    Say I need to use ajax to asynchronously ask the server for an xml file containing relevant data. What is the best practice on what this message should look like? Should it be a string like get_data or something similar? Should it be xml? I don't really need long polling since its a one-time (or close to it) request. Thanks.

    I need to send a SOAP message (with Python SUDS) with strings encoded in 'iso-8859-2'. Does anybody know how to do it?     After using hg qnew and hg qrefresh to create and update a patch that I want to apply to my repository, but the commit message that I wrote when I did hg qnew was not very good, it did not reference the ticket number from trac, and I would like to say something in it about some of the issues that my commit addresses.     I've installed just about every library/gem that I could find for memcached/memcache, but everytime I attempt to run my application I get this error: Error message: uninitialized constant Rails::Initializer::MemCache Exception class: NameError I have tried $ telnet localhost 11211 and memcached is definitely running. Any ideas? (I'm running Apache2/Passenger)

    I'm trying to get the same result of a .NET application (see the link Hide TabControl buttons to manage stacked Panel controls for details), but using the MONO runtime instead of the MS .NET runtime. Pratically, when the custom control is executed using the MONO runtime, the underlying message is not sent to the control, causing the tab pages to be shown... There is a portable solution which is elegant as the linked one? If it is not possible, what are possible workarounds (apart from removing/adding tabs at runtime)?

    I have a tcp socket sending three lines like this out2.println("message1\n"); out2.println("message2\n"); out2.println("message3\n"); and another tco socket receiving and displaying these messages like this System.out.println(in.readLine()); System.out.println(in.readLine()); System.out.println(in.readLine()); but only the first message is recieved and displayed, anything I send after that is not.

    Hello. Having single AMQ broker and 100 consumers connected. I would send the message to some specific consumer, so other consumers does not receive it (client-side filtering won't work). Simplest way is to create virtual destinations (name them queue:consumer-) for example and send messages there. However this will lead to 100 new queues which makes it more complex to monitor. Is there any other way to do this having single queue?

    Hi, I am currently running JDK 6 on Windows 7 and have installed the Unlimited Strength Policy Files. I wrote a Java app some time ago which used to work but now fails, giving an error message indicating that the SHA1PRNG SecureRandom is not available. I have tried printing a list of cryptographic providers available on the platform and it would appear that there are no secure random number generators available - does anyone have any idea why this might be?     Git treats lines starting with # as comment lines when committing. this is very annoying when working with a ticket tracking system, and trying to write the ticket number at the beginning of the line, e.g. #123 salt hashed passwords git will simply remove the line from the commit message. is there any way to escape the hash? i tried \ and !, but nothing works. whitespaces before # are preserved, so they aren't a working solution to the problem either.
