .NET 2.0 WebBrowser control. If I create a new WinForms application project, drag a WebBrowser control and a button onto the Form1.cs design surface, and add a line to the button's on-click handler to set the Url property of the WebBrowser control to an SVG file, I get two IE script errors at runtime (as in, the dialog you get when there is a Javascript problem). The only line of code I'm writing is therefore: webBrowser1.Url = new Uri(@"http://wiki.allegro.cc/pub/f/fb/Grozilla.svg"); This SVG file loads fine if I browse directly to the link with IE; the errors I get via my test app are: line 2, char 1, error: Invalid character, followed by line 1, char 1, error: Object expected (assuming I answer yes to the prompt to 'continue running scripts on this page'). I'm using IE 7.0.5730.13, Adobe SVG Viewer 3.03 build 94, Visual Studio 2008. Can anyone replicate this? Has anyone seen it/got any idea how to fix it? (edit: previously setting the URL in the constructor for the purposes of the example, but this raised the question of whether or not the control had finished initialising, so have changed the example to use a button - the problem still occurs. This bug originally appeared in production code so the example program I wrote was an attempt to isolate the issue and reproduce it as simply as possible.) (edit 2: having tested on several different machines, this problems seems to be related to IE7 - run IE6, and everything works fine.)

• How to copy an array of char pointers with a larger list of char pointers?

  My function is being passed a struct containing, among other things, a NULL terminated array of pointers to words making up a command with arguments. I'm performing a glob match on the list of arguments, to expand them into a full list of files, then I want to replace the passed argument array with the new expanded one. The globbing is working fine, that is, g.gl_pathv is populated with the list of expected files. • Drupal Views api, add simple argument handler

  Background: I have a complex search form that stores the query and it's hash in a cache. Once the cache is set, I redirect to something like /searchresults/e6c86fadc7e4b7a2d068932efc9cc358 where that big long string on the end is the md5 hash of my query. I need to make a new argument for views to know what the hash is good for. The reason for all this hastle is because my original search form is way to complex and has way to many arguments to consider putting them all into the path and expecting to do the filtering with the normal views arguments. Now for my question. I have been reading views 2 documentation but not figuring out how to accomplish this custom argument. It doesn't seem to me like this should be as hard as it seems to me like it must be. Leaving aside any knowledge of the veiws api, it would seem that all I need is a callback function that will take the argument from the path as it's only argument and return a list of node id's to filter to. Can anyone point me to a solution or give me some example code? Thanks for your help! You guys are great. PS. I am pretty sure that my design is the best I can come up with, lets don't get off my question and into cross checking my design logic if we can help it.

It seems to pass the variable, but nothing after the . works.

  I'm having some problems with python's built-in library gzip. Looked through almost every other stack question about it, and none of them seem to work.
