  • Is it possible to develop a remote desktop server application?

    I just want to know whether it is possible to develop an Android application that will allow remotely controlling an Android phone in the same way that remote desktop, or team viewer allows control over desktop operating systems. Is it possible on an unrooted phone? The basic functionlit required to acompolish this is would be the ability to capture the frame buffer and programmatically invoke touch on the device. Any feedback on this matter would be highly appreciated.

  • Hibernate custom join clause on association

    I would like to associate 2 entities using hibernate annotations with a custom join clause. The clause is on the usual FK/PK equality, but also where the FK is null. In SQL this would be something like: join b on a.id = b.a_id or b.a_id is null From what I have read I should use the @WhereJoinTable annotation on the owner entity, but I'm puzzled about how I specify this condition...especially the first part of it - referring to the joining entity's id. Does anyone have an example?

  • Programmatic Text Wrapping in TextView

    I'm working on a custom widget for my application to replicate the look of a Preference button for layouts. The issue is the 'summary' text wont wrap when it hits the right wall of the view. One of the goals I'm trying to keep is that this widget is completely made from java with no xml attributes. here's what the widget looks like at the moment: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/56017670/Screenshot_2012-09-05-17-22-45.png notice that the middle two don't wrap the text but the text obviously runs right off the edge of the widget below is the code I'm using to create the text view. public void setSummary(String summary) { if (!TextUtils.isEmpty(summary)) { if (mSummaryView == null) { mSummaryView = new TextView(mContext); mSummaryView.setTextSize(14); mSummaryView.setTextColor(mContext.getResources().getColor( android.R.color.tertiary_text_dark)); addView(mSummaryView); } mSummaryView.setText(summary); mSummaryView.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); } else { if (mSummaryView != null) { mSummaryView.setVisibility(View.GONE); } } mSummaryText = summary; } and here is the code I'm using to layout mSummaryView mSummaryView.layout( mPreferencePadding + mIconWidth, centerVertical + (mCombinedTextHeight / 2) - mSummaryHeight, width - mPreferencePadding, centerVertical + (mCombinedTextHeight / 2)); I've tried to add mSummaryView.setSingleLine(false); along with quite a few other tricks but they all ended in the same way.

  • Misplaced Layout after "home"-button and/or powersave screen

    Hi, I have an app which also includes a service with a Notification. Right now I am experiencing the foillowing problem : I start my app which will work fine after couple of minutes the powersave kicks in and I get a black screen I (or hte user) click the Menu-button to dismiss the black screen and to unlock the screenlock Now my (fullscreen) app will have "moved" like 30-40 pixels downwards, creating an ugly black border or hole. When I move the scrollwheel it will move up and down, and when I press the Menu button (showing my ap''s menu) it will "fix" the view... or I start my app which will work fine I press the Home button exiting the app, my service though will (correctly) keep running when selecting my service from the notification-bar I will get once again : -Now my (fullscreen) app will have "moved" like 30-40 pixels downwards, creating an ugly black border or hole. When I move the scrollwheel it will move up and down, and when I press the Menu button (showing my ap''s menu) it will "fix" the view... Any idea what the problem is ? The app is running on a ADP2 with Android 1.6 Thanks in advance ! Ok, after some testing I noticed that if I don't run the Activity on Fullscreen, but just leave the TtileBar away this won't happen... Still this is no solution to me, I want it to be fullscreen... Noticed siomething else, when I have the View with the black bar, and I press the home button it will "refresh" the View correctly just before actually going to the Home Screen :(

    Hi there! I want to change the post permalink schema on my WordPress 3.0-beta1 to use my new custom taxonomy. Today I can use /%category%/%postname%/ and the /my-category/my-post/ URL, that's nice but I need to use another taxonomy instead "category" one. I tried to use /%acervo%/%postname%/ but my URLs came with %acervo% on the URL instead the name of the "Acevo" (my taxonomy name) wich the post belongs to. I found something related to WP_Rewrite but without sucess...

  • Custom command in right-click menu not working

    I have added, via the registry, a right click menu option for all filetypes which is supposed to get the MD5 checksum for a file. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT*\shell\Checksum - Default: Get Checksum and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT*\shell\Checksum\command - Default: checksum.cmd "%1" checksum.cmd simply clears the screen, calls fciv.exe using %1 and then pauses. Unfortunately, whilst the option "Get Checksum" appears correctly in the right click menu, it doesn't perform the right action when clicked. When I click it an "Open With" dialog opens, which is of course not what I want. Both checksum.cmd and fciv.exe are in the PATH. checksum.cmd: @echo off cls fciv.exe %1 pause Anybody know what's going on?

    first i' d like to say this Forum was really helpfull for me that just started coding some weeks ago .. I succeed to do a quite nice app for the moment , than, but i m stuck on this : HOW COULD I CONTROL THE ALPHA OF A UIIMAGEVIEW , WITH A SLIDER EMBEDED IN ANOTHER VIEW ??? ; Basically i' like to do like the alpha slider of this : http://www.edumobile.org/iphone/how-to-make-an-app-2/controlling-a-uiviews-properties-for-ipad/ , but for a UIImageView.     The following image shows the size of a standard custom page: I've intentionally removed the panel on top, where you usually see Caption, Description and Logo. So you can see that the actual size of the page is quite small - there are gaps on top, left and right sides. Is there any way to resize the page, so there are no gaps? I want the image to take the whole space. I create the page using CreateCustomPage function.

  • Create room mailbox in Exchange 2007 - cannot view calendar

    I'm an application developer and I'm trying to play around with Exchange in order to integrate a room booking system with it. I've created a room mailbox and have set it so that it auto-accepts appointment requests. When creating an appointment as a standard user I can add the room as a resource and its availability will display. However, I can add it as a shared calendar to Outlook 2003 (Unable to display the folder. The Calendar folder could not be found) nor can I return the calendar folder using Exchange Web Services (again, could not find the folder). I've also created an appointment via Exchange Web Services with a room as a resource. The resource was successfully booked (as confirmed when opening it as the room's delegate) but it does not appear on the meeting as viewed by any of the attendees. Is there anything further I need to do in order to share this calendar? How do most organisations set up their Exchange with regards to rooms?
