    Hi , when i try to start Moss Osearch service , iv'e got the following message , Services Could not start the Office SharePoint Server Search service on Local Computer. Error 126: The specified module could not be found I tried everything , try to add permissions to dcom config , nothing help . Can i reinstall this Service ? Any idea ?

  • Need a Security Scenario for asp.net webservice

    I have developed a .Net 3.5 windows forms application. I also want to design a website that has a webservice with multiple Webmethods to query the database on the host machine. I want the webservice to be called ONLY through my winapp and my website! And I don't want any other people to be able to call and use my webservice but only some people who have access to the windows application that I have developed. I need a good security scenario for this! I truly appreciate anyone who can help me because this is my first experience of developing a webservice and I really need it to be as secure as I mentioned!

  • Will rel=canonical break site: queries ?

    Our company publishes our software product's documentation using a custom-built content management system using a dynamic URL namespace like this: http://ourproduct.com/documentation/version/pageid Where "version" is the version number to which the documentation applies, and "pageid" is a unique string which identifies that page in our back-end content management system. For example, if content (e.g. a page about configuration best practices) is unchanged from version 3.0 and 4.0 of our product, it'd be reachable by two different URLs: http://ourproduct.com/documentation/3.0/configuration-best-practices http://ourproduct.com/documentation/4.0/configuration-best-practices This URL scheme allows us to scope Google search results to see only documentaiton for a particular product version, like this: configuration site:ourproduct.com/documentation/4.0 But when the user is searching across all versions, we don't want Google to arbitrarily choose one of the URLs to show in results. Instead, we always want the latest version to show up. Hence our planned use of rel=canonical so we can proscriptively tell Google which URL we want to show up if multiple versions are being searched. (Users who do oddball things like searching 2 versions but not all of them are a corner case, so we don't care which version(s) show up in that case-- the primary use-cases we care about is searching one version or searching all versions) But what will happen to scoped searches if we do this? If my rel=canonical URL points to version 4.0, but my search is scoped to 3.0, will Google return a result? Even if you don't know the answer offhand, do you know a site which uses rel=canonical to redirect across folders in a URL namespace. If so, I could run a few Google searches and figure out the answer.

  • Creating a desktop icon using JWS JNLP for a JavaFX app.

    I am trying to get a custom destop icon to be displayed for my app but for some reason no matter what I do the same default java icon shows up. I have tried everything I can think of and gone and compared my jnlp file with others whose icons seem to work ok. According to everything I have read the following should work fine.   • Send document to printer from web page

    I have a webpage that activates a print job on a printer. This works in the localhost environment but does not work when the application is deployed to the webserver. I'm using the PrintDocument class from the .net System.Drawing.Print namespace. I'm now assuming the printer has to be available to the application on the remote server? Any suggestions on how I would get this to work? Right now my app is running on Heroku, which charges $.05/hour per worker, regardless of how much CPU or memory the worker is using. This is costing me a boatload each month... up to $1200/mo.     Right now I am using this code to download files (with a Range header). Most of the files are large, and it is running 99% of CPU currently as the file downloads.     I am creating an RSS reader application that requests the RSS from my server. I mean, the RSS is first downloaded to my server, then application downloads it from my server. I want to create RSS cache for this. And for example, each RSS would be refreshed every 1 minute. So, If 10 users request RSS of example.com in 1 minute, my server will download it only for the first time, and in other 9 requests, RSS will be loaded from cache. My question is, Should I use a Database (MSSQL) for this purpose? or I should use files? I have no limit in Database size nor in file size... EDIT: I'm using ASP.NET for the server.

    Hi all, I recently installed TFS 2010 with the included sharepoint services on a single server. I am getting the following error multiple times on the project dashboard web page on the TFS2010 project protal after creating a brand new project in the default project collection. I am not an expert with WSS, so any guidance will be greatly appreciated. After reading a few articles I understand there are some DLL that are probably not declared as safe in a web config file. But I am not sure which DLL they are and where the web config file is. I looked at IIS to determine the directory structure in IIS is quiet different to the URL path ...Thanks very much.
