  • Git: Can I commit my working directory to a new branch without commiting it to a current branch?

    Somewhat new at Git.. I am working on a project, and had all of my tests passing on the master branch. I then made some changes, and when everything started failing, I realized that maybe I should have made those changes in a different branch. Is there I way I can commit the changes to a new branch without commiting them to my master branch, so that the master still has my passing tests?

This to avoid unnecessary processing on the resource. This is not the same thing as caching/memoization since it only concerns identical requests ongoing in parallel. Is there a term for the reuse of results for currently ongoing requests to a resource for the purpose of minimizing processing?

  • No postback on any button click on ASP.NET 4.0 application

    The weird thing is If there is a javascript onClick() on a button, postback works otherwise, there is no postback. This was working very recently. I am not sure what recent changes made to the application made this happening throughout the site. The solution suggested by this link does not work as well (that link is applicable to .NET 1.1 though). Any idea whats going on?

    Hi, I have a PHP page with two drop down lists. I am using AJAX to populate the second one according to the choice made of the first drop down list. My problem is that when i am posting both values of the two dropdownlists to another php page in which an INSERT query is being made, the value of the second dropdown list is blank (as if no value was selected from the second drop down list).     I've always wondered this, and still haven't found the answer. Whenever we use "cout" or "printf" how exactly is that printed on the screen?.   • Issue with .cab file (ActiveX) installation on Windows Vista and 7

    I have made an ActiveX control and have made its .cab file for automatic installation on client machine using Internet Explorer.. It working fine of Windows XP, but on windows Vista and Windows 7 its installation is blocked by UAC (User account control), and when I disable it, all things works fine... I have signed my .cab file with a certificate for development enviornment... What is the way to over come this problem.. I don't want to tell users to disable their UAC module...

I made some very minor changes to a project that had been working and now I am getting the following error: com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.ApplicationException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Could not add one or more tag libraries. The only change I made was to a backing bean method, no new UI components, jsp, etc. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
