  • How do I get ASP.NET login status controls to display a Log In option?

    I have the following log in status controls on the top of my master page. It displays the logged in as, manager log in, and Log out options. However, when a user is not logged in, there is nothing displayed there. When the user is NOT logged in, is there a way to display a "Login" text link that takes you to the log in page and then "disappears" once the user is logged in? Any help is appreciated.     I am trying to make my own website and it was coming along quite nicely. It looked beautiful in Firefox when opened and worked wonderfully. But then I run it in any other browser and it does not work. How can I fix this?   • jQuery: tabs where the tab/content can be linked to

    My issue is simple. I have already implemented a tab system, and I'd probably spend more time implementing another one with the solution I need, than giving a shot at adapting the code I have, and learn something while asking :) My problem is that the tabs can't be linked to, I need to be able to link to a tab from another website or page, and have that tab get selected upon page load. ie: I have three tabs showing different products, by default tab 1 is active/selected when the page loads. From the home page I want to link to tab 2 but I can't link to tab 2 because it doesn't get selected. Not sure if that makes sense.   • IE6 secure and nonsecure error - nothing in Fiddler/no iframes

    Hi, I've got the issue of IE6 showing the "secure and nonsecure items" error on an SSL page. Looking into it though none of the usual causes seem to apply. There are no calls to http://, there are no iframes in the page, fiddler and httpfox both show only requests to https:// - what else can i check? In Firefox and IE there is nothing to suggest there is mixed content at all

  • Any tricks to stop flickering in between page transitions?

    Specifically, I am using a .hta to display pages. As the content is local, pages load instantly, but there is flicker as they redraw. Are there any tricks you can use to stop it flickering or reduce the effect? I heard somewhere that page transition effects can help, but does anyone have any ideas? Keep in mind that as its a .hta file, I have more flexibility, and can run vbscript etc. and do fancy things.

  • Text over floated images

    I need to put some text over a series of images in a gallery. I found many tutorials about the text part however the images need to be floated. Whenever I add float:left though the trick no longer works.   • Jquery class changing works, but doesn't effect another function like it should

    So I have content boxes that close and expand when you click an arrow. The content box has two classes for telling whether it is open or closed (.box_open, .box_closed). A hover function is assigned to box_open so when it is open and you hover over the header, the arrow appears. However, I don't want this to happen when the box is closed, as I want to arrow to remain visible when the box is closed. When the box closes, the box_open class is removed, but the function assigned to that class still works. Here's the jquery code for the two functions.   • Increase width of divs, displayed side by side, using draggable events

    I have two divs of fixed length as of now, which loads external URL by dynamically embedding iframes inside them. Divs are appearing next to each other - one on left and other right. As of now, I have fixed their width to 50% each. But, I want to give user a flexibility to increase the width of any div to view the URL inside easily without scrolling horizontally. Something like dragging the border separating the two divs to either left or right according to his need. Is there a way I could achieve this? Please suggest any library or something. I have gone through a library twentytwenty which is used for images. I don't know how will that work for dynamic iframes.   • margin between content and div overflow scrollbar

    I am using the following bits of code to keep my menu items fixed while allowing for the scrolling of content because it seems to be the most stable method across all browsers. body { overflow: hidden; } div.content { height: 100%; overflow: auto; } My problem is simple, and yet I can not seem to figure it out, the content inside the tag butts up against the scrollbar for the div area and it makes reading much more difficult. How can I get a margin between them (apart from floating a transparent image to the right to create space, there HAS to be a better way)?
