  • Mobile app for sysadmins with monitoring and fixing tools(SSH, ping, traceroute) [closed]

    - by Roman
I present a start-up company which is working on a new mobile tool for system administrators. Our team has released first several versions of Server Auditor which is now just a SSH terminal with special UI approach for touch devices and got quite good feedbacks, e.g. iOS and Android. Now we are thinking about adding extra features to make Server Auditor a tool number one for all system administrators and would like to know your opinion. Main question would you use a tool like Server Auditor with extra features described below: Fast problem fixing - preloaded recipes/snippets, e.g. clean logs, restart a process, reboot etc. Secure user data synchronisation(IP/DNS name, connection options, keys, snippets) across all your devices iPhone and Android. Built-in tools like ping, traceroute, whois System status integration - you can observe information about the system in a friendly way, e.g CPU load, hard drive and RAM usage etc. Monitoring tool integration. Your servers are watched by our Nagios-like system in the cloud and you get notified by push-notifications/SMS. Similar products are Server Density, CopperEgg. If we start to implement features from 1 to 5 when you will be ready to start use it or even potentially pay for it? Can you see any issues that would prevent you from using this kind of system? Thank you a lot for your time, we kindly appreciate it. Looking forward to hear your opinion

  • Parsing GeoRSS Feed with jQuery

    - by senfo
I'm attempting to use the jQuery jFeed plugin for parsing an Atom, GeoRSS feed and I'm running into issues extracting the information I need. For example, I need to extract the summary element and I would like to render the contents in a div on my HTML page. Additionally, I'd like to extract the contents from the georss:point elements and pass them into Google Maps to render them as points on a map. The problem is that it seems jFeed is stripping out the GeoRSS-related information. For example, I can extract the title element without issues, but it seems it doesn't extract the summary or georss:point elements, at all. Following is a snippet of the XML I'm working with: <feed xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" xmlns:georss="http://www.georss.org/georss"> <title>Search Results from DataWarehouse.HRSA.gov</title> <link rel="self" href="http://datawarehouse.hrsa.gov/HGDWDataWebService/HGDWDataService.aspx?service=HC&zip=20002&radius=10"/> <link rel="alternate" href="http://datawarehouse.hrsa.gov/"/> <author> <name>HRSA Geospatial Data Warehouse</name> </author> <id>tag:datawarehouse.hrsa.gov,2010-04-05:/</id> <updated>2010-04-05T19:25:28-05:00</updated> <entry> <title>Christ House</title> <link href="http://www.christhouse.org" /> <id>tag:datawarehouse.hrsa.gov,2010-04-05:/D388C4C6-FFA4-4091-819B-64D67DC64931</id> <summary type="xhtml"> <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <div class="vcard"> <div class="fn org">Christ House</div> <div class="adr"> <div class="street-address">1717 Columbia Rd. Am I doing something wrong or was jFeed simply not designed to work the way I want it to?

  • WCF REST Question, Binding, Configuration

    - by Ethan McGee
I am working on a WCF rest interface using json. I have wrapped the service in a windows service to host the service but I am now having trouble getting the service to be callable. I am not sure exactly what is wrong. The basic idea is that I want to host the service on a remote server so I want the service mapped to port localhost:7600 so that it can be invoked by posting data to [server_ip]:7600. The problem is most likely in the configuration file, since I am new to WCF and Rest I wasn't really sure what to type for the configuration so sorry if it's a total mess. I removed several chunks of code and comments to make it a little easier to read. These functions should have no bearing on the service since they call only C# functions. • How to find problem with PHP XSLTProcessor when return from transformToXML is false and libxml_get_

    - by John
I'm working on the code below to allow HTTP user agents that cannot perform XSL transformations to view the resources on my server. I'm mystified because the result of transformToXML is false, but the result of libxml_get_errors() is an empty array. As you can see, the code outputs the LibXSLT version ID and I'm getting the problem on WinVista with version 1.1.24. Is libxml_get_errors() not the right function to get the errors from the XSLTProcessor object? If you're interested in the XML documents, you can get them from http://bobberinteractive.com/index.xhtml and .../stylesheets/layout.xsl <?php //redirect browsers that can handle the source files. if (strpos ( $_SERVER ['HTTP_ACCEPT'], 'application/xhtml+xml' )) { header ( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" ); header ( "Location: http://" . $_SERVER ['SERVER_NAME'] . • How do I convert Data::Dumper output back into a Perl data structure?

