  • Listing an application's activity and intent-filters?

    I am interested in activating another application's activity. I know from reading the Android SDK that it's probably better to do this with an implicit intent. However, this activity doesn't reside in an application I own, so I don't know the action and category and data flags on the intent-filter. How can I examine an Android applications metadata like the activity classes and the intent-filters for those activities (if declared in the manifest)? Thanks!

I have to develop this patch with a friend of mine and we need to edit the same files on our computers (2-3 PCs). I dread having to deal with HTML, JavaScript etc. to build a high quality browser based user interface. I've got the full suite of Telerik controls. Is it possible to build a polished, somewhat feature rich browser UI while being sheltered from the archaic environment of HTML and JavaScript?   • aapt.exe has stopped working and R.java cannot be resolved after adding Google Play Services library to an existing project

    I'm trying to add new google-play-services_lib in my old project, due to which R.jave file is removed from the project. Also, as soon as i remove google-play-services_lib, i get my R.java file back. minimum sdk version is 11. I'm referring to following link: https://developer.android.com/google/play-services/setup.html I am following these steps to add library as a project == Right-click on My project - Properties In Android-Library section click Add select recently added project - Ok then aapt.exe has stopped working and R.jave file is removed from the project

  • decentralized development using git and git-svn

    We have 2-3 small teams of 2-3 people. We all use git for local and svn for central repository and git-svn got sync. This is works all the time except when we want to share our code between the team it self. So we have tried out git pull, this creates lots of conflicts and it does not detect that we are on the same tree. It fetches all the changes (same as clone then pull) Of course i dont want to clone full repo. every time I want to share. Please suggest a better flow. We can't get rid of central svn. We can't clone every time.

I was getting some exception when I was trying to run the website as it showed the "could not open the connection from con.open()". Is there some other step too that I am missing?

  • Agile web development with Rails 4 interface difficulties

    I've been following along with the examples in the book in making a online catalog and am having a couple of discouraging difficulties in Chapter 8 task C: Catalog display. I have input the code for the stylesheets as instructed but it has created a slightly skewed result as compared to what is shown in the book. Whilst minor and aesthetic in nature its a little shock to my confidence and slightly irritating when trying to carry on through the book. I've been through the code time and time again but can't seem find out where I've gone wrong. Could anybody give me some clues?
