  • How to execute PHPUnit?

    - by user1280667
    PHPUnit can execute script like this: phpunit --log-junit classname filename.php (i need the XML report , for my continus integreation platform) but my problem is that i work with a MVC framework and all pages are called through pathofproject/indexCLI.php module=moduleName class=className ect with 3 arguments in total(when i use the shell commande and path/index.php argum=... with url) so i cant call phpunit pathofproject/indexCLI.php module=moduleName class=className . So i think to a lot of solution , i hope you can help me to use one of them. first how can i use phpunit commande with this type of calling, because i cant do it because he is waiting a classname and a filename (default comportement) if it possible !! when i call the same link in shell like this : php path/indexCLI.php module="blabla" ect ... i have the result of assertion in my consol , but cant use XML Junit option , can i do it ? my last solution is to call the link in a navigator like mozzila , but i dont know how to say to phpunit runner to chose XML report and not HTML report. the aim for me , is to have a XML report .

  • Is it better to echo javascript in raw format with php, or echo a script include that has been minif

    - by Scarface
    Hey guys quick question, I am currently echoing a lot of javascript that is based conditionally on login status and other variables. I was wondering if it would be better to simply echo the script include like <script type="text/javascript" src="javascript/openlogin.js"></script> that has been run through a minifying program and been gzipped or to echo the full script in raw format. The latter suggestion is messier to me but it reduces http requests while the latter would probably be smaller but take more cpu? Just wondering what some other people think. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • PHP Arrays: Loop trough array with a lot of conditional statements. Help / Best practices

    - by Jonathan
    Hi, I have a problem I don't know how to get it to work the best way. I need to loop trough an array like the one below. I need to check if the [country] index is equal to a Spanish speaking country (lot of countries) and then get those [title] indexes of the correspondent country and check for duplicates. The original array: Array ( [0] => Array ( [title] => Jeux de pouvoir [country] => France ) [1] => Array ( [title] => Los secretos del poder [country] => Argentina ) [2] => Array ( [title] => Los secretos del poder [country] => Mexico ) [3] => Array ( [title] => El poder secreto [country] => Uruguay ) ) To help you understand, the final result I need to get looks something like this: Array ( [0] => Array ( [title] => Los secretos del poder [country] => Argetnina, Mexico ) [1] => Array ( [title] => El poder secreto [country] => Uruguay ) )

  • Have to login twice. PHP sessions and login troubles with Chrome and Opera.

    - by Robert
    The problem I am encountering is that for my login form I have to login twice for the session to register properly, but only in Chrome (my version is 4.0.249.89) and Opera (my version is 10.10). Here is the stripped down code that I am testing on: Login Page: session_start(); $_SESSION['user_id'] = 8; $_SESSION['user_name'] = 'Jim'; session_write_close(); header('Location: http://www.my-domain-name.com/'); exit(); Home Page: session_start(); if ( isset($_SESSION['user_id']) ) { echo "You are logged in!"; } else { echo "You are NOT logged in!"; } Logout Page: session_start(); session_unset(); session_destroy(); header('Location: http://www.my-domain-name.com/'); exit(); Currently, under a fresh load with no cookies, if I go to my-domain-name.com/login/ it will redirect to the home page and say "You are NOT logged in!" but if I go there again it will say "You are logged in!". Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

  • PHP output of foreach loop into a new array.

    - by RobHardgood
    I know I'm probably missing something easy, but I have a foreach loop and I'm trying to modify the values of the first array, and output a new array with the modifications as the new values. Basically I'm starting with an array: 0 = A:B 1 = B:C 2 = C:D And I'm using explode() to strip out the :'s and second letters, so I want to be left with an array: 0 = A 1 = B 2 = C The explode() part of my function works fine, but I only seem to get single string outputs. A, B, and C.

  • PHP - REGEX - use string for pattern but exclude it from being removed!

    - by aSeptik
    Hi All guys! i'm pretty new on regex, i have learned something by the way, but is still pour knowledge! so i want ask you for clarification on how it work! assuming i have the following strings, as you can see they can be formatted little different way one from another but they are very similar! DTSTART;TZID="America/Chicago":20030819T000000 DTEND;TZID="America/Chicago":20030819T010000 DTSTART;TZID=US/Pacific DTSTART;VALUE=DATE now i want replace everything between the first A-Z block and the colon so for example i would keep DTSTART:20030819T000000 DTEND:20030819T010000 DTSTART DTSTART so on my very noobs knowledge i have worked out this shitty regex! :-( preg_replace( '/^[A-Z](?!;[A-Z]=[\w\W]+):$/m' , '' , $data ); but why i'm sure this regex will not work!? :-) Pls help me! PS: the title of question is pretty explaned, i want also know how for example use a well know string block for match another... preg_replace( '/^[DTSTART](?!;[A-Z]=[\w\W]+):$/m' , '' , $data ); ..without delete DTSTART Thanks for the time! • setting default value of superglobal