    - by newbee_me
Hi all! I was wondering if you could shed some lights regarding the code I've been doing for a couple of days. I've been trying to convert a Perl-parsed hash back to XML using the XMLout() and XMLin() method and it has been quite successful with this format. #!/usr/bin/perl -w use strict; # use module use IO::File; use XML::Simple; use XML::Dumper; use Data::Dumper; my $dump = new XML::Dumper; my ( $data, $VAR1 ); Topology:$VAR1 = { 'device' => { 'FOC1047Z2SZ' => { 'ChassisID' => '2009-09', 'Error' => undef, 'Group' => { 'ID' => 'A1', 'Type' => 'Base' }, 'Model' => 'CATALYST', 'Name' => 'CISCO-SW1', 'Neighbor' => {}, 'ProbedIP' => 'TEST', 'isDerived' => 0 } }, 'issues' => [ 'TEST' ] }; # create object my $xml = new XML::Simple (NoAttr=>1, RootName=>'data', SuppressEmpty => 'true'); # convert Perl array ref into XML document $data = $xml->XMLout($VAR1); #reads an XML file my $X_out = $xml->XMLin($data); # access XML data print Dumper($data); print "STATUS: $X_out->{issues}\n"; print "CHASSIS ID: $X_out->{device}{ChassisID}\n"; print "GROUP ID: $X_out->{device}{Group}{ID}\n"; print "DEVICE NAME: $X_out->{device}{Name}\n"; print "DEVICE NAME: $X_out->{device}{name}\n"; print "ERROR: $X_out->{device}{error}\n"; I can access all the element in the XML with no problem. But when I try to create a file that will house the parsed hash, problem arises because I can't seem to access all the XML elements. I guess, I wasn't able to unparse the file with the following code. #!/usr/bin/perl -w use strict; #!/usr/bin/perl # use module use IO::File; use XML::Simple; use XML::Dumper; use Data::Dumper; my $dump = new XML::Dumper; my ( $data, $VAR1, $line_Holder ); #this is the file that contains the parsed hash my $saveOut = "C:/parsed_hash.txt"; my $result_Holder = IO::File->new($saveOut, 'r'); while ($line_Holder = $result_Holder->getline){ print $line_Holder; } # create object my $xml = new XML::Simple (NoAttr=>1, RootName=>'data', SuppressEmpty => 'true'); # convert Perl array ref into XML document $data = $xml->XMLout($line_Holder); #reads an XML file my $X_out = $xml->XMLin($data); # access XML data print Dumper($data); print "STATUS: $X_out->{issues}\n"; print "CHASSIS ID: $X_out->{device}{ChassisID}\n"; print "GROUP ID: $X_out->{device}{Group}{ID}\n"; print "DEVICE NAME: $X_out->{device}{Name}\n"; print "DEVICE NAME: $X_out->{device}{name}\n"; print "ERROR: $X_out->{device}{error}\n"; Do you have any idea how I could access the $VAR1 inside the text file? Regards, newbee_me

Code: <xs:complexType name="IDType"> <xs:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="2"> <xs:element name="DriversLicense" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="SSN" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="CompanyID" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> </xs:choice> </xs:complexType> <xs:simpleType name="an..35"> <xs:restriction base="an"> <xs:maxLength value="35" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> <xs:simpleType name="an"> <xs:restriction base="xs:string"> <xs:pattern value="[ !-~]*" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> ...now this will generate JAXBElement types due the the "choice" with a "maxOccurs 1" . I want to avoid those, so I did that by modifying the code to use a "Wrapper" element and move the maxOccurs up to a sequence tag as follows... Code: <xs:complexType name="IDType"> <xs:sequence maxOccurs="2"> <xs:element name=Wrapper> <xs:complexType> <xs:choice> <xs:element name="DriversLicense" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="SSN" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="CompanyID" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> </xs:choice> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> <xs:simpleType name="an..35"> <xs:restriction base="an"> <xs:maxLength value="35" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> <xs:simpleType name="an"> <xs:restriction base="xs:string"> <xs:pattern value="[ !-~]*" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> For class generating, looks like it works great - the JAXB element is replaced with a list of wrappers as String (i.e. List ) and compiles fine. However, when I unmarshall the actual XML data into the generated classes the data in the wrapper class is not populated - yet JAXB does not throw an exception. My question is: Do I need to change the schema a different way to make this work? Or is there something I can add/change/delete to the generated code or annotations? Appreciate any help you can offer! Thanks.

  • XSLT1.0: remove duplicates combined with an xsl:key

    I have the following piece of XML: <research> <research.record> <research.record_number>1</research.record_number> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some research type</value> </research.type> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of research</value> </research.type> <project.record> <priref>101</priref> <project.type> <value lang="en-US">some type of project</value> </project.type> </project.record> </research.record> </research> <research> <research.record> <research.record_number>2</research.record_number> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of research</value> </research.type> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">a third type of research</value> </research.type> <project.record> <priref>101</priref> <project.type> <value lang="en-US">some type of project</value> </project.type> </project.record> </research.record> </research> <research> <research.record> <research.record_number>3</research.record_number> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of research</value> </research.type> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">a fourth type</value> </research.type> <project.record> <priref>201</priref> <project.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of project</value> </project.type> </project.record> </research.record> </research> <research> ... etc ... With XSLT 1.0 I transform this XML into a list of unique project records by using xsl:key. So far, so good... The problem is: I also want to show unique research types for each unique project record. My wanted output would be: project.record 101: some research type, some other type of research, a third type of research project.record 201: some other type of research, a fourth type Hope someone can help me out with the right XSLT/XPATH. (Can only use XSLT1.0)

