  • How can I display a full designer file in c#?

    So I just got a C# program from someone that compiles and gives me a fully functional application. However, when I want to see the .cs{Design] file it gives me the following error: .ErrorStyle { font-family: tahoma; font-size: 11 pt; .... How can I convert this to an actual Design file?   • Cannot change the height of a combo box in the VS Dialog Editor

    Any combo box I create seems to be stuck at 12 dialog units in height. Microsoft's guidelines for spacing and sizing of controls in dialog boxes state that a combo box should be 14 dialog units high. I have even tried editing the resource file in notepad and recompiling in Visual Studio without opening the resource editor - but the combo boxes are still the wrong size! Any ideas?

    In all examples I can find as well as the automatically generated code i Visual Studio, events are set using the following code: button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click); But I can also write it visually cleaner by omitting the constructor wrapper: button1.Click += this.button1_Click; Which also compile fine. What is the difference between these two? And why is the first one mostly used/preferred?

Integration with Visual Studio and/or resharper is a plus and I have nothing against easy setup or a pointer to a tutorial. It is trivial to do for the oledb connection string as described here: MSDN Article on MSDASC.DataLinks().Prompt I've also found examples that use Microsoft.Data.ConnectionUI.dll and MicrosoftData.ConnectionUI.Dialog.dll from VS (HOWTO: Using the Choose Data Source dialog of Visual Studio 2005 from your own code). Unfortunately these DLLs are not licensed for redistribution. Is there a standard dialog for choosing a data source that can be distributed with my application?
