  • How to ignore noiseXXX.txt files for a specific column in SQL Server 2005?

    I have a product table where the description column is fulltext indexed. The problem is, users frequently search a single word, which happens to be in the noiseXXX.txt files. We'd like to keep the noise word functionality enabled, but is there anyway to turn it off just for this one column? I think you can do this in 2008 with the SET STOPLIST=OFF, but I can't seem to find similar functionality in SQL Server 2005.

  • Evaluating IIS7 with Virtual PC?

    Hi, I wanna do some local developer tests of IIS 7 but I don't have Windows Vista, 7 or 2008 server - I currently run XP SP3. I have Virtual PC installed so I can use Microsoft's IE compatibility images - are there any time-limited images that I can use with Virtual PC so I can check out IIS 7? The IIS 7 "Try it" link points to this page. But the VHS is for Windows Server platforms only I think and I don't want an ISO? Any advice?

    Hi, I am pretty new to CakePHP, having been using rails for a little while. My question is, can anyone recommend a good user management, authentication and acl plugin or component for Cake? I have come across this one, but it has not been updated since 2008. If not can anyone recommend a good book/tutorial site for this kind of set up? I am more than happy to sit down and write this kind of thing myself, but would rather use a tested community plug-in. Cheers

  • ReSharper: Rename namespace not available?

    I'm trying to rename a namespace. For some reason, ReSharper isn't giving me the option to do so. I right click on it and choose Refactor, but everything except "Convert" is greyed out. I try the key combination CTRL R + R, and it says the command is unavailable. What am I doing wrong?     Hi recently I finished my WM6 Pro.6.1 application and happily learned that to put it into marketplace, it has to pass some tests. -Application Verifier -Microsoft Hopper Test Tool for Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1, and 6.5 I use VS 2008 and windows mobile 6.1 and I couldnt run none of these tests, Hopeer tool has a FocusApp c++ application which I must build and run before testing, but its a VS 2005 project and I couldnt run it on VS 200..and without it I can't test anything. any ideas how can I build that for VS2008?

    hi the win mobile 6 code tries to write files on network shared folder, but always gets UnauthorizedAccessException. I have checked permission and security setting on the folder and the code can read the file but just cant write to it. The code runs under administrator account which has full control over the folder and files. It is in vs 2008 professional with device emulator.Any help please? thanks very much.

I've got a DLL built with the DLLRegisterServer/UnregisterServer, and it's registered, but I'm having a little trouble figuring out what name to use to reference it (from a vbscript) and how to make sure my functions are exported correctly. I'm currently stuck on the basics of basics: How to install and configure sql server How to connect to it I installed Sql Server through Web Platform Installer, and have Visual Studio 2008 installed. Still, I can't understand how to connect to my server: I see that the SQL service itself (SQLEXPRESS) is running in both in services.msc and Sql Server Configuration Manager I try to connect to it via the Management Studio, but I don't understand what to do. I'm working on some legacy code that has several 100-200 line methods that contain a lot of duplication and I would like to abstract the duplication out.