  • XSLT: Get node where one certain value is present

    - by Kim Andersen
Hi there I have the following XML: <data> <page id="1118"> <itms> <values> <value>1104</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1177"> <itms> <values> <value>1273</value> <value>1215</value> </values> </itms> </page> </data> I need to get the @id from the < page , where a certain value is present in one of the < value -tags. The id that need to be in the < value is kept in this: $itm/@id. This means that if my $itm/@id is equal to 1273, I need to get 1177 returned. I'm not quite sure how to achieve this. Actually I could have XML that looks like this as well: <data> <page id="1118"> <itms> <values> <value>1104</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1177"> <itms> <values> <value>1273</value> <value>1215</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1352"> <itms> <values> <value>1242</value> <value>1273</value> </values> </itms> </page> </data> If that's the case, I need the latest id, so this means that if the $itm/@id matches values in more < page 's, then I need to grab the value from the latest page. I the above case that would be 1352. Hope this makes sense to you guys. And by the way, I work with Umbraco CMS if that does any difference. Best Regards, Kim

  • Possible to set two values for two different nodes from user input in XForms?

    - by iHeartGreek
    Hi! I would like to set two values for two different nodes from user input in XForms. I am curious about how this is done, if at all possible. For example, if I have the following data model: <xf:instance id="criteria_data" xmlns=""> <criteria> <set> <root></root> <criterion></criterion> </set> </criteria> </xf:instance> <xf:instance id="choices" xmlns=""> <choices> <root label="The Choices">/AAA</root> <choice label="BBB">/@BBB</choice> </choices> </xf:instance> <xf:instance id="choices" xmlns=""> <choices> <root>/AAA</root> <choice label="BBB">/@BBB</choice> <choice label="CCC">/@CCC</choice> <choices> </xf:instance> <xf:bind id="data_criterion" nodeset="instance('criteria_data')/criteria/set/criterion"/> <xf:bind id="data_root" nodeset="instance('criteria_data')/criteria/set/root"/> <xf:bind id="choices_root" nodeset="instance('choices')/root"/> <xf:bind id="choices" nodeset="instance('choices')/choice"/> and my ui code looks like: <xf:select bind="data_criterion" appearance="full"> <xf:label>Your choices:</xf:label> <xf:itemset bind="choices"> <xf:label ref="@label"></xf:label> <xf:value ref="."></xf:value> </xf:itemset> </xf:select> But I essentially want it to be like this (though this is invalid and does not produce any xml at all): <xf:select appearance="full"> <xf:label>Your choices:</xf:label> <xf:itemset bind="choices"> <xf:label ref="@label"></xf:label> <xf:value bind="data_criterion" ref="."></xf:value> <xf:value bind="data_root" ref="instance('choices')/root"></xf:value> </xf:itemset> </xf:select> The XML output I want to achieve (if user checks "BBB"): <criteria> <set> <root>/AAA</root> <criterion>/@BBB</criterion> </set> </criteria> How can I achieve setting these two nodes for the one checkbox seletion? Hope that all made sense... Thanks! :)

  • simplexml help how do I parse this?

    - by bbutle01
    I haven't done any xml projects, so I'm not quite sure what to do with this data... I'm using curl to make a request to salesforce, and they give me back a response that I need to parse. I want to use simplexml. Here's part of the response: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="urn:partner.soap.sforce.com" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body> <loginResponse> <result> <metadataServerUrl> https://na6-api.salesforce.com/services/Soap/m/18.0/ </metadataServerUrl> <passwordExpired> false </passwordExpired> <sandbox> false </sandbox> <serverUrl> https://na6-api.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/18.0/ </serverUrl> <sessionId> !AQ4AQLtDIqY. </sessionId> <userId> </userId> <userInfo> <accessibilityMode> false </accessibilityMode> <currencySymbol> $ </currencySymbol> <orgDefaultCurrencyIsoCode> USD </orgDefaultCurrencyIsoCode> <orgDisallowHtmlAttachments> false </orgDisallowHtmlAttachments> <orgHasPersonAccounts> false </orgHasPersonAccounts> <organizationId> </organizationId> <organizationMultiCurrency> false </organizationMultiCurrency> <organizationName> Ox </organizationName> <profileId> sdfgsdfg </profileId> <roleId> sdfgsdfg </roleId> <userDefaultCurrencyIsoCode xsi:nil="true"/> <userEmail> ###@gmail.com </userEmail> <userFullName> ### ### </userFullName> <userId> asdfasdf </userId> <userLanguage> en_US </userLanguage> <userLocale> en_US </userLocale> <userName> [email protected] </userName> <userTimeZone> America/Chicago </userTimeZone> <userType> Standard </userType> <userUiSkin> Theme3 </userUiSkin> </userInfo> </result> </loginResponse> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> Anyway, I expected to feed that stuff (we'll call it data) into $results = simplexml_load_string($data); var_dump($results); And that would give me all the data back... and then to access specific parts, it would be $results-body-loginResponse-blah-blah... But It's not giving me that, it's not really giving me anything back, just an empty simple xml object... So one website made me think I might need an XSLT to read this correctly. Or something else made me think it's because I don't have at the top. Help!
