In the stdint.h (C99), boost/cstdint.hpp, and cstdint (C++0x) headers there is, among others, the type int32_t.
Are there similar fixed-size floating point types? Something like float32_t?
Hi,
How to create a small eps file from a Matlab figure. I use LaTeX and the eps that I'm getting with Matlab (R2010a) is of the order 6 MB. How to set the plot options to give an eps figure of smaller size.
Does the render options painters or zbuffer help?
Thanks a lot...
Hey all!
I have a developer designing a financial application to be used on a mobile phone via the phones browser. Now each page is 150kb wich to my opinion is way to large. No images are used as it is mostlyhtml buttons and css and possibly javscript.
How can i minimise the page size?
hi all

How can I get window's title, position and size if it does not support Accessibility API? Accessibility Inspector does not see it at all. Say, it's a xterm window in X11.app (X11-Applications-Terminal).
I'm running a process that does a lot of updates ( 100,000) to a table. I have the choice between putting all the updates in a single transaction or committing transactions every 1000 or so.
Ignore for the moment the case where a transaction fails and is aborted. I'm interested in the best size of transaction for memory and speed efficiency.
I will be using the table storage to store a lot of blob names, in a single string, appended to each other using some special character. This string will sky rockets pretty soon. But is there a maximum size to the length of a property for a particular entity ? in my case the string ?
In a header file, I have forward declared two members of a namespace:
namespace Foo {
struct Odp
typedef std::vector<Odp> ODPVEC;
};
class Bar
{
public:
Foo::ODPVEC baz; // C2036
};
The error generated by the compiler is:
error C2036: 'Foo::Odp *': unknown size
I'm guessing this is an issue with forward declaring Odp. How can I get around this?
I am using following code to resize the image.
Resize a UIImage Right Way
And I use interpolation quality as kCGInterpolationLow.
And then I use UIImageJPEGRepresentation(image,0.0) to get the NSData of that image.
Still its a little bit high in size around 100kb. when I send it over the network. Can I reduce it further. If I am to reduce it more what could I do ?
Thanks and Kind Regards,
We are looking at sticking some metadata into the X-Headers of email messages. These emails are for consumption by internal systems, and will be hosted on an Exchange server.
Is there a maximum size for the ammount of data that we can store in an X-Header?
Are there any limitations, such as special characters, that I should know about?
I have a custom control that I've placed inside a cell of a grid. I have some internal calculations I need to run based on the height and width of the custom control. However, I want it to resize based on the size of the cell.
So, my main question is... how to I programatically determine the height and width of a given cell?
I am working with Three20's PhotoTest2Controller (TTThumbsViewController). When I click a thumbnail and open the image (TTPhotoView?), how can I increase the size of the caption area? I need to be able to display more than 6 lines.
Hi,
I am using jQuery fullcalendar in my application. I want to display the calendar only on the right side of my screen but not sure how to reduce the size of the calendar. Right now it is displaying in the full screen
The following is entirely a math question.
As we know, PerspectiveProjection delivers perspective transformations in 3D represented by the interdependent values of fieldOfView and focalLength according to the following formula:
focalLength = stageWidth/2 * (cos(fieldOfView/2) / sin(fieldOfView/2)
Bjørn Gunnar Staal has prepared a good image to illustrate the situation.
Q: How to get the visible on-screen size of the DisplayObject (Cube on the above-linked image) to which PerspectiveProjection has been applied?
Our application uses a topic to push message to a small set of subscribers. what sort of things should i look for when modeling a jms message with respect to the size of the actual message to be pushed. Are there any known limits or is application server specific? Any best practices or suggestions on this topic (pun unintended)?
I am using Jcrop on an image that is resized with css for uniformity.
JS
<script type="text/javascript">
$(window).load(function() {
//invoke Jcrop API and set options
var api = $.Jcrop('#image', { onSelect: storeCoords, trueSize: [w, h] });
api.disable(); //disable until ready to use
//enable the Jcrop on crop button click
$('#crop').click(function() {
api.enable();
});
});
function storeCoords(c) {
$('#X').val(c.x);
$('#Y').val(c.y);
$('#W').val(c.w);
$('#H').val(c.h);
};
</script>
HTML
<body>
<img src="/path/to/image.jpg" id="image" class="img_class" alt="" />
<br />
<span id="crop" class="button">Crop Photo</span>
<span id="#X" class="hidden"></span>
<span id="#Y" class="hidden"></span>
<span id="#W" class="hidden"></span>
<span id="#H" class="hidden"></span>
</body>
CSS
body { font-size: 13px; width: 500px; height: 500px; }
.image { width: 200px; height: 300px; }
.hidden { display: none; }
I need to set the h and w variables to the size of the actual image. I tried using the .clone() manipulator to make a copy of the image and then remove the class from the clone to get the sizing but it sets the variables to zeros.
var pic = $('#image').clone();
pic.removeClass('image');
var h = pic.height();
var w = pic.width();
It works if I append the image to an element in the page, but these are larger images and I would prefer not to be loading them as hidden images if there is a better way to do this. Also removing the class, setting the variables, and then re-adding the class was producing sporadic results.
I was hoping for something along the lines of:
$('#image').removeClass('image', function() {
h = $(this).height();
w = $(this).width();
}).addClass('image');
But the removeClass function doesn't work like that :P
Is there any way of creating a combo box (<select>) with a size of 1? All the examples I can find allow for multiple selects but with a number of options visible at any one time. If this cannot be accomplished with bog standard HTML is it possible in a JS library such as JQuery?
Hi,
The limitation of one document in MongoDB is 4Mo. I have some documents really heavy with a lot of data.
How I know my document's size inside MongoDB with the ruby driver ?
Programming challenge: Given a set of integers [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] I would like to generate all possible k-combinations in ascending size order in Java; e.g.
[1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [1, 2], [1, 3] ... [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
It is fairly easy to produce a recursive solution that generates all combinations and then sort them afterwards but I imagine there's a more efficient way that removes the need for the additional sort.
Im new to testing with cucumber and have a question regarding the size of a 'Feature'.
Assume you can add a collection of items to a list and do the usual CRUD , is it preferred to create one feature for this complete set of CRUD actions or a feature for each?
What is the preferred/accepted method ?
At what point does an action become a feature itself ?
I am writing a an swt app that has an embeded GLCanvas and I wanted to be able to find out the size of the current cursor, is this possible? And if I cannot get it from JOGL then is it possible from either swt or awt?
I am trying to optimize the database buffer size, but i am finding the
SHOW TABLE STATUS
rather cryptic. I know that the data length is "165719261184"- how do i convert that into actual megabytes?