    - by Prasoon Saurav
    I have been working on a Timesheet Management website. I have my home page as index.php //index.php <?php session_start(); if($_SESSION['logged']=='set') { $x=$_SESSION['username']; echo '<div align="right">'; echo 'Welcome ' .$x.'<br/>'; echo'<a href="logout.php" class="links">&nbsp;<b><u>Logout</u></b></a>' ; } else if($_SESSION['logged']='unset') { echo'<form id="searchform" method="post" action="processing.php"> <div> <div align="right"> Username&nbsp;<input type="text" name="username" id="s" size="15" value="" /> &nbsp;Password&nbsp;<input type="password" name="pass" id="s" size="15" value="" /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit" /> </div> <br /> </div> </form> '; } ?> The problem I am facing is that during the first run of this script I get an error Notice: Undefined index: logged in C:\wamp\www\ps\index.php but after refreshing the page the error vanishes. How can I correct this problem? logged is a variable which helps determine whether the user is logged in or not. When the user is logged in $_SESSION['logged'] is set, otherwise unset. I want the default value of $_SESSION['logged'] to be unset prior to the execution of the script. How can I solve this problem?

  • Works in Firefox & Opera, but not IE 8

    - by Ai Pragma
    1) This issue involves just one html webpage, lets call it "ajax.html".2) I have AJAX functions in this webpage that work in both Firefox and IE8.3) I now attempt generating just the option values of a dropdown list of dates using my ajax functions, and it works in Firefox & Opera, but not IE8.4) The surrounding html code for the dropdown looks like this:<select name="entry_7_single" id="entry_7" onChange="Ajax_PhpResultsWithVar('./secure/db/SummaryCls.php','entry_8','dateval',this.value)"></select>The onchange call refers to an ajax function that successfully(both Firefox & IE8) populates a textarea(entry_8) with a description of an event associated with the date selected in this dropdown. 5) An onload call initiates the ajax function to generate the dropdown list values:<body class="ss-base-body" onLoad="OnLoadWebPage()">6) The js script that calls the ajax function is as follows:function OnLoadWebPage(){    Ajax_PhpResults('./secure/db/GenDateListCls.php','entry_7');}7) Since it works in Firefox, but not IE8, I throw the output of the ajax function into a Firefox large textbox and I get the following:<option selected value="8 JUN 2010">8 JUN 2010</option>                   <option value="9 JUN 2010">9 JUN 2010</option>                   <option value="10 JUN 2010">10 JUN 2010</option>                   <option value="11 JUN 2010">11 JUN 2010</option> 8 ) There are over a hundred generated but you get the gist of what the ajax function generates. Next I will list the PHP function that outputs the above dropdown values://///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////<?phpinclude_once 'SPSQLite.class.php';include_once 'misc_funcs.php';class GenDateListCls {    var $dbName;    var $sqlite;        function GenDateListCls()    {        $this->dbName = 'accrsc.db';        $this->ConstructEventDates();    }        function ConstructEventDates()    {         $this->sqlite = new SPSQLite($this->dbName);         $todayarr = getdate();         $today = $todayarr[mday] . • Using PHP, can I put variables inside of variables?

    - by Rob
    For example, take this code: $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url']."?get0=get0&get1=".$get1."&get2=".$get2."&get3=".$get3); This of course, looks very ugly, and kind of a pain in the ass to read. So my question is, would I be able to use something like this: $allgets ="?act=phptools&host=".$host."&time=".$duration."&port=".$port; $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url'] . $allgets); Very simple question I suppose, but my server is undergoing maintenance, so I can't upload it and test it myself. I suppose a yes or no answer will suffice, but if you have a more efficient way of doing this, that would be even better. :)

  • PHP urlencode() tacking on ?SID=xxx ... Why?

    - by retailevolved
    I am trying to output a simple link. This works great: $url = 'http://www.google.com'; echo $url; This doesn't work great: $url = 'http://www.google.com'; echo urlencode($url); The second example tacks on "?SID=xxx" to the end of the URL for some reason. How do I prevent this from happening? Note: The code to generate the URL has been changed to protect the innocent.

  • cascading dropdown value doesn't seem to get posted to my php page?

    - by udaya
    i am using cascading dropdownlist for showing states of a country... I get the country dropdown value but not the state dropdown value.... I am populating state values via ajax... echo $country = $this->input->post('country'); echo $state = $this->input->post('state'); When inspected through firebug it shows all the option values of my state dropdown then why doesn't it get posted? <select onchange="getCity(1,this.value)" name="state"> <option value="0">Select State</option> <option value="1">Andhra Pradesh</option> <option value="2">Arunachal Pradesh</option> <option value="3">Assam</option> <option value="4">Bihar</option> <option value="5">Chandigarh</option> <option value="6">Chhattisgarh</option> <option value="7">Dadra and Nagar Haveli</option> <option value="8">Daman and Diu</option> <option value="9">Delhi</option> <option value="10">Goa</option> <option value="11">Gujarat</option> <option value="12">Haryana</option> <option value="13">Himachal Pradesh</option> <option value="14">Jammu and Kashmir</option> <option value="15">Jharkhand</option> <option value="16">Karnataka</option> <option value="17">Kerala</option> <option value="18">Lakshadweep</option> <option value="19">Madhya Pradesh</option> <option value="20">Maharashtra</option> <option value="21">Manipur</option> <option value="22">Meghalaya</option> <option value="23">Mizoram</option> <option value="24">Nagaland</option> <option value="25">Orissa</option> <option value="26">Puducherry</option> <option value="27">Punjab</option> <option value="28">Rajasthan</option> <option value="29">Sikkim</option> <option value="30">Tamil Nadu</option> <option value="31">Tripura</option> <option value="32">Uttar Pradesh</option> <option value="33">Uttarakhand</option> <option value="34">West Bengal</option> </select>

  • PHP / Zend Framework: Force prepend table name to column name in result array?

