  • Python - Polymorphism in wxPython, What's wrong?

    I am trying to wright a simple custom button in wx.Python. My code is as follows, an error is thrown on line 19 of my "Custom_Button.py" - What is going on? I can find no help online for this error and have a suspicion that it has to do with the Polymorphism. Briefly, there are 81 cards with the four features: symbol (oval, squiggle or diamond), color (red, purple or green), number (one, two or three) or shading (solid, striped or open). The task is to find (from selected 12 cards) a SET of 3 cards, in which each of the four features is either all the same on each card or all different on each card (no 2+1 combination). In my free time I've decided to code it in MATLAB to find a solution and to estimate odds of having a set in randomly selected cards.   • Running out of memory while analyzing a Java Heap Dump

    Hi, I have a curious problem, I need to analyze a Java heap dump (from an IBM JRE) which has 1.5GB in size, the problem is that while analyzing the dump (I've tried HeapAnalyzer and the IBM Memory Analyzer 0.5) the tools runs out of memory I can't really analyze the dump. I have 3GB of RAM in my machine, but seems like it's not enough to analyze the 1.5 GB dump, My question is, do you know a specific tool for heap dump analysis (supporting IBM JRE dumps) that I could run with the amount of memory I have?   • False sense of security with `snprintf_s`

    MSVC's "secure" sprintf funcions have a template version that 'knows' the size of the target buffer. However, this code happily paints 567890 over the stack after the end of bytes... char bytes[5]; _snprintf_s( bytes, _TRUNCATE, "%s", "1234567890" ); Any idea what I do wrong, or is this a known bug? (I'm working in VS2005 - didn't test in 2008 or 2010)

    I have a programmatically created TableLayoutPanel. It works fine but I couldn't find something: how can I make it size columns automatically when the form is resized? The panel is set to Dock.Top and when I resize the form instead of sizing every column as percents, only last column grows. What can I do for this?     Hi All, I have ear deployed in jboss 5.0.1, on windows 2008 which is 64 bit machine and we are using 64jvm, with this combination our VFS temp size increases a lot eventually all our physical hard drive space is used by replicating files. but if we change our JVm from 64 to 32 every thing looks ok. does any one one what is reason ?and possible solution as we want ot use 64bit jvm.
