Hi there,
If i have an array of strings for example
Static final String[] TEST = new String[] {
"g","a","b","t","e" };
How would i go about sorting this in alphabetical order please?
I want to learn how to make a social game in facebook. How to go about it. I think you would need a team of devs. What languages are used to make social games like farmville, happy aquarium, etc.
Are any tuts available or any book?
I am way too indecisive.
I have an idea for a (admittedly craptastic) GUI program, so I start writing it in C# .NET WinForms.
Then like halfway through I'm like, damn I should have written this in Qt.
So I start writing it in Qt and remember why I hate C++ STL iterators so much.
So in my head I go
LINQ C++ STL
So I'm like, maybe I'll do it in WPF, I like markup to make UIs hey this is kinda like web development (read: ez pz)
BUT ITS LIKE WHY GOD WHY CANT I JUST PICK ONE AND COMMIT
I need to be able to take multiple images and overlay a smaller one on top of a larger one and save the result as a single image.
How would I go about accomplishing this in C#?
I'm somewhat new to grails (not groovy though) and I'm working on a sample CRUD application. The issue I'm trying to solve is how to set a property on a bean based on a radio button before I update it in the database. Is the Form Helper http://www.grails.org/plugin/form-helper plugin the way to go? Will the bean have its value set regardless of if the button is actually clicked by the user or if it is left at its default value?
thanks,
Jeff
If I use the Finder's Go-Connect to Server and connect to an smb/afs, I can see the connection in netstat. But I can't see it in lsof. I also use LittleSnitch, and it fails to detect outbound connections from the Finder.
Why is this? Is there some sort of "Apple rootkit" that i'm not aware of?
I like to decompile and find out how does the developers make these games.
Is it possible and how should i go about it?
And also is it ok to take images from these games
Thanks
Using the django admin, I would like to be able to specify which models a user sees when he logs in. For a stretch goal, for each model types a user can see, I would like to specify a filter to limit which instances of the model the user can see.
Could someone please provide a pointer for how to go about achieving this?
Eclipse Helios periodically starts running a job which displays "Computing additional info". During this time, Eclipse is very sluggish, bordering on unusable. What does this job do? Can I shut it off?
I just hope that someone in the JDT team comes to sense and gets rid of it, make it go faster, or at the very least change it to something meaningful.
For example in git you could do
git commit --allow-empty -m"I like what this guy did"
I was considering using commits as a commenting system,
and I just wanted to see how that would go over.
Hi. I'm trying to compile some fortran files in Xcode, using a makefile made by me. The problem is that Xcode can't find gfortran compiler. I have it, because if I go to console and try to compile from there it works well.
Do you know how to add fortran compiler to Xcode.
Thanks in advance
I know there are third-party tools available but why must I go to another vendor for something as trivial as auto-formatting my SQL statements?
What prevents MS to provide a SQL formatting tool in SQL Server Management Studio? What's the catch?
And btw, is there a FREE tool available that would plug into SSMS?
Hey,
Here's my problem:
I have two frames, one on top of the other. The top one contains the menu and the drop-down part of the menu gets covered by the lower frame. How would I go about fixing this?
Side question: should I use frames or iframes?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
module MyModule
def my_method; 'hello'; end
end
class MyClass
class << self
include MyModule
end
end
MyClass.my_method # => "hello
I'm unsure why "include MyModule" needs to be in the singleton class in order to be called using just MyClass.
Why can't I go:
X = MyClass.new
X.my_method
To my understanding, the main difference is that a service account doesn't require a user to log in for authorization, while an installed application does.
I am making an Android app (an "installed application"?) that offers an in-app subscription, and doesn't require the user to log in to an account (a "service account"?). To get a Client ID for the Google Play Developer API, I have to declare it as either an installed application or a service account, and am unsure which to go with.
Hi,
I am trying to show/load different editor on different rows of a editorgridpanel. Like a textbox on one row combobox/superboxselect on another and it could be any order, random.
The conditions which dictate which editor will be shown reside in the database.
Please tell me if this is possible and if so, how do i go about it.. I have tried pulling the conditions asynchronously which are pulled on a click event for the respective column, but calling it async causes problems. Please advise
Hello, I am just getting started with Pylons and am confused as to how to account for exceptions. What is the proper way to error check user input (ensure a correct email address, check that it doesn't yet exist in the database, etc ...)? Should these checks go inside the model classes or somewhere else? Sample code would be great.
Hello,
I have a table which has a column called Direct of type char(1). It's values are either 'Y' or 'N' or NULL. I am creating a view and I want the value to be transformed to either 0 or 1 of type bit. Right now it's of type INT. How do I go about doing this?
Following is the code:
CASE WHEN Direct = 'Y' THEN (SELECT 1)
WHEN Direct <> 'Y' THEN (SELECT 0) END AS DirectDebit
Ok, so I've read both PEP 8 and PEP 257, and I've written lots of docstrings for functions and classes, but I'm a little unsure about what should go in a module docstring. I figured, at a minimum, it should document the functions and classes that the module exports, but I've also seen a few modules that list author names, copyright information, etc. Does anyone have an example of how a good python docstring should be structured?
i have a client who wants a his music artists to upload their music through the website. does itunes have an api that will alow these customers to upload their music to itunes through the website then have the music sold through the website, so that they dont have to go through itunes?
Given:
fruitid('Apple', 'Granny Smith', 1).
fruitid('Apple', 'Cox', 2).
fruitid('Pear', 'Bartlett', 3).
How would I go about finding only unique items for instance:
is_unique(FruitName):-
In the example clauses the answer would be Pear.
I'm also trying to add error handling to my code, so in this instance if an input is:
is_unique(pineapple)
How could I catch this and output an error message?
Thanks,
AS
In Eclipse, is there a way you can set Method Breakpoints on all the methods of the class without going to individual methods? The motivation behind is that, any time a method gets hit, it would go to that method in debug mode.
As i understoond, if we have local service of some application, as soon as the application goes down, the service goes down as well - is that true?
and if it is, how can we make an application to run all the time without go down? (without using Alarm manager). i though that the purpose of local service is to answer this situation: " to make the application everlasting"
please, if some1 could explain me this better,
thanks,
ray.
The answer could be subjective. The answer could be intuition. And I guess the answer could be found from the traditional modal versus non-modal debates.
But in general how do you generally decide which one to go for? What are their use cases?
Thanks.