    - by Brian Lacy
    I am using Zend_Db_Select currently to retrieve hierarchical data from several joined tables. I need to be able to convert this easily into an array. Short of using a switch statement and listing out all the columns individually in order to sort the data, my thought was that if I could get the table names auto-prepended to the keys in the result array, that would solve my problem. So considering the following (assembled) SQL: SELECT user.*, contact.* FROM user INNER JOIN contact ON contact.user_id = user.user_id I would normally get a result array like this: [username] => 'bob', [contact_id] => 5, [user_id] => 2, [firstname] => 'bob', [lastname] => 'larsen' But instead I want this: [user.user_id] => 2, [user.username] => 'bob', [contact.contact_id] => 5, [contact.firstname] => 'bob', [contact.lastname] => 'larsen' Does anyone have an idea how to achieve this? Thanks!

  • PHP / MYSQL: Sanitizing user input - is this a bad idea?

    - by Greg
    I have one "go" script that fetches any other script requested and this is what I wrote to sanitize user input: foreach ($_REQUEST as $key => $value){ if (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) $_REQUEST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string(stripslashes($value)); else $_REQUEST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string($value); } I haven't seen anyone else use this approach. Is there any reason not to? EDIT - amended for to work for arrays: function mysql_escape($thing) { if (is_array($thing)) { $escaped = array(); foreach ($thing as $key => $value) { $escaped[$key] = mysql_escape($value); } return $escaped; } // else if (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) $thing = stripslashes($thing); return mysql_real_escape_string($thing); } foreach ($_REQUEST as $key => $value){ $_REQUEST[$key] = mysql_escape($value); }

  • php - Can I integrate functions with same content, different names?

    - by Gal
    I have a couple of functions inside a class that essentially do the same thing: public function fn_a(){ return __FUNCTION__; } public function fn_b(){ return __FUNCTION__; } public function fn_c(){ return __FUNCTION__; } I need those functions to remain in their current names so I intentionally did not do: public function fn_($letter){ return __FUNCTION__.$letter; } I was hoping for some sort of way to minify the verboseness of code here, since they all do the same. The ultimate situation would be something like this: public functions fn_a, fn_b, fn_c() { return __FUNCTION__; } Another solution, if applicable, might be doing something like Class's "extends": fn_b, fn_c extend fn_a? What do you think guys?

  • How can this PHP/FQL code be modified to increase the performance and usability?

    - by Kaoukkos
    I try to get some insights from the pages I am administrator on Facebook. What my code does, it gets the IDs of the pages I want to work with through mySQL. I did not include that part though.After this, I get the page_id, name and fan_count of each of those facebook IDs and are saved in fancounts[]. Using the IDs ( pages[] ) I get two messages max from each page. There may be no messages, there may be 1 or 2 messages max. Possibly I will increase it later. messages[] holds the messages of each page. I have two problems with it. It has a very slow performance I can't find a way to echo the data like this: ID - Name of the page - Fan Count Here goes the first message Here goes the second one //here is a break ID - Name of the page 2 - Fan Count Here goes the first message of page 2 Here goes the second one of page 2 My questions are, how can the code be modified to increase performance and show the data as above? I read about fql.multiquery. Can it be used here? Please provide me with code examples. Thank you $pages = array(); // I get the IDs I want to work with $pagesIds = implode(',', $pages); // fancounts[] holds the page_id, name and fan_count of the Ids I work with $fancounts = array(); $pagesFanCounts = $facebook->api("/fql", array( "q" => "SELECT page_id, name, fan_count FROM page WHERE page_id IN ({$pagesIds})" )); foreach ($pagesFanCounts['data'] as $page){ $fancounts[] = $page['page_id']."-".$page['name']."-".$page['fan_count']; } //messages[] holds from 0 to 2 messages from each of the above pages $messages = array(); foreach( $pages as $id) { $getMessages = $facebook->api("/fql", array( "q" => "SELECT message FROM stream WHERE source_id = '$id' LIMIT 2" )); $messages[] = $getMessages['data']; } // this is how I print them now but it does not give me the best output. ( thanks goes to Mark for providing me this code ) $count = min(count($fancounts),count($messages)); for($i=0; $i<$count; ++$i) { echo $fancounts[$i],'<br>'; foreach($messages[$i] as $msg) { echo $msg['message'],'<br>'; } }
